Accutane power? and permanant supression of subaceous gland.

ad

I've done a test-p only cycle some months ago.
Went good, gained well.

However, acne as been a real worry and made me stop my cycle earlier than I planned to...

My next cycle, is going to be heavily androgenic. and I expect to have severe acne if I do nothing...

I plan on using accutane as needed, 10mg EOD if not enough 20mg/eod if not enough 20mg/day if not enough zydex accutane sucks XD

However, I will be cruising after that cycle at 200mg test-e/ week.(I expect small acne from that dose...)

And I was wondering.

Does 20mg/EOD for 14 weeks would be enough to have a permanent effect on the sebaceous gland???

By permanent I mean enough to be acne free at 200mg/week...??

Thanks

please tell me if zydex accutane is any good i fucking hate acne

taisetsuna's picture

i have used zydex accutane and still have unused bottle lying around. The stuff works to a degree.

I also have legit pharmaceutical accutane and there's a difference to the zydex stuff.

With the zydex stuff the skin certainly was better and almost spotless. Yes almost it didn't work as pharma stuff.
With real pharm stuff there were 0 acne issues.
Dosage was the same.

Why is that? I'm not entirely sure since I didn't let them get tested. But there was certainly some accutane-ingredient in the zydex stuff.

Big difference between zydex and pharm grade stuff is the state of the pill.
Pharm grade stuff is an oily substance in soft gelatine capusle which is not water solube. If you open it up you will find a very thick oily/chewing gum style substance.

Zydex stuff is water soluble "standard" pill. If you open it up you will find a sand like substance.

I guess this probably also explains the difference in efficacy.

Edit: I can get away with 10mg eod of real pharm grade accutane while 20mg zydex every-36-hours didnt keep me clear.

thanks for the reply i have just ordered some planning on 40mg a day as i broke out bad on my face on my chin need something to clear it up and to get an appointment with the dermatoligist takes far too long

Acutane is no joke and you can have serious health issues on it. You need monthly bloods to see where your liver values are.
It's not something to take because you broke out on cycle.

Jacko1994's picture

if i go to doctors all they will do is give me some bullshit cream which will just make shit worse i want the real deal

irongame427's picture

Most doctors yes, but if you find an intellegent doctor they will skip all the bullshit and put you on accutane assuming your acne is bad enough. From day one of seeing my derm he wanted me on accutane, I was scared becuause of all this shit people say about it which is entirely unture, The drugs been on the american market since 1982 i believe, if it was dangerous it would not have made it 33 years, plain and simple, especailly since its a cosmetic drug. I can see them keeping something around that has potentially serious sides for life threatening conditions but not for acne. Creams dont work, i tried all three topical retinoids, they absolutely ruined my skin, i came in with moderate acne and after a year on creams i had severe acne, never used steroids in my life at that point. If antibiotics actually work for you the minute you stop taking them your body will start producing the bacteria again and the acne will come right back, or the bacteria become resistant to the antiboitics and the acne will come right back, which ever comes first.

Now youre 22. You shouldnt be using steroids. If you want to get your acne under control go see a derm, do the bloodwork, I did my bloods and had my script the next day, its not a long process. Now nothings permenant, especially if youre using steroids. A non steroid user could run accutane for 6-8 months and never see more then a few pimples in his life again. A steroid user life myself thats not the case, I was clear until i started my next cycle, Just a few bumps here and there, but then it gets worse. Nothing like before when i had it all over my chest back shoulders neck and face, but enough to be noticable and its a viscous cycle of use steroids, then need some accutane, rinse and repeat it fucking sucks.

So if you have just mid acne, you dont need accutane, if steroids are causing moderate to severe acne, stop taking fucking steroids, youre 22 years old, you can easily do permenant damage to you HPTA, if you even know what that means. Id run your accutane supervised by a doctor if it actualy is severe, and then at 25 if you still have no build the physque your after consider cycling. But in 3 years you can make huge fucking gains. ANd they actually stick because they were made naturally.

