Day 3 swelling and redness from test 250
ad
3 days ago I took my first shot of test-e 250. Day one was perfectly fine. Day 2 was horrible, I was limping but there was no swelling or redness. Day 3 the pain was much less but now there is swelling and a decent more redness. Today is day 4 and it doesn't hurt nearly as bad but it is still swollen and red. Please help me out here.

GnarkillLol been there don't worry man it will get better and after a few pins your body will get used to it what I learned from this site is warm your gear up before injection it's night and day in pip (post injection pain) your welcome for telling you this now I didn't know this for a long time and I run a jackhammer all day and trying to walk normal was gut wrenching lol. here is a link to a picture. ignore birthmarks and look at just the redness

Your pic looks like cellulitis, but I also did shot of test prop that gave me same red rash so hard to tell. Again, if you have a fever and the redness gets bigger or symptoms get worse, go to doc and get antibiotics. The time I got cellulitis, I was already 3 or 4 pins into the bottle and I forgot to wipe top of vial, so I was pretty sure I had it. I now use separate pin for injection and clean/sterilize like I'm performing surgery.
I've had the pain, redness and swelling from both bad injection/pip and cellulitis. The difference between the two was the presence of a fever. With cellulitis, the redness will stay and increase in size with swelling remaining, plus you will probably have a fever or fever-like symptoms. This will be evident 3-4 days after shot. If you have fever with redness go to doctor asap. They will give you antibiotics to wipe it out. That's what I had to do. It sucked and was a little embarrassing but you have to do it. If you don't have a fever and the redness and swelling is decreasing slowly , it is just from the injection and you will be fine in a couple of days. Keep an eye on it and go to the doctors if you are unsure.
okay so i have been feeling kind of bad, but i also just got back to a job and school where i have had almost no sleep for the past 5 nights. Today i have been sleeping for most of the day. do you think I should just see tomorrow how i feel?
Yes, there is nothing you can do tonight anyway. My arm was swollen with redness and I had slight fever. I waited about 4 days before going, but I could tell something was wrong. The symptoms of cellulitis and bad injection are similar, but any sign of s fever and go to doc first thing.
Tronfirst shot..probably your body fighting it off as a foreign substance..not use to it...keep your eye on it..fever..pain getting worse..not subsiding..and or swelling getting worse..larger..are the bad signs..possible abscess..willing to bet it being your first shot of test that its just your body not being use to it.
RustyhookerPin size? Location? Technique? Cc amount?
Guys below have ya on redness.
pin size 25g, upper left glute ( i have a 2nd year nursing student helping me they have done 1000s of shots) 1cc. technique- I'm not sure. The redness I'd say its spread about the size of my palm.
If the pain is subsiding after 72 hours it is likely simple PIP from crystallization of hormone in muscle. This is the case 95% of the time, however infections and abscesses are a big deal so do keep an eye on it and have it checked out sooner rather than later if you feel necessary. No one here can tell you for sure if what you have is worrisome ...all I will say is 100% of my 3, 4, and solometines 5 day pain amd redness/swelling have gone away on their own... after I worried myself of course.
Again, abscesses and infections are rare, but are very serious and can happen......keep close eye and dont hesitate to go in of needed.
okay thank you, the person helping me pin is a nurse and we went through all of the precautions. I think it may just be my first time and the fact that I really pushed hard in my leg workout 1 hour after.
Red and swollen, is it hot to the touch? Is the redness and swelling expanding? I'd be getting to a doc asap if so.
so it's warm and kind of looks like a mild sunburn. But the pain is Almost non existant. This was my first shot ever also
Sounds like it could be the makings of an abcess to me. Not something you want to mess around with. Before doing another shot, I would make darn sure it is not an abcess. Circle the swollen red area with a marker, if getting bigger you definitely want to get to a doc and get some antibiotics.
Okay thank you very much. I work nights and may have slept on it so that's why it's very red. It's already going down. I will definitely do your recommendation. Thank you
