My first Test E cycle - Diet and Training Issues
ad
Dear all,
I am about to (i.e. not yet now) start my very first steroid cycle:
Steroid used: Test E 250mg x 2 per week for 12 weeks (with Arimidex if necessary). No other steroids will be used.
Then rest for 2 weeks (i.e. 13th and 14th week)
Then with 4 weeks of PCT (Nolvadex and Clomid)
I know that the effect of Test E will not be conspicuous until after the 3rd or 4th week of its administration.
-
So as far as diet is concerned, should I step up my calorie intake right at the first day of the cycle, or wait until the Test E begins to show its effect?
-
Also for the training, should I step up my workout right at day 1, or until the Test E begin to show its effect?
Really appreciate for your advice in advance.

slicknormanhkFirst, my gratitude to all above who have given me valuable advice just after a few hours after my initial post.
But I think I need to elaborate more on the "workout" issue.
Currently I work out every other day. By "step up my training", I mean should I, for example, work out every day since day 1 of my test E intake, or should I defer the step-up until 3 to 4 weeks after taking Test E? I ask this question because from various sources I know Test E shows its effects slowly, compared with other steroids like dianabol...
Serum levels begin to climb within 12 hours after first injection. So, hit it immediately.
slicknormanhkYou mean even after injecting Test E?
Yes, it starts straight away even though small at first then peaks at 24hrs in.
slicknormanhkOh thanks for your information.
DobermannWreck waiting to happen
It looks like you have poor knowledge about nutrition and training on its own.i would advice not touching gear before you do more research and on it and up your game on nutrition and training.PED are not something you take and then start training hard and you just blow up.peace
If you're looking to bulk, up your cals. Do it now.
You should be training to your maximum potential whether on gear or not. The gear will push you past your potential or plateau but you should have been doing this from the jump.
PcushionThere’s one problem and that’s you’re starting your PCT way to early. The two week concept is just way to broad. Determining when to start pct is based involves half-lives and doses as well as lab work. It takes the body roughly one day to remove each carbon so the more carbon the longer the half life for example the acetate Esther has two carbon groups therefore the half-life would be roughly 2 days. I will include a link of how many carbon groups each Esther has and let you do the math from there. Please keep in mind that this isn’t universal it’s more of a general guideline. This also demonstrates why labs are so important.

As for the diet you should always use your diet to cater to your goals but yes go ahead and start pushing it on day one make sure to eat the right foods don’t over eat.
Per the workout always push yourself that’s on cycle or off. No point in takin gear if you haven’t already pushed your genetic potential. Remember steroids don’t increase ligament and tendon strength. Make sure to not hurt yourself. I find that increasing reps before weight help keep away injuries. Good Luck and Happy Pinning
Good read and good idea to increase reps before wheight. Our ligaments and tendons can't keep up. Get to big and strong to quick. So if your pct the way you say it would be 16 days? Check this out

PcushionThe article I posted is a decent read reply though all i recommend taking from it are the carbon groups. The article is completely wrong about ester weight.
PcushionNo sir I my PCT is run for 8 weeks. Consist of Clomid
150mg 1week
100mg 2 weeks
50mg 3 weeks
25mg 2 weeks
Aromasin 12.5 mg eod from day one of PCT until the last
I do a prop taper so I don’t sit idle while the enanthate wears off. My prop taper is designed so that there is only 10 day wash out between last prop shot and beginning pct during that 10 days I start HCG and Aromasin. The Aromasin runs 25mg a day in this time then drops to 12.5 for pct.
I'm talking bout his cycle and length of time to start pct on a test e cycle with no prop taper. You said it was to early so if half life is 8 days per one day of carbon than pct should start at 16 days?
PcushionSee here is the thing we dose gear by the week the body adjust its production by the day. Also the carbon removal as stated is not universal many variables can effect this. That said on a dose of 500mg it and using the carbon theory and using an 8 day half life at 40 days you would have 15mg+/- still in the system. The average male produces between 2.5-11mg a day so somewhere between 40 and 45 days your androgen levels will be low enough to run a pct. I always take about a day and a half off of the carbon theory and for the most part it’s spot on.
slicknormanhkSo do you mean that, instead of waiting for 14 days, I should wait for 40 to 45 days before starting PCT? Please advise.
PcushionSo I use the carbon theory and take off 1 day from that. So 7 days for half life. So every 7 days the amount the test present in your system is cut in half. So at 35 days you will be at a point where pct will have an effect. I would weight 35 days. 14 days after your last injection you will still have 125mg and that’s a lot more than the 2.5-11mg a natural male produces on a day.
'Also for the training, should I step up my workout right at day 1, or until the Test E begin to show its effect?' - So when you train normally you don't try as hard as you could be doing? ...When I lift weights I give it 120% every single damn time whether running gear or not.
Sounds like a good first cycle bud. I would always step up your work out on/off cycle. Cals depending on what your trying to accomplish. I would add what your trying to accomplish so people can help you better.
slicknormanhkHm.... Because I don't want to be constantly on gear - After this cycle, my next cycle will be on next March if everything is OK, and 1 cycle per year thereafter.... I have no intention to achieve the size necessary for competing Mr. Olympia, but I really want to retain as much as the muscle gained during the non-cycle days... So how should I train during the cycle? Should I train the same body part every day?
That last question "should I train the same bodypart every day" tells me you're way over your head already.
You work the muscle as hard and intense as you can once a week. Start with that..Yes there are more advanced programs but I don't believe you're there yet.
If you can train a bodypart more than once a week then you didn't hit it hard enough the previous workout. Think of your muscles like a scab...you don't pick the scab, and you let it heal correctly. You break down your muscle fibers enough and feed and rest that bodypart.
And no reason to do 30 sets for 1 bodypart like I see a shit ton of people do. Do 12 sets with 4 working sets for major parts and 8 with 3 working sets for minor parts.
Read up on what a "working set" would look like. Also I see you're already planning the next cycle..why? You haven't even mastered how to train correctly.
slicknormanhkAbout my "next" cycle: don't worry, everything is tentative, moreover if I am to start the next cycle, it will be in March 2020 at the earliest... So I think I should have plenty of time to learn how to cycle and have plenty of time to recover after this cycle..
