Permanent Shutdown: Truth or Myth?

I'm no where near educated enough in this game so that's why I'm asking.
From all the posts/forums I read, I keep getting mixed info on the whole shutdown idea.
While many say don't worry everything will be back to normal eventually, there others that say you will be fucked forever...
So what's the deal here?

permanent shutdown = castration
steroids cause severe suppression, but I wouldn't say to the point of castration. With the exception of MENT
i would categorize permanent shut down as a level that never returns to or near normal and would require trt to get back to a normal level. permanent is a strong word but you can do enough damage to never recover properly, based on bad pct, to much pct, length of run, and or gear you ran.
Depends on what you run, how long and PCT measures
MilKmAnLets say 500mg week for 10 weeks and standard pct
That would be a standard cycle and as long as your pct was good, then you will be ok. But for example if you ran dbol only for 8weeks as some retards do, with little to no pct then your gna be shut down during the cycle and likely a long time after cycle.
As long as you do your research and you know exactly what your doing with PCT and have everything planned, backed with lots of research then you'll be ok
