Shot of test into my quad and now in major pain. Please help!!
Please help me out here fellas, started a cycle yesterday, maybe my 7th over the years. So took shot of deca to my shoulder and a shot of test (cyip) to my outer quad. Nothing new! I always used both those sites to inject and also use my butt, but I've always felt that quad, cause of the constant movement it got into my body faster. Could be all in my head but just a personal thing. So as far as the shot to my shoulder went flawless, can't even tell or feel I shot anything in there. BUT ON THE OTHER HAND my quad, Agter I poked it into my skin I was pushing the plunger down and it was like there was a blackage. So I took it out my leg, played with it to make sure nothing was blocking, got all the air bubbles out and re injected, again very hard to press the plunger down, but I just kept pressing and took about 40 seconds to get it all in. Well right away I knew it was gonna be one of those painfull ones tat takes 2 days or so to go away but nothing crazy, we all have had those. So right after I went to the gym worked out, did the treadmill for 45 mins kept the leg moving. Well by the end of the night on couldnt bend my leg or even walk on it. So I put some ice on it before bed. Well I woke up and was in so much pain it's really unreal!! Never have I had anything like this. So like i said in the past i have had somewhat painful shots but nothing like this!!! So today i had to call out of work and i have been iceing then changing to a heating pad, takin anti inflammatories. In the past if i had a some what painfull area that i could feel some swelling I would rub the spot to move it around and try and help the oil absorbe into my body. WELL this time there is ABSOLUTELY no way I can rub this!! EVEN JUST TOUCHING IT KILLS! So rubbing at all or even bending it or walking are all oit the questuon!! It's unreal the pain. It's a hard ball not to big maybe the size of a quater, it's not hot or red. So I don't think it's infected or a cyst,I just have never been in this kind of pain. And yes all gear was clean, and the alcohol dryer for awhile before i went in and didnt use alot of it. So please PLEASE anyone if they know what this could be and anyways to treat it or help with the pain ANYTHING AT ALL I would.really appreciate it!! Thank so much in advance for anything at all!

Something like this happened to me over a week ago. Same thing in the quad. After a couple days it became swolen. I think it had fever in it. I don't know if it was infected or not but I started taking amoxicillin just in case. It could be a number of things. Did you check and make sure there wasn't anything floating in the oil and make sure the compound wasn't starting to crash? It sound exactly like what happened to me. Couldn't hardly walk then it started going down my leg to my knee. It is getting better now though but it still hurts.
May not be much help but it sounds like something that happened to me last week. A 2cc shot (23g 1 1/2") of test-e to outer-mid-upper quad, something I'd done plenty times before. Early next day there was residual soreness and a small deep knot at injection site, all pretty much what you'd expect, right? Later in the day (18+ hours post-injection) the leg began spontaneously "buckling" under me when standing for more than a few minutes. Tenderness migrated from injection site to the knee within next 24 hours at which point any effort to move the leg resulted in extreme, yelping pain. More than that, the leg resisted movement period, it was as though the motor nerves were shut off (likely due to excessive inflammation). Leg swelled considerably (but not grotesquely), especially nearer to the knee. The pain and general dysfunction lasted 5 more days. I'm now left with a painless but slightly swollen leg (it jiggles in a disconcerting way when I shake it). I imagine it will be another few days before it fully resolves.
So WTF happened? At no point did I experience any numbness or tingling. No obvious signs of infection, I didn't have a fever (would've rushed to ER immediately if I did). What I had was a very pissed off leg. It's possible it was a deep hematoma but I would've expected it to remain more localized to injection site. I don't believe it was bad gear because I'd used same stuff a few days earlier without incident. What may have happened is that the test-e leaked its way out from deep muscle and into the surrounding fascia tissues, seriously irritating it. This could explain the slow migration of tenderness that extended only downward from injection site. In retrospect I should've been employing "z-tracking" which is intended to reduce this kind of leakage. I'll likely never inject to my thigh again, it's the butt or bust from now on.
If this is what's happened to you then should expect a few more days where leg is useless. You likely won't fully recover until a full week's time, and probably a few days more. Only therapy was alternating hot/cold, but I now think I should've just used a heating pad 24/7 to help body clear the crap out.
Can't stress this enough, at first sign of fever or numbness/tingling get yourself to the ER pronto like.

