Test-Eq-Primo Results?
6'1
229lbs
30yrs old
1st cycle in 8 years
In week 7 now, running 400 test E/400 Eq + 600 Primo - each week
My question is I just turned up the intensity of my workouts last week, now doing 2 body parts per day and feeling a bit burned out today. How is that possible? I used to pull the exact same workout protocol in my 20's off cycle and felt like a million bucks. Granted I did go balz to the wall heavy last week, but still shouldn't I be recovering quickly on this gear? I'm also at a little higher BF than in years past
Is my DHT to high in relation to test?
Should I add 50mg Var/day for the last 5 weeks of cycle?
Should I stop whining and give myself another week to adjust mentally to the higher intensity?
I've got some androman cream 5%, HCG 5,000, and Aromisin on hand to work with (was saving the HCG + anti e for the last 3-4 weeks before PCT at 1,500IU a week)
fire away folks, appreciate any feed back -

You might be over training it is possible even on juice. I would take a week off to rest. I don't think the answer is putting more stuff in your system. Sometimes you have to take 1 step backwards to take 2 steps forward.
solid advice, gonna take next week and rest it up. One of those things, you know what you should do, but that inner self is resistant
I'm half way through a 16 weeker. In my 9th week and I feel broken. Developing tennis elbow in both arms. Arm and leg splints and because I upped my test a little bit I think I'm getting a little test flu.....again.
Going to the doctors on Monday for a cortisol injection into my elbows. I need time off. Just going to eat well for a week and get back to it.
Sad thing is I know I won't be able to stay out the gym for a whole week:(
I know its hard but after years and years of not taking time off I finally got it. Recovery is a HUGE part of this sport and that week off will hopefully repair your muscles and other issues. Get a lot of sleep that's when you recover most. The funny thing is by taking that week off you will probably grow better when you come back. I take at least 1 week off every 6 months to help recover. If I need more I take it but it does a world of good.
I know mate, swear the gym is addictive:-/
I feel exactly the same today and I have decided to force myself a few days rest. I put it down to the shitty sleep I've had this week. Going to get some quality rest and come back in a couple of days fighting hard.
1 full on training session is worth 2 half assed attempts IMO.
Listen to your body and react....
lay out your training schedule, lets take a look at what you got going. I f you do it right this kind of training can be good, but it is really easy to over train like this! Also how long where you training prior to starting this cycle? and what was that training schedule like?
I've been training for the past 10 months before cycle as follows:
M - Chest
T- Legs
W - Back
Th- Shoulders
Fri- Arms
Sat& Sun REST
ON cycle I did 6 weeks the same but now have gone back to a variation I have been doing for the past 15 years
Day 1- Chest & BAck
Day 2 - Shoulders & Arms
Day 3 Legs
Day 4- REST
Day 5 Chest &Back
Day 6 Shoulders &Arms
Day 7 Legs (Lighter)
Day 8 REST
Day 9 REST
Repeat Day 1
typically doing 12-15 good sets per body part and push myself a bit heavier on the days leading up to the 2 day rest period. Also taking 1 lift to max every 10 days. For instance week 1 I did dead-lifts for max, the following week I'll go for max clean and jerk, than squat etc..
And I usually work my up to supersets of the 2 body-parts after a few weeks, but this past week I jumped in a little too aggressive and started blasting away back to back... Probably what crashed me.
Well in my opinion you are over training! My opinion is based on how my body responds to training and this is something I have tried many times before and always resulted in over training. And to be honest it only takes me about 2 weeks of this and I can really FEEL my body talking to me, I would say that your body is telling you exactly what is wrong, its tired! I notice for myself, that being on cycle doesnt mean that I can train body parts 2wice a week and get better results, what it means is I can train harder, longer and more intense once a week and get better results! regardless the body needs rest, especially when we start getting into gaining size and age. What I mean by that is when I was 25 I could train like that and my body didnt really say "hey your over training" but I couldnt get no damn bigger. Now im older and im bigger and I KNOW when im over training....So my first suggestion is one body part per every 6 days, train it good and hard and let it rest. next thing is on your current training regime your working arms to much, I would seriously consider a push pull system....I just a call and got to leave but ill finish up when I get back.
How did guys like Arnold, Zane, Draper and Ferrigno get it done doing each BP 2x a week? Sucks being mere mortal haha
I know I gotta back off and listen to the body. P.S Blood work just posted, i'm >1,500 Test total so your right, definitely over trained last week, too much too soon.
