+ 1 BEGINNER here, just ordered a "Beginner" 10 week cycle of test..... Advice? Knowledge?

ad

So I'm 29 just under 5'9, 178lbs and 19% body fat.

Im gonna start off by saying im not embarrassed to admit I dont quite know what Im getting myself into. Ive done research in the past and listened to a lot of advice from friends but I think its about time i start doing my own investigating. Any help would be great and appreciated, so thank you in advance for any suggestions or critique. So here goes...

I recently purchased a 10/week testosterone cycle. Includes test prop, test E 250. After taking the leap of faith and just going ahead and placing an order I was told by a friend this might be a rather harsh cycle to begin with and some side effects might arise. I was recommended to take some sort of estrogen blocker a week before i begin my cycle of test. I was recommended Anastrozole/Armidex to PREVENT possible side effects such as Gyno. So i did just that and obtained a couple bottles of Anastrozole. But before i begin at all I would really like some advice or some explaination as to how this would in fact help me out with my test cycle.

Let me know what you think
Thanks!

Just curious, how long you been training?
Im thinking you've hit the gym for about a year and your sick of lack of progress?
Steroids are'nt going to do much if your diet is crap and your training/technique is sub-par.

SickPleasures's picture

ive been hitting the gym since I was 16, In my early 20's i was a solid ripped little monster and at my peak i was 195lbs with a 29" waist. I was obsessed but really went at it blindly, I had no guidance and really just picked everything up along the way and paying attention to others at the gym. But i was determined and it was very gratifying to workout very hard. At the time all the gym rats speculated i was using. I was even asked by one of the bigger guys at the gym if i was "on something" haha, I niavely thought he meant like protein bars or something. Then he explained what he meant and mentioned that everyone at the gym thinks Im on roids haha. Boy was i proud to hear that! Couldnt have heard a better compliment than that.

Needless to say life happens and we all get busy. Hitting the gym obsessively isnt as easy as when you are a carefree teenager or 20 something year old kid just trying to get laid more. Its been a while since i hit the weights religiously. Last couple years has been more about maintaing. I easily get big when i really crack the whip on myself, I have a lot of good muscle memory thankfully. Ive always entertained the idea of AAS but never felt i had the right guidance to take that leap. i really think it would reset my eagerness at the gym that I once had...

Hope that gives you a little idea of where im at.

SO...Today I decided to take another BF% test being that i felt it was rather inaccurate to begin with. This second time with the same little electronic gadget said i was at 16% this time. so im not sure what to go off of. anyone have a good idea of what i should depend on ? Any better more accurate ways of getting a BF% read?

One of these handy gadgets might help ya get a more accurate reading.

SickPleasures's picture

yeah i figured this was the best way to go. cool thanks!

SickPleasures's picture

I would love to get a diet plan going. Any advice on that would be greatly appreciated

Sumatra_Triangle's picture

Hey bro I'm a chef from the CIA and I have thousands and thousands of recipes. I try to post one up every day If I can. I'm a fat fuck, and I don't know shit about AAS, But I do know cooking! Hit me up!

SickPleasures's picture

hahaha thanks but id love to find some decent recipes that would benefit my goals and actually taste good. got any of those ?

HllwdBdBoy's picture

not to mention that the higheer BF the bigger chance of BP issues

HllwdBdBoy's picture

as a point of reference for when you are ready to begin cycle, theoretically 2vials/20mls = a 10 wk cycle but realistically you may come up an ml or so short due to randomly filled vials and/or gear left in pin. having some extra prop on hand can help you reach the 10wk marker if you come up short

SickPleasures's picture

Cooll dude thanks for the insight. by the way I love Motorhead too!

MikeTyson's picture

5'9 178 19%? have you worked out in the gym?

SickPleasures's picture

Whats a GYM ? haha c'mon of course, why would i be on a site like this before ive been in a gym haha. Ive been hitting the weights since i was 16. But hey yah never know, im sure there are some knuckleheads out there. Ill post some pictures. i honestly think i got an inaccurate reading of my BF%. i would love some advice on obtaining a legit reading

MikeTyson's picture

cool, gotcha. you probably just got an inaccurate reading because those numbers seem out of whack for that height/weight, would imply very low muscle mass. dont stress too much about getting an accurate reading, do the mirror-test. "can i see my abs?"

SickPleasures's picture

yeah i can see the first 2 rows. getting soft by the 3

Fastmouth is correct!... derogitory comments will not be tolerated no longer in cycles forums, points have been deducted from your karma... bring something positive or stay the fuck out of my pages.

SickPleasures's picture

Well thanks for making me NOT feel like a morbid obesity haha. Its all good though, im not offended. I really want to learn

fastmouth's picture

Seriously? another one of these comments? Mods please we've been thru this before.. Comments like these really dont add shit to the discussion.

Sorry mate this kinda attitude doesnt fit in with the culture of this site.

MikeTyson's picture

yea i can see this sounded derogatory but it was actually meant to be a serious question. i was leading into the point that the OP should consider getting a base-line level of fitness before starting to use AAS. i think i was in a hurry and hit send too quick.

