ad
Hey guys i need some help please asap. I injected my rear tricep head 2 days ago (the head nearest to my lat). And this evening I noticed the swelling turned into a large hard bump and at the top of the bump its soft to the touch. This was my first time injecting that head of my tricep and my left arm is the side with the problem, my right side is sore but it didnt have the reaction that my left arm did. Please help me ASAP because if it is in fact an infection I need to go to the doctors first thing tomorrow.
Thank you

I'm going to +1 this posting, not only for helping to hijack your posting taking it slightly off topic, but for you also posting a topic that has helped to enlighten MANY of us members on certain issues, and for taking everyone's advice and you did indeed get yourself treated by your medical providers.
AND THIS IS WHY EVERYONE MAKES EROIDS SUCH A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE FOR EVERYONE.
The ability to enlighten and inform each other with our own knowledge about a certain topic/s and to be able to help each other learn something new from everyone's comments that some of us didn't know about, I'd also like to think NO-ONE has taken ANY offense from anyone elses remarks and/or comments, because I'm sure none was intended by anyone either.
THANK YOU ALL FOR THE LESSONS TODAY. You're ALL, AWESOME.
Thank you bro. I appreciate the quick replies and all the knowledge and support from the eroids community.
Thanks everybody they prescribed me 2 different antibiotics. I'm going to stick to my usual spots from now on.
get to the emergency room my friend catch it now when its early, before it does more damage. there is no reason to wait it is hot to the touch also soft you, i and all the others agree its in infection. i do not know about you but id rather be safe then sorry.
After viewing your uploaded pic, whatever else you're doing now, STOP. Get yourself to the ER, Mate.
AND DO YOURSELF AN EVEN BIGGER FAVOR, THAT MANY OTHERS DON'T. DO NOT TRY TO LIE TO THEM ABOUT WHAT YOU'VE PINNED UP WITH. YOU'LL ONLY BE HARMING YOURSELF EVEN MORE
Tell them the truth so they can address your issue as it needs to addressed.

Yes.
Go ahead and take the advice of the other members below, that it's best for you to lie to your doctor now, to save you in the future.
That way you medical team can then treat you for something you don't have, instead of giving you the treatment you need now in order to prevent any further infection/damage that you have NOW.
S.M.H.
Bro, an infection from an IM injection of bacteria ridden B-12 is not going to be treated any differently than in infection from an IM injection of some steroid compound. It will have no impact on the treatment he gets and a lifelong impact on medical insurance rates, portability, and policy acceptance / availability. A problem with drug or alcohol abuse is a serious matter (maybe not to doctors, but most certainly to the health insurance industry in the US) And, I know this from personal experience.
I guess I'm just old school then, Mate.
My own personal experiences from lying to my doctors, IN THE US I MIGHT ADD, almost cost me my life by not admitting to my own EQ usage.
Just don't want to see ANYONE, NO MATTER WHO THEY ARE, get any lesser treatment than they need and/or suffer anymore for an issue than they already are.
If you are in the US do not tell them you injected steroids into your arm! It will follow you forever!
It's difficult for bros in other countries with nicely working national health systems to understand how screwed up the situation is in the US. It must be nice to be able to go to a doctor and confide everything in him with no fear of consequences.
yes i agree with the point, but! we are dealing with ugls, " drug dealers" telling a dr the truth my save your life or your limb, who knows what caused it? septic, blood poisoning , staph, cellulitis, circulation cut off, abcess even gangrene are possible, even death, some off these are becoming resiliant toward anti biotics now, who knows if it was some kind off micro organism or bacteria\ poison that doesnt respond to treatment? then drs are scratching heads a week later when your on your death bed, i think thats more important than insurance and records, it can be life or death, ( no offence).
