+ 3 First Cycle
Reaching out to the Vets:
-
I found this site to be an outstanding source of information, and will continue to utilize the resources to learn more everyday. That being said I will be turning 27 this month being 6' 210 lbs (Currently amidst a bulk / started at 12% BF). This year will mark 8 years of serious lifting and sticking to a disciplined diet and nutritional plan. My training regiment consists of 5-6 days a week.
-
I took the advice of a vet looking to only use Test E for 250mg twice a week for 10 weeks. (Seems like a standard noob dosage until my body gets acquainted)
-
I am looking at having Arimidex on hand intra cycle to prevent common issues. (Looking for dosage amounts for aroused problems)
-
PCT will be a combo of Nolvadex 40 mg week 1 & 2 and 20 mg week 3 &4, and Clomid 100mg for weeks 1 & 2 and 50mg week 3 and 4. (Again this seems standard for a beginners cycle)
-
Also awaiting tests to find my baseline.
-
I am a bit nervous about *pinning, but ill get over it. I haven't ordered any gear and wont start my cycle until I have everything on hand. Feel free to add any additional comments or or things that I have missed (because I don't know everything).
Cheers!

Knowledge is power. Happy grow!
Id like to thank everyone for all the great advice and feedback. Again this is why this forum is so valuable. The next steps will be to tweak the diet and shave some BF. I want to maximize results and reduce risk as much as possible during my first cycle, and it is apparent that goal isn't realistic with my current BF%. I will make a secondary post to follow up on progress after my cut phase when I "think" I'm ready.
Couple of things to help you along on your cut if you haven't seen them yet. You should have a good cycle once your ready to go. Refreshing to see someone take some constructive advice. Any questions, just ask.

You're welcome, bro. With a plan like that, your physique starts getting in shape just as soon as you step forward, keep walking, and don't look back...
Do this... Query Harris Benedict Equation and calculate your BMR with and without activity. From there, bring your daily caloric intake back to your forum (here), and we can work out a weight loss macros for you. I will post up a rough estimate soon. Really, I'd like to see you post it first, so I know you grasp the concept.
rough estimated idea for daily macros: 300-315g/175-200g/100g (p/c/f). Monitor your fats and carbs. You can decrease carbs to 175g per day, too. As your body fat decrease with diet midification and some cardio, recalculate your BMR and adjust the macros as your weight changes. Just don't lose energy you need for your weight resistance regimens.
Catalyst has a LIVE DIET CLINIC in General Talk forum section that WILL prove beneficial and Makwa has great ideas for daily cal/mac interventions that can be tailored to meet your goals. Send Makwa an FR. Catalyst's link:
Are you ecto, endo, meso, or a mix of these body types? And, do you lose and gain weight fast, slow, etc. Trying to get an idea about your metabolism. And, seeing your bloodwork will be an added bonus helping us address a holistic approach. Looking forward to seeing you succeed, brother!
In addition to all the great advice so far when pinning have everything set up neatly so you avoid fumbling around. I use 2 different needles one to draw 20g and one to pin 23 or 25 (keeps the pinning needle sharp). Always inspect the bottle for debris, there's been cases of pieces of rubber from the top breaking off and falling in. Wipe the bottle tops before each use and properly dispose of syringes. Watch youtube videos and read the forums on proper locations to rotate. And of course make sure to wash your hands.
Take care bro