SickPleasures's picture

haha in reply to your inviting comment, yeah im very familiar with the gym. And its all good i can take a wise crack. But to be honest i dont know how accurate my bodyfat test was. I did it at the gym with some gadget you hold over your head that some how claims to read you body fat. 19% seems high but i really wouldnt know how to go about getting a legit and accurate reading. how about some advice on that? That would actually be much more helpful. Thanks

Sumatra_Triangle's picture

Wow that sounds interesting! LOL I really want a Star Trek Tri corder to test my fat. I have a Tanita BF scale. It was only $25. It asks for your sex and age. Then it gives you a # that changes 1-3% everyday. I just average it over the week. I have seen loss, but I'm diffidently not suggesting you get this product.
Next time at the gym ask the name Of that device, I'm intrigued! I had a 12 point caliper test done when I was stationed in japan. I have read the most accurate is a water displacement test.

i replied above

I'm with every one on this get the bf% down! Much less to worry about when your on cycle. Look at it this way if you do all you can to lose the weight before your cycle you might lose muscle but you'll gain it back annnnd more when you start the cycle while having all those nice cut defined muscles to show off! Golden rules for melting fat for me are lower carbs and stopping carb consumption half way through the day. Doing a full body intense workout followed by cardio. The time you spend lowering bf% should also be spent researching more, you have tons to learn and AAS doesn't have to be dangerous if you research. Hope that helps getting you started!

SickPleasures's picture

definitely helps. sounds like no more cookies for me haha

OmNom's picture

You can always have a cheat day to eat what ever junk you want once a week to speed up the metabolism

SickPleasures's picture

sounds good. thanks

Test will convert into estrogen in your body. Arimadex helps block this from happening. Some estrogen is good so the adex will give you a good balance of test/estro ratio.I would run it at .25-.5 mg eod. Start with .25 and if you still see sides then up it to .5mg The cycle itself is a good beginner cycle. My only advice is get your bf% down before you start. The higher body fat will be sure to add water retention. Details is right spend a month doing lots of cardio and keeping your diet in check. The lower bf will yield greater results.

SickPleasures's picture

cool man thank you for the advice.

White Bolt's picture

Sweet bro, but keep in mind this isn't a miracle drug. If your diet remains poor, the end result won't be a desireable. I'd cut out all the junk food and take the next 3-4 months getting your body fat down to like 13% ish and your food plan on check then bang out your cycle. Just my two cents

SickPleasures's picture

thanks dude. much appreciated. I got a body fat read at the gym from this wacky little gadget that you hold over you face with arms extended outward. I really dont know how accurate it is, 19% sounds a little high to me but hey ive never measured before. any suggestions on whats an accurate read?

tennessee21's picture

Search "beginner cycle" in the search bar. There will be page after page of info

Catalyst's picture

The answers you're looking for are easily found here with a big of research/reading. It will benefit you if you go through this process rather than being given all the answers. We'll help you out, but you've got a ton of information to read before that point.

One point of advice - drop that bf% down before starting a cycle. You'll experience less sides/problems as a result. Cardio and diet before you start

SickPleasures's picture

fair enough. what would be an ideal body fat %?
regardless im curious about the estrogen blocker recommendation. is that a reliable idea?

tennessee21's picture

You do not want to star your AI a week before. It will crash your estrogen. You'll find what you are looking for using the search bar. I promise. Welcome aboard!

SickPleasures's picture

ok I will definitely begin some reading then. thanks

Im sure ill have some question to follow shortly. thanks for the welcome too

tennessee21's picture

No problem man! I would suggest putting off a cycle till you learn all you can about aas, need to know what you are putting in your body. Just stow those goodies away and out of site till your ready. Just m opinion.

fastmouth's picture

well said, and agreed. Im on my first now and did a full year's research and planning before my first pin. Fuck am I glad I waited and researched.

Mate u've probably already read this 84 times on this forum but, know where you're at and where u wanna be. Do a lotta research. if u can't wait to get into ur cycle as im sure u will be. Not many of us can resist the temptation when ur gear is sittin staring at u. Then do a lotta research in a SHORT TIME> read day and night, on the bus, at work, before bed, watching TV, and before u get into bed with that girl u picked up at the bar ( @everclese can show u how that's done, lol)

But u gotta know what ur putting into your body. Have a GP and do blood work so u have a base line. Be committed. Have a training partner. And finally eat lots of chicken!

Welcome to the family bro!

SickPleasures's picture

hahaha thanks man. Yes I'm definitely anxious to do it but i agree i should read as much as possible till i feel confident enough to move forward. ill look into getting some blood work done to see where Im at, Already got a work out partner who is actually not new to AAS. So thats an advantage.

Thanks a lot!!!

Sick: you have already gotten some very good advice from some very knowledgeable people. I would definitely recommend getting blood work done. Your baseline test readings are going to give you a better ability to decide what is right for you. At 29 you may well still have very good test readings. If you are in the high normal range I would not consider a cycle at this time because eating right and working hard will give you nice easy gains. However, if it comes in low a trt type cycle could very well help you on your way. TRT doesn't have to be for life if you run it just like a cycle. This what I am currently doing. I have low test but at 46. I haven't given up all hope yet on my natural test so I am a month into a low test cycle and will go 10 weeks followed by pct and more blood tests to see how my natural test responds. I too have higher body fat than would normally be recommended for a cycle but no one will argue that if you combine low test with high body fat a trt cycle will help you get control of that. I can attest that working 6 months without any gains is demoralizing and getting that boost of test and seeing results is very motivating. I have loved going to the gym this past month. I want you to remember that not all estrogen is bad. Your body needs a certain amount to keep your joints in good health and on a low dose you likely won't need any AI at all but will need pct. I am on 250 per week test and have not had any negative sides of estrogen. Get that blood test - labcorp is cheap and fast. If you do cycle trt or otherwise please get your pct plan in place and all your products purchased. I don't know what came in your package so you should post it and let the Brothers critique it. Good luck Bro!

SickPleasures's picture

thank you so much ! very informative and helful. i will get some blood work to see where i am at and post em . aswell as the gear i get. thanks again