Bro, I understand your point entirely. Telling them it was steroids is not gonna solve the problem. I dunno, maybe if he brought the bottle with him to the ER, they could culture the contents, maybe, maybe. They will use at least one broad spectrum antibiotic in any case and probably not even culture any puss at the site of infection. If he doesn't respond to the antibiotics, that's when they start with the "petri dishes" and the infectious disease folk may get involved. Everything you are saying is true and is true of anything he might have injected. A confession of steroid use just isn't going to buy anything here. If he said is was B-12 and the ER folks didn't ask for the bottle then they don't need it.
true, thats what i meant, taking bottle with you, it maybe contaminated with lets say lead, lead poisoning will be treated differently, anyway, this is from improper injection so getting off topic, it would be case by case basis.
It is reassuring to have such a system, yes. But it doesn't come for free. Many countries and their respective residents believe that the UK's National Health Service, (NHS), is a fantastic service that is provided by the UK government and/or our Queen, free of charge/s. When in fact EVERY working UK citizen pays for the NHS, usually about 12-15% of their weekly wage with it being deducted from their wage packets, as well as their normal 25+% taxes every week taken out too. So we get what we pay for. (Or I GOT what I USED to pay for).
It also helps that the UK has the Data Protection act too. It prevents ALL collected information being shared without the individual giving their consent to do so.
Living here in the US now, is definitely an eye opener to the information that is readily available on anyone. A simple background search on any White Pages website on ANYONE reveals 90+% of what you MAY need/want to know about a US citizen. And all you need is the persons Christian and Surname.
Now THAT, in itself IS concerning.
I agree.. Its not like it was 10 yrs ago when your medical files went to the basement to be filed.everything goes into a database which is instant access these days.
YOU GOT THAT RIGHT BRO. I KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. DO NOT DISCLOSE STEROID USE IN THE US. PERIOD. IT IS NOT A PREEXISTING CONDITION WHATSOEVER.
No it won't. Obamacare says we can't be denied coverage for preexisting conditions. Tell them exactly what happened
LOL, then you go ahead and be honest with them. Let us know how it turns out.
RustyhookerNot true at all
https://www.healthcare.gov/how-does-the-health-care-law-protect-me/
Yeah it is. Read the law. That was one if the biggest perks of the law no more denial of preexisting conditions
Bro, the use of not even the abuse of - even forget the UGL stuff - prescription meds such as Deca-Durabolin without a script is not a "pre-existing" condition . . .
WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!
DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS^^^^
ITS NOT ABOUT BEING 'DENIED COVERGE'
its about having steroids use on your medical record which may hinder him in other things later in life
SAY IT WAS B12 OR SOMETHING
How can it hinder him later in life? They are confidential records.
B12 is better to say though but I prefer to tell the truth
RustyhookerIt is NOT confidential to insurance carriers. You WILL be denied as high risk drug abuser.
Why is this FACT so difficult for folk to accept about the US insurance system. They just don't want to believe it's true? Too screwed up to grasp the concept even?
https://www.healthcare.gov/how-does-the-health-care-law-protect-me/
doctor will think twice in giving him something due to his previous steroid use, which may be confidential to some but is not to medical personnel who request info.
Along the same lines of Narcotics. If one has a history of abuse and it shows in record a doc will think twice prescribing narcotics, even if patient truly needs it
They'll still give him antibiotics and pain killers. They'll treat him regardless. They won't not give him pain killers because unless he's using that too, nothing will show up to indicate he abuses narcotics. They'll treat him regardless.
thats not what we are saying! of course they wont turn him away from ER!!!!
but in his medical record all information, including use of ILLEGAL, cant stress that enough, ILLEGAL steroids will be documented and made available to any and all further medical professionsals seeking medical history
You may be right, if he is TRT and LEGIT(i say that strictly bc we all know its pretty loosly perscribed in some states) perscribed test then he could in theory tell them
but thats alot of "ifs"
Agree 100%, b12 is a great idea. There is no reason to tell them anything about roids and its not like there is an anti-steroid serum they can give you, procedure will be they same regardless... drain the infection and antibiotics.
waltrx2
go to the nearest hospitol emergency room...like right now...
Yes it's red and very warm, It's like half a baseball, and the top of the bump is soft to the touch
I always thought ASAP meant (as soon as possible) guess the op decided a bowl of cheerios was more important
Need to post pics up
Picture posted
Agreed
Is it red? Warm to the touch?