I just read your profile, you have already been cycling and your only 165lbs? WTF man, learn some patience, work ethic, disipline and dedication and build a fucking foundation before you ever attempt to use gear. At 5'9 you should be able to hit 190 naturally in pretty damn good condition. NATURALLY. If you need help with diet or training shoot me a pm, or go to the diet clinic in the general talk section. Cause at 165lbs you either just started training, if you have no idea how to eat or train, either way you have no business using steroids.

thanks for the reply mate i appreciate your advice.

Again, it's your health. You're 22 and on juice. Maybe you need to reevaluate your priorities.

Jacko1994's picture

i know its not a joke but im desperate as its affecting my confidence

vhman's picture

Temporary confidence or serious health issues.... It's you're life, but there are tons of options for solving aas induced acne, before turning to accutane.

I just finished a 6 month course prescribed by my doctor. month 1 40mgs 2 80 3 120 and 4-6 160mgs per day. It worked like a charm. The side effects are really overhyped with this drug but everyone does react different. The only sides I had was dry skin and chapped lips that were easily controllable. no real difference in sides from 40mgs to 160. Accutane is much more harsh on ones lipid profile compared to the liver. My total cholesterol was 160 when I started and after a month it was 209 with no changes in liver function. You definitely need to run it for atleast 3-6 months to have a semi permeant effect. The dose and length of time you need to use It also depends on the severity of your acne. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I still think the more important question is what are the OP stats goals and cycle history and what this new cycle is.

My next cycle, is going to be heavily androgenic. and I expect to have severe acne if I do nothing...

However, I will be cruising after that cycle at 200mg test-e/ week.(I expect small acne from that dose...)

two things that stand out.

I would use ACCUTANE as a complete last ditch effort.
This is one drug that really acts differently in many individuals.
Some have zero problems...others severe.

vhman's picture

Very true. It should only be used as a last resort and preferably when you're off cycle. Way too much liver stress. Should only be taken when getting regular blood tests and reviewed by a doctor. Great stuff when used properly, but it can be a beast for many folks.

I'm not trying to hijack this thread, but I've been interested in using Accutane, but it scares the hell out of me... It really does. I've seen how that stuff can propagate acne into a worst form. Into big black abscesses. Me I love body building all my life. I never got into it till recently, last few years. the reason... acne. I have acne on my face, back, and chest. I just finished my cycle, and I didn't use a AI this time around. stupid yes I know. Now I have acne on my biceps, forearms, stomach.. pretty everywhere. I drop out of a contest this year because of it. I have an amazing body, but guess what? No one sees it but ME. Would accutane be something I should consider taking to combat my life long struggle with acne. Maybe it's not as bad as I think, maybe it's just a mental thing. Any advice?

I tend to keep Accutane on hand all the time. It's a backup for when I flare up a little. I had really bad acne at 20 and again at 23. Wasn't sure what caused the first (never had any acne before then), but I attribute the second round of acne with PH's. Anyway, I was desperate so I picked up some Accutane and ran it 10 mg ED. Took awhile, but it did begin to clear everything up. This solution wasn't permanent so, the next time around, I bought the 30mg version and ran 30mg-90mg ED (worked my way up). This drastically cleared my skin and worked wonders overall. The biggest issue that I had was dryness. This shit will dry your skin so fucking much. My lips were the first victims and then my eyes...yes, my eyes. After discontinuing use for about two weeks, my eyes went back to normal moisture. My lips took over a month to get back to normal. After all of this testing, I learned that 30 mg, twice a week, is the perfect range for me. I rarely get any acne now. I may get a pimple randomly, but nothing crazy. It's great at doing what it's meant to do but, like Swole said, be very careful. This shit is harsh. My eyes were so dry that I could hardly drive during the day and eye drops had to be reapplied every 15 minutes or so. It was rough