this looks very good man, i havent seen a first cycle forum planned out this good on here ever. good job bro! that blood work is very important pre during and post cycle, dont forget that youre nutrition and training comes first always.
+1
GnarkillGood for you man you got your stuff figured out. pinning was the scariest thing for me I would get dizzy even getting blood drawn but my first cycle I was so stoked I loaded that bad boy up and pinned it like a boss in quad I don't stick it in fast I tap the top to pop it through and then push it in but do whatever makes you feel the most comfortable good luck bro
Testrogen_PropC...I also started with quads simply for the fact I could sit down and it's right there in front of you/easy to manipulate the syringe. Downside is my quads get way more sore from injections than my glutes, but glutes can be tricky for a first timer to do themselves because of the angle. I'd say quads are definitely easiest for a first timer out of the big 3 pin sites (glute, delt, quad)
One more thing man, when it comes to pinning, it's not that complicated man. As someone who was nervous about this very recently, here's my advice.
The most used areas are glutes, delts, and quads. In terms of PIP (Post Injection Pain), it's really not that bad after the first time if you don't inject poorly.
How to not inject poorly: Warm up the oil beforehand, alcohol swab the location. Using your free hand, pull the skin taut. Take your time, don't stab the needle quickly into your muscle. Aspirate, keep the needle steady. Inject slowly (30-60 seconds / 1 ml), pull the needle out following the same path it went in.
Simple as that, read up on injection sites and watch videos, take note of the angle at which it pierces the skin.
Good luck, get swole.
I make my own shakes bro it will save you a ton of money
I use 16 oz of 2% milk
1/2 a cup of instant oatmeal (the kind in the big tub)
2 tbsp of peanut butter
1 banana
1scoop of whey with the slow, medium and fast release in it.
It's right around 50 grams of protein
About 80 grams of carbs
Roughly 900 cals
Hope this can help ya get your cal intake up,I eat 6 whole meals a day with 50 grams of protein every meal.
With the shakes I get between 4-5000 cals a day.
Hey man, I got some words for ya that I hope will help out, I'm also running my first cycle, on week 2. First off, make sure you have the staples ingrained into your mind and life: Diet, and training, no matter what these are the most important factors, natty or not.
Make sure you completely understand how the HPTA works: testosterone and Estrogen, Testosterone and its conversion to Estrogen, how to combat this using Aromatase Inhibitor (AIs), DHT, and especially PCT!!
if you're lean enough, then you might be ready to cycle. If you're not, time to get cutting. At high bodyfat % you will convert more Testosterone to Estrogen and will experience bad side effects.. If you need to cut, then this is a perfect time to "Prime" your body. Priming is when you cut (people often carb cycle too), and then begin your cycle immediately afterwards and start bulking. When you come out of the cut your body will be in sort of a "sponge" state (Insulin sensitivity), since you will also be on gear, you will blow up bro.
If you understood and know everything I said, then you're prepared. Mentally. Make sure you're ready physically.
Good luck man,
Good advice +2
After seeing this guys other thread, I just hope he doesn't start giving dosing and ancillary advice and end up confusing someone....
Post BF and update your stats. Thanks. Will you post an unidentifiable pic?
Updated. Will post a pic later, and pre-cycle poses at a later time.
Okay. Thanks, bro. Interested in seeing your base before you inject.
Ok I added a pic in self pics.
looks like you have everything set up, know what you need to do and have things planned responsibly +1 for that.
what is your dietary intake? what is your body fat at? how many pounds of LBM have you put on in the past year?
I also recommend you read this thread. this guy did everything perfect and still ran into issues. im not trying to scare you, just trying to remind you of the reality of the situation so you know what you're getting into and the possible outcomes. steroids can be awesome but they can also come with a cost .

Macro split is 50/30/20 at 3600 cal. Carrying around 15% from the bulk, and have gained around 3lbs LBM this year.
The link seems broken, and absolutely knowing all the risks is important.
https://www.eroids.com/forum/general/over-40-trt/helpadvicequestions-abo....
that link wont work because of the period at the end of it........... get a MOD to edit the period off and it will work fine then.
+3 for passing a knowledge link to guy who sounds serious about research.
Can you post your foods? Get a scale and weigh your foods after they are cooked. I can't keep you from using AAS, that's your choice. However, before using you should at least max out your daily cal/mac plan and see what that will do...
I haven't purchased any gear yet. Still weighing out my options. I appreciate any advice.
Yo comprendo, mi amigo...
Current Food Plan
1 Gallon Water
Breakfast:
2 Whole Egss, 5 Egg Whites. 1 Cup Cooked Oatmeal, 1 Cup Blueberries
Mid Morning:
Mass Gainer (w 2% milk 2 servings), 2 Servings Almonds (48) pieces
Lunch:
8oz Chicken Breast (Grilled)
6 oz Yams (Raw)
Mid Afternoon:
1 Serving Almonds
4 oz Yams (Raw)
(Glass of 2% milk)
Dinner
2 Cups Cooked White Rice
8 oz Chicken Breast (Grilled)
(Either Brock or Asparagus)
Intra Workout:
Carbs
Post Workout:
Lean Protein Shake
(Small snack occasionally)
Whats stands out to me is why are you eating egg whites but yet drinking pre made mass shake?
Eat the whole eggs, bulking especially and when you run out of the mass gainer start making your own. Fix that bs mid afternoon snack with a form of meat. Need more vegetables, Veg with proteins aid in digestion and other good benifits. Rid the intra carbs and put them post with the protein. I see no red meat either.
But after a peak of your pic you ahould be stripping a bit before you start a bulker. Get lean so all this is more effective. You need a good 8-10 week cutting plan here.
yep
Each meal needs more protein beef, salmon, chicken
6-8 oz beef with breakfast. A real chicken breast sandwich midmorning with mass gainer, a serving of macaroni and cheese at lunch...maybe include small amount of mixed fruits with nuts throughout the entire day for hunger attacks. I would use casein/chicken mixture in post workout shake.
Great post, fruits and nuts are a great snack addition. 4 ounces of nuts at an ounce a sitting gives good fats and protein and should fend off a craving in a healthy way.
if you're set in using mass gainers, have you tried making your own?
do you work out at night, is that why your intra and post is listed last?
you should probably be over 4k calories while running if you're bulking.
