It's been 3 years from my last cycle, NOW I have test levels at 158. How to repair ?
Hey guys,
I'm coming here to seek some valuable advice. I did a total of 3 cycles in my life (back in the days when my physique was my main priority in life), being the last one about little over 3 years ago, with proper PCT (HCG, Nolvadex, Arimidex, Clomid, Vit E, etc). Never had any problems from there until now. Lately I've been experiencing some strong anxiety and foggy thoughts along with tiredness and also gained some belly fat at the same time I noticed my strength go down being really hard to make muscles. The anxiety was so strong that I had to seek medical evaluation about this; simply couldn't stand this feeling as when you're anxious you can't function and it's seriously not fun. When I went to my doctor, I told him about doing steroids in the past and he decided do order some testosterone tests along with the regular blood work. He called me right on the next day for an earlier appointment when I was told that my Test level is at 158 where the minimum would be 300 and normal range about 600. He gave me two options, the TRT which I wanna avoid at all possible cost and the "Natural" way of making my test levels to come up again. I am now scheduled to go see my doctor next Tuesday by May 26th 2015 and I need some advice from the experienced guys here when it comes to restore the natural test production. Should I go ahead now and do a strong PCT even though it's been more than 3 years from my last cycle? if Yes how this PCT would look like ? Thank you so much for this help. I really need some light here.

hi Justanotherguy, thanks for your opinion. Let me ask you, don't you think HCG now would kick up my test levels? or should I run just Clomid ? and what dosage would you recommend ?
HcG would raise your production in the short term. It is a LH/FSH simulator, meaning the body will recognize it as that, and your pituitary will cease production of your own natural LH and FSH ( both are necessary in signaling your testes to function). I personally would not go above 1000iu a week for 3 weeks, during the last three weeks of a cycle to get my testes going again. See what your doctor reccomends first, worst cast scenario you're depenent on TRT for life
Hi Whitetrash, I don't remember details the PCT I did on my last cycle (it's been more than 3 yrs already), but I did HCG 250iu/day for 30 days along with 2000iu of Vitamin E, Clomid 100/100/50/50, Nolvadex 20mg/day, it's weird the fact that I never had any problems after that, never checked my test levels after but my sexual life was just normal, my performance at the gym was just ok and I was feeling normal until few weeks ago when I stated having anxiety and those things I mentioned before, to now know that my level is at 158. Isn't weird that only now my test dropped ? because if it was low all of this time I'd have these problems before.... not just now.
Yes its strange that it came on all of a sudden if you had recovered well from the cycle. The hcg you ran was probably a little higher than I would go with. We typically see 250iu e3d as opposed to ed. Too much hcg can cause problems but that dose doesn't seem crazy by any means and as you said you think you recovered ok. Your clomid and nolva were ok too. I'd probably have ran the nolva 40/40/20/20 but I don't think that's the problem here.
It could be unrelated, to aas. Lots of men that never ran aas have low t and require replacement therapy. See what the doc recommends. Did something happen a few weeks ago that might be a contributing factor? Anything stressful or causing you to feel depressed?
I'm gonna have to agree with epic, after three years your body is where it wants to be, not much is gonna change. You have a few options
1) TRT which is pretty much for life
2) try a pct soaring schedule, however do not use HCG during pct. Only before. Clomid has been proven to stimulate testosterone production. Will it stay after pct Is stopped? No clue, you'll have to get bloods and hope for the best.
Those are pretty much your options, unless you can live with how you are now. I have heard of triptorelin, a peptide (GNRH) which can potentially restart testicle function, however there is only one study for that.
This is one of the risks we take when using AAS. For any younger guy reading this, is is a real life example of what can happen. Aas is not a joke. Best of luck brother, hope for the best.

When you say you did a proper pct after your last cycle what do you mean specifically, could you lay it out for us? If you're meeting the doctor again next week anyway you might be better to wait until after that meeting before committing to a particular course of action.
but if I start TRT, this is something I'd have to do for the rest of my life right? I'm afraid the trt will supress even more my natural test production, making me completely dependent on it. It's scary! I was hoping maybe the HCG would making my levels to go up again as one option.
AnonAt your current level you are technically already dependant on it. You probably have been for some time now and just didn't know why you felt the way you feel. Three years is a very long time and to have test levels come back at 181 means a 60 year old is likely producing more natural test than you... Picture that. Now if you choose to medicate it by exogenous means great, if not you will continue to feel the way you do.
AnonI'd go with trt and not waste any time or money trying alternatives. Sorry to break it to you but after 3 years I am confident in saying your levels are balanced out and your body is at homeostasis it won't jump up another 400 points naturally and stay there... Just my input. Best of luck