You all seem to know your sh/t, so please any help with this is greatly appreciated!!! I'm 38 and my last cycle was when I was 26, so been out the game for over a decade now, been out the gym 6 years cause of a car crash and had a long battle with physical therapy and all type of shit. Anyways I'm great now, gained about 30 lbs of fat thou. I played college football and was always a gym rat. So have a good idea on what I'm doing in the gym and the kitchen and this is my 5th cycle I just started during my life. 1st I did at 21, then 23, 24, and 26 years old. Always had great gains with just a test and deca. 3 of my cycles including this current was with deca, and the test was either sust, or cyipinante. Once I ran eqwipoise(EQ), deca and premobolin and another I did test, deca, and at the end afree novadek post cycle I ran some winstrole.(Sorry I'm sure the spelling is prob way off) But always just found that 2 compounds of test and deca was plenty for me and no reason to add any others.
So anyways just a little summary of my past. Well now I finnaly was cleared to get back into the gym in Jan of 2015, started real light high reps and slowly got back into shape, and now as of June 15th I took my 1st shots of a cycle. Shot deca into my shoulder and test into my outer quad. I do use my glutes also but I always thought the the quads, since they are always constantly being used and flexed that a shot there might have quicker absorption into the body. Totally personal option I think, no clue if it's true. So anyway yesterday the shot to my shoulder went flawless and today can't even feel as if anything even went there. BUT MY QUAD is another story!! I know we all have had those shots that are sore and could last 2/3days and we might even had to do a good amount of massaging or rubbing cuz of feeling a little swelling or a small knot. Well this is not that by any means. When I shot my outer quad about 7 inches up from my knee on the outside portion this time the plunger was very hard to push in with my thumb, so I took it out and played with it to make there wasn't a blockage or air type of block, then I proceeded to get out all the air bubbles and then put it back in my quad but it was still very hard to press, but I just pressed the plunger with thumb as hard as I could and little by little the oil was going in, and after about 40 seconds it was all in. After taking it out like I said I knew was gonna be a little sore the next day so I rubbed it around for a few mins then went right to the gym, and got on the treadmill for about 30 mins to help move it around some more then went on with my back workout. Well as the day went on the soreness got worse and worse and when I'd feel it I noticed a quarter size hard little ball like thing and kept rubbing and massaging it. Well I went to bed, and when I woke up I couldn't even lift my leg to pull it out of bed with out a huge amount of pain. So finnaly got out of bed and couldn't walk. So figured cause it was so stiff I'd take a hot shower to loosen it up, we'll that didn't really anything and also I can't even touch it to do any futher rubbing or anything like that cause it hurts to much. So i called out of work and had to sit home all day iceing for 20 mins then changing over to a heating pad for about 45 to an hour, and kept that up till about 6pm taking hot showers thru out the day with very hot water using a removable shower head and putting it right on my thigh/quad. Now just laying here with just heat and taking anti inflammatories. And i just noticed that to the right of my knee cap on right leg, is swollen! This is totally new. Thats a good 7/8 inches from the site of the injection!! Damn this is crazy! So bending, touching &rubbing and walking are all out the questuon. So besides the fact that If I had to guess this will keep me out the gym for a minimum of a week, I need to get back to work. My gear is all clean, the alcohol had plenty of time to dry after cleaning the area and I doubt it's an infection cause the area isn't red or hot or even look like anything is even there, and I doubt it's a nerve cause I heard and read that you would deffenity feel if you
you hit a nerve in 1 of these three ways. When you 1st pushed thru the skin a sharp pain, if not then would really hurt and maybe even burn while injection is going in, or lastly you would bleed alot if you hit a nerve after removing ur pin, plus it's very rare to hit a nerve, so I didn't feel any of those and didn't even bleed at all. The only reason I felt discomfort when putting it in was so hard to ouch out the oil compound and was in there for awhile, I think... So none of those happened so in don't think it's a nerve and don't think it's anytype of infection plus I don't even think I would know of infection in just 36 hours but I think it would be hot to touch and red by now and in a another day or so realize infection. So rules those out( i think)So I'm begging if anyone knows what this could be, or if they have any ideas on how to treat this so I can at least walk even if it's with a limp. Any ideas at all. This had to have happened to someone else out there, so I'm begging ya fellas please help me out, anything at all and or any ideas at all are greatly appreciated. So thank you in advance for any time spent or any recommendations at all to help me come up with what this can be and any types of treatments

