+ 1 Insulin Pin, IU Math for HCG
I received my insulin pins...didn't realize they were 1ml, 40 unit syringes. So I broke out the excel sheet to do the math for measuring my HCG and just wanted to run it by you guys to make sure i'm not dumb lol. So I'm mixing 5,000IU of HCG with 5ML of Bac, to get a solution concentration that is 1,000IU/ML. Since my slin pin syringe is 1ML and broken out into 40 units, each unit on the slin pin equals 25 IUs (1,000/40=25). Therefore to get 250IU's, i would need 10 units/tick on the slin pin... I think that's correct, just wanted to make sure. Also these slin pins are 8mm (1/3 ") in length. I didn't even know they came in anything less than 1/2 inch. I found that other people on other sites have been using this pin lenght for HCG, but again wanted to get peoples take on that as well. thanks!

Thats accurate but store them max 30 days with bac water in freezer and i think it was max 1 week with sodium water.

You have the math right. 5000IU / 5ml - 1000IU/ml. 1ml = 40 ticks. Therefor 1000IU = 40 ticks. 1000IU / 4 = 250IU. 40 ticks / 4 = 10 ticks.
250IU = 10 ticks.
You can back fill a TON of slin pins and freeze all but two (a week's worth for most people). I have pharma grade HCG and the user pamphlet that comes with it says you can freeze them for up to 6 months without any loss of potency. Once you use the last of the two in the fridge, move two from the freezer to the fridge to replace them. In 3.5 days, they will be fully thawed and ready to go. 1 minute between the fingers is enough to bring them up to room temp.
That is spot on accurate. I was at an international urology conference for work last weekend and met a rep for a pharmaceutical company that specializes in male fertility and I absolutely picked his brain clean and he actually recommend this method. He had pharma vials of hcg, hgh, ghrp-2, ghrp-6, and fsh at his booth. I probably talked to him for an hour about it. Haha by the end of it he was shocked that I was a urologist or pharmacist because of how familiar I was with the compounds. One of the vials of hcg he had was 50,000 iu in a 5 ml amp. Imagine trying to measure that out in slin pins!!!
Thanks for the tip. I knew it only has a 30 day shelf life so that's a good way to not have to waste the hcg... Should hcg always be brought down to room temp before injection? It sounds like it only takes a minute or two to get to room temp anyways.
It does not have to be brought up to room temp. I have injected straight from the fridge before, but it leaves a funny feeling in the injection area, and when you touch that area it will feel cold to the touch. Goes away in a few minutes as the body warms the injected liquid.
If you warm it up first, you feel nothing when injecting (except maybe a slight pinch as you puncture the skin.
I actually try to inject mine immediately after I remove it from the fridge then put it right back in to keep the temp of the hormone in the vial stable
