Adelaide Powerlifter, First cycle

ad

I'm 26/M, 103kg ~18% BF looking to start my first cycle this November. Cycle is as follows:

Weeks 1-12 Test E @ 500mg p/w (considering 2x 250mg instead of 1x 500mg, but not sure if that's a good idea given the longer Esters of Enanthate ?)
Weeks 1-14 HCG @ 250iu 2x a week
Weeks 1-12 Arimidex .25mg every 2nd day (may need .5mg per day)
Weeks 14-16 Novladex 40mg every day, Clomid 100mg everyday
Weeks 16-18 Novladex 20mg everyday, Clomid 50mg everyday

I'm recovering from bursitis, but here are my PRs:

Current PRs:
Squat: 85kg x 8
Deadlift: 95kg x 7
Bench: 75kg x 8 (untested since April)
OHP: 50kg x 8 (untested since April)

Diet:

On Cycle:
4,500 cals per day (~260-300g Protein) 75/25 Carb/Fat split for the balance of calories.

During PCT:
4,000 cals

Program:

5/3/1 + Boring But Big

Please critique.

How long have you been training for if you don't mind me asking?

Are you following a powerlifting routine at the moment and will you be doing so during the cycle?

Where's the bursitis and what treatment have you had if any for it, how is the recovery from it coming along?

Do you have a strength, weight or other goal in mind from the cycle.

Been training for 2 years. I'm following 531 by Jim Wendler. Bursitis is in my right shoulder and I've had 2x cortisol injections + on going physio. I'm back to light (50% of 1rm) pressing. Should be 100% by the end of September.

My goal is to increase all my main lifts by 25kg.

Test will reduce your collagen synthesis so running that after bursitis might bring it back.

I normally never recommend a second compound for a first cycle but in your case I would consider anavar due to the increased collagen synthesis. Deca would be better but as a first cycle it's pushing it. 50mg a day week 1-8

Never take Winstrol if you have tendon issues, it will reduce collagen cross linking integrity.

This will make you stronger so it's completely possible that you'll have a reoccurrence of the problem.

Thanks for the advice! I might push my cycle out to Jan next year, that way I'll have (or should have) a good 3 months for my shoulder to be 100% free of bursitis

Bursitis can be really painfull and worse still it gets in the way of your training!!

I had it once and was very lucky that a shot of cortisone cured it quickly, I've had no flare ups since but changed my routine to reduce movements that aggravated it. In your situation that's almost impossible as you have a fixed range of lifts.

I hope it recovers quickly for you!! Keep us posted on your progress :-)

I agree with Uncle Z the only thing I might consider here would be throw in a day of cardio as bad ad I hate it I find it very beneficial while on cycle in helping control water and blood pressure. One more quick note I would definitely up your protein intake to a minimum of 400 grams a day at your weight!! Looking good brother nice job doing research!!!

Nolvadex at 40 mg for 3 weeks is quite high.

Thanks for the advice. How much bf do you recommend i get down to before starting my cycle? I could probably drop to 14-15% body fat pretty easily in 1 month.