I also was told if it was a nerve besides the pain right away to the point you wouldn't go thru with injecting if you hit a nerve with the pin. AND if I did decide to ignore the pain and just injected anyways it would burn like a bitch that most likely by then I would know from the combo of the pain from pin prick and now start to push in that somethings wrong and take it out and start over. But I felt none of that. Only felt that it was really hard to press in. And last when I took out the syringe there would be a good amount of blood.

Well that's what I was told on another site thats what I'd feel if I hit a nerve and it's very very rare to hit a nerve, but if you wanted to find a person that could hit a nerve, with the lu,k I have I'm the dude that would hit a nerve and feel none of the symtoms and u at keep going and then the rest of the day push that particular applied muscle all day long thinking you are moving the oils around instead I really think I made it a lot worse
Yea I'll never touch my legs again. Ever!! We're you in serious pain also. And really had nothing at the site of the injection? Red or warm etc.... when u 1st put the pin ur leg did u have any pain right away, or even a few minutes after u took it out? How long did yours last? And how long till you could at least walk again. If I can walk I can work and go back to the gym just no legs for awhile...I take it u just did what I'm doing ice and heat and ibuprofen..... do you think it could have been cause by the way it was injected?? It's the 1st and only time that the plunger part of the syringe
Felt like it was so very hard to press down to push the oil in. It took all my strength to inject. Think had something to do with it???

I did dorsal and ventroglutes and now only ventroglutes. Before a show, though, I can rotate around the whole body because I only need to use slin pins. The gear I use is in MCT oil so it will flow through a slin pin.

Slin pins are insulin pins. They are a high gauge pin, usually 30g and up. I use 31g pins to inject. MCT oil is a carrier oil, but it Has a lower viscosity than other oils which are used in AAS constitution, so it flows throw thinner pins much more easily.
Bro, it really sounds like you hit or even cut into a nerve. Not good bro. The body will heal but you are looking at a few weeks. The muscle around the nerve is inflamed pressing against it making it all the worse. You can try seeing an orthopedic surgeon. He'll probably write you a script for prednisone (steroidal anti-inflammatory) which is a good start but I'm going to be blunt here. If it's a nerve, the pain is just not going to subside very fast. If you want to be functional you will have to get your hands on some opioid pain pills. That's the only thing that is going to cut into that kind of pain. I hope you have a doctor who is sympathetic enough to realize this is an acute not chronic condition and he can write a script for narcotics without having his DEA number reviewed in this kind of situation. If your doctor won't prescribe them, the hospital ER docs more than likely will. My recommendation here presupposes you are not addicted to pain pills. OBVIOUSLY, THIS IS THE DOCTORS CALL. I'm only writing this because I have cut into a nerve in an IM injection myself and I remember how it was.

Don't know if you read the part that I said the syringe was very difficult and took all of my strength to push in the oils, could that have anything to do with this, cause that never happened to me before and figured I had a little bit of a bad pin even thou outside my leg it worked fine it was like once injected the pressure was so great I couldn't push but I did with all my thumb had and little by little it all go in. Since that never happened to me and this pain never happened don't you think there can be some correlation between the two almost like I pushed in with so much pressure or something?

