Protein from supplements or food

ad

I hear often that we should get our proteins (and nutrients for that matter) mainly from the foods we eat rather than supplements. So I ponder this and ask myself; Considering for instance, protein supplements, having the perfect proteins complete with all the aminos and other added nutrients and untainted from poisonous chemicals, with the ratio of proteins, carbs and fats we choose. Then we have our table food, meats filled with hormones and antibiotics, plants sprayed to the hilt with poisonous insecticides and weed killers. It would seem to me that eating supplements as our main food and eating food as supplements would be a better choice. Please enlighten me if Im wrong

Liquid protein does not stay in the digestive tract long enough to be fully digested.
Food has other minerals, fibers, vitamins, etc., that have a synergic relationship; much of which is still not understood.

One of the several problems with the modern diet is that we eat processed foods, and rely on supplements. And that kills our metabolic rate. We eat less but are consuming more calories than ever before; and our metabolism is dropping.

As a society we are getting fatter, not leaner.

Eating complex carbs, good fat, and protein turns up our metabolic furnace.