Thanks for the reply bro.
You know I dont believe that these guys did this kind of training nonstop, like I said split day training is tricky and most people dont do it because of the over training aspect. However if you use it as a means for purposely overtraining it can be effective, but after 2 weeks on you take 2 with a 1 time a day training regime. If I was gonna do split training it would look something like this
Mon AM legs/squats, hack squats, leg press
mon pm legs/ leg extentions, leg curls, calves
Tue AM chest/Incline bumbells, flat bench dumbells, cable flys, cable crossovers
Tue PM chest/barbell incline, barbell flat bench, weighted dip/triceps
Wed AM Back/Bent over rows, seated rows, weighted pull ups
Wed PM Back/seated close grip pulldowns, lawn mowers/biceps
Thur AM shoulders
Thur PM traps/upright rows/dead lifts
fri off
sat repeat
Thats just off the top of my head but I would start like that and then adjust as I needed, after a couple weeks take a week or 2 off for 1 day training and then back on to split day training....Also with kind of training you should increase your calorie intake by about 500 to 750.
you caught my interest in this subject. how many sets per exercise, and is the rep range typical 8 - 12? i like to throw in this protocol every once in awhile, and never considered going 2 wks 2 a day and then 1 wk 1 a day, which to me sounds like common sense but sometimes i feel like im searching for that common sense when it comes to lifting.
When I did it the idea wasnt that I was trying to increase sets or reps but simply that I could increase weight on the same amount of sets and reps. Also when doing this its very easy to over train so I wouldnt advise supersets, drop sets, etc. What you want is slow heavier sets to positive failure. Now I know my body fairly well and how I respond to different exercises, so for example chest in the AM, I would go heavy with dumbells really concentrating on getting as deep as I could, and then for cable flies and crossovers I would do 6 sets of each because they dont fatigue my triceps. I save the Barbell work for the PM because they really fatigue my triceps. Same deal with back, after im done with all my back work I can always do 50 or 60 reverse close grip pullups and these fatigue my biceps the most, so I save that for the PM. So the idea is to set it up according to your body and how it works, hit it heavier and get those deep tissue muscle fibers. But like I said in my earlier posts I dont advocate this sort of training unless you know your body well.
lol this caught my interest too! what if you did over-exhausting training for two weeks prior to the start of a heavy mass cycle?! then you reduce training, and blow up???
zewiwhat's your Diet like? Make sure your getting your 8hrs of sleep(you're not 20). I'm 34 and as I have gotten older, I've noticed my diet needs to change every year on gear or not. To keep my energy up. What I did was add green tea and salmon to my diet. And some extra B vitamins.
Well, in years past I was much more strict and followed closer to the ZONE (if your familiar with it. 40, 40 30) But over the last year I've been eating very raw food. grass fed meats, butters and raw whole milk. black rice, brown rice, juicing fruits, and wild chicken eggs and lots of salmon, coconut, curry's etc. I've sort of ventured into more of a high fat diet per say, but essentially because the fat's i'm taking are so nutrient dense.
In all, i'm eating really natural foods and tons of it. but definitely higher fats and I've upped the carbs a bit too over the last year just to gain weight cause I very easily drop weight if i'm not crushing 6 meals a day..
sgtstedankoImho. Yes,I think you should be recovering quicker, have more energy, yada, yada, yada. Your gear should be in full tilt boogie mode, right about now... Could be that you're over training, brother. It's just as easy, if not easier on cycle. Adjust your routine. Take a day or so off. How's your rest, both in & out of the gym? You ain't in your 20s anymore. Wait till you're 35+ : ( I'd get some bloodwork done up in a couple weeks. Just to make sure. Oh yeah, Stop whining. & I'd also run your var@80+ for 8weeks, right up until you start Pct. Blood work, to check your levels across the board, would help immensely. Good luck. Kmi
Thanks for the feed back sgt, got blood drawn 2 days ago so will have results in a couple days hopefully. Rest wise I'm doing pretty good 8-9 hrs a night. I don't have enough Var for 8 weeks only have 200x 10mg
sgtstedankoCool... Is probably save the var, & add to it for the next cycle. Or, if you do run it. I'd run it waiting for Pct to start, adjusting the start date accordingly. Keep us informed, brother