I can't and won't take any opioid meds. They put me on them after my car crash and ended up on them for 3 years of oxycodone 30mgs and I stopped clod turkey and went thru living hell and even after all the withdraw it still took my brain like 5/6 month to be normal again, So I'd rather deal with the short term pain the the long term side effects of that poison! But I know that they would work, the meds deffenitly do thier job but wish the Drs. Would have told me what I was getting into. At the time I would have deffenitly taken them right after the crash but soon as the pain was bearable I would have cut them off and would have only ended up on them for about 5 months instead of 3 years. But anyways I really appreciate tell insight I just really hope this is not that. And again I just can't understand that if I hit a nerve of I wouldn't have felt something right away. If you look at the anatomical renderings of the quad muscle group below you will notice that the proximal tendons (attached to the top of the femur) of the Rectus femoris and the distal tendons (attached to the knee) of the Vastus intermedius run up quite a bit away from their point of origin.
If you have injected your quads in the same spot all the time you would have scar tissue buildup that would be very difficult to penetrate with a new injection and that would account for the hard push.
OTOH if you injected where the muscle starts becoming tendon that would account for it as well and poking through a tendon with a needle would be mighty painful as well.
As far as the oils causing this, you would need to have been using a very small gauge needle like a 25 or 27 with gear in a thick conventional oil base like GSO or CSO but that doesn't sound like what you are talking about here bro.
I'll qualify my previous post here. When I had a nerve impingement in my left glute, the muscle didn't spasm the moment the needle touched the nerve. I didn't cut it but I slid past the nerve and the oil got injected close to it. The muscle surrounding the nerve got inflamed and it took about 2 hrs. for me to feel the initial pain then at about 6 hours the pain was moderate and I went to bed and upon awakening I was in such agony just moving the leg had tears coming down my face. The doctor said the swollen muscle tissue was pressing on a nerve that was tied into the sciatic nerve in my glutes. He prescribed prednisone and oxycontin for the excruciating pain.
I'm really sorry you have a problem with pain pills bro. If you have done what I think you might have done, I don't know how you are going to work and even function without narcotics. I also could not get out of bed because of the agony and called an ambulance to put me on a stretcher and take me to the ER for the initial diagnosis.

Just for steroid injections? LMAO No, bro. Prednisone is a corticosteroid (not an anabolic steroid) to provide systemic reduction in inflammation in the entire body.
It took a few weeks for my injury to heal and a lot of narcotics so I could function. The pain was agonizing and as soon as the oxycontin started to wear off, if I didn't get more I would have put a gun to my head to get relief that is how bad mine was.

Hey man thanks so much for the reply!! But no there is no redness, it's not warm to the touch and belive it or not there's no swelling in the injection site just a hard little ball like thing about the size of a quater. and we all have had shots in the past that got sore and you just massage and rub the area to help it absorbe and move it around. But this time the pain is way to severe to even put any pressure on it. I have deffenitly thought about just going to the dr now, even thou its just only over 48 hours, and the only reason i havent is cause they really can only do something with infected shot areas and cysts that form, everything else they kinda just say you gotta let the body absorbe it at its own speed, The body will fix this on ita own. If was ifected they would give antibiotics or a z pac depending on how bad and a cyst they would maybe do surgey if they couldnt suck or "vacuum" it up. I know it's not infections cause its way to early for that, it's not red or warm and cysts also take some time to form about 5/7 days. Ive been in bed all day and I got up about 6 to 8 times to jump in the shower and have a removable shower head turned the heat up almost to the point that I couldn't take it and put the head on pulse and just stood there for about 30 mins each time just letting the hot water hopefully loosen it up. But I noticed about 2 hours ago that I now have some swelling on the top and right side of my knee cap, the bottom of the quad muscle. I shot 7/8 inches up on the outer side of the quad, so for it to have swelling down there is weird. Anyways that's a great idea about warming up the cyip. Never thought of that or heard of it. I've been out of the game for a while. I'm 38 Years old now and the last cycle I did is when I was 26 years old. Started my 1st at 22, then 23,24 and 26 then got in a car crash had almost 3 years of physical therapy and then just kinda felt sorry for myself for.way to long. So I started the gym back in the start of 2015 and little by little worked my way to have full mobility back and little by little strength is coming. So was all excited to start this cycle 17 months after starting to gym again, and I know that this shot in my leg is gonna knock me out for at least 2 weeks. Fuc-;_g sucks so bad. At this point I'm just looking for any treatments that can push my recovery time quicker and just ease some of this pain.

It could also be that your muscle isn't used to injection if it's been a while, my first pin the pip was like holy shit how am I going to work and take gear haha oh and if you have any vicodine pop that shit for a couple days if not then ibuprofen good luck bro

And lastly, when you warm ur test in hot water how warm do u make it, and also I'm sure it goes in just like butter so smooth! But after it cools inside the muscles after it's injected does it ever ball up or anything like that? Have u ever had painfull experience at all agter u warmed it?? Again sounds awasome and sucks I have to wait 3 more days to try it!
