Looking for cycle advice for extreme novice, please help
Hey, 27 year old male, 180 pounds, 6 feet, I'm the type that goes to the gym and does cardio/spin 4 days per week and have a mildly organized lifting routine. My body is... blah. I look lean but have a little belly pooch. I am beyond committed to getting my body right, I will alter my diet (currently it's decent) and stick to a weight lifting routine if I can finally start seeing results.
I'm looking for advice for a SIMPLE and least-expensive cycle possible. I didn't necessarily say cheap, but just looking for something that I can afford without having to buy 3-4 vials of oil.
My goal: to become a little more lean (which I know is diet-related, working on that) and to mildly/moderately tone/define my body. I'm sure there's plenty of advice on here for people looking to really bulk up, but that's not my goal, I want to stay lean but just have a better torso/arms/chest.
Would I be ok with just Test Enanthate or Cypionate 250 mg per week plus finasteride 1 mg daily for side effects? LIke I said, I really don't want to get into complicated, expensive, super-intense cycles, am really hoping that enanth/cyp alone would be ok.

Here is a prime example of what happens if you use gear and don't back it up with diet and workout intensity:

First off, until your diet and lifting routine are rock solid, their is no point in using any gear. The gear does not make up for a subpar diet and/or lifting routine. You need to get those in check first. If you half-ass it with diet and lifting you will have poor outcome with your cycle.
Second, If money is an issue for cycling, then you better not start a cycle. The cost of the 2-3 vials you will need to run a cycle is going to pale in comparison to the amount of quality food you will have to consume. Take a look at the cost of beef and chicken breast and you will be eating a couple of pounds of it a day for the next twelve weeks. Food is where the costs come into play. Like I said there is no half-assing it with food or you will fail. Simple as that.
I don't mean that money is an issue in the sense that it needs to be cheap, I'm saying that I want something simple and don't require the highest quality/best brands to achieve that. Aka I'm looking for a dirty martini made with Absolute... not Grey Goose and not Svedka if you know what I mean.
Essentially my question is: could I do just Test E at 500 mg/week plus an aromatase inhibitor for 10-12 weeks? I don't want all the extra stuff I see people talking about, I'm not trying to be that intense. My diet is right and can afford the increased cost of food on my cycle. I'm just asking for what's the best specific combo that is not super expensive?
Once you have exhausted your natty gains, a basic Test E or C cycle is the correct way to go. No need to add exotic compounds until way down the road.
It sounds like you could achieve your goals w/o using steroids. Go to the gym with a focus on lifting weights, and use the cardio as a warmup. Get your diet dialed in, and watch the muscle start coming on.
What does your current weight lifting routine look like? How much are you benching, squatting, and deadlifting as of now?
I'm pretty committed to using some type of oil, I need an extra boost. I already admit I can improve my diet and am starting to work with a few friends who are far more advanced, so my routine is improving but I haven't noticed any changes. Either way, I'm definitely interested in at least trying one cycle of roids, but not sure if I should go with test enan/cyp or if there's something else I can use. I want something simple and not too expensive.
I'm gonna guess that you could put on an easy 10 pounds of noob gains if you lifted weights with the right intensity and frequency. Steroids plus spin class and you will get a nice Lance Armstrong physique.
To give you an idea of the cost, my last cycle looked like this. Just a simple first cycle of Test E
Gear $120
AI's $85
PCT $145
bloodwork $200
Extra food $1000
2 trips to the blood bank, free
1 trip to the DR $120
Shutting down testicles for 3 months, and hoping they come back.... priceless.
