Severe PIP

ad

Greetings,

I'm running my first cycle (Test E only) and did my 4th injection this morning. So far, I've pinned the vastus lateralis on both sides and the gluteus medius on both sides. Each one has resulted in pain which I can only liken to a severe bruise after being hit hard by a baseball bat (my brothers and I used to battle a lot)!

The pain doesn't show up until about 6-8 hours after injection, peaks around 12-16 hours and gradually subsides until it finally disappears about 30-36 hours later. That leaves me basically hobbling around my house for a full day afterward. The pain in the quads has been somewhat worse than the ventro-glutes, but surely this isn't normal?

My initial thoughts are that I'm using too thin of a needle (27g) because it has been an absolute bitch injecting. It takes 1min+ to inject 1mL of TestE oil through these needles and I'm having to apply almost the full force of my thumb to even get it to flow properly. Not sure if this could be a cause but everything else seems to be going quite smoothly and the other reviewers of this particular source all remark about the oils being of excellent quality and without PIP.

What are your thoughts and suggestions? Thanks.

The issue with using a 27g needle is grapeseed or cottonseed oil has a high viscosity. This makes injecting through smaller needles very difficult. I use a 25g and I still have to exert a fair amount of pressure to push the contents through the syringe. I'm sure your hand is shaking as you're injecting which is causing the needle to move. This causes unnecessary muscle trauma. I've seen 27g needles snap off while in the muscle. That can be a nightmare. Imagine trying to pick a needle out with tweezers. I've also seen 27g needles detach from the syringe due to the high pressure from pushing the plunger. You'll see the contents of your syringe squirt everywhere. I recommend avoiding 27g needles and switch to a 25g. If you're determined to use a 27g needle, you can put a loaded syringe in a cup of hot water for several minutes. This will improve viscosity. Have the plunger pulled all the way back when doing this because warmer liquid expands.

Does the oil have any other solvents like EO? That could be irritating. Also I could never tolerate quad injections. Deltoids and triceps have been tried and true for me in regards to efficiency and being painless.

why the hell a 27G? Use a 25 or 26. You could be getting pain because its taking you an hour to inject and you keep moving the needle around in the muscle.

Hi Irish, I use a 30g insulin syringe with my physician for my biweekly trt shots. It helps with being painless and less scar tissue.

You are also injecting much less oil in those bi weekly shots. Are you getting into the muscle with an insulin needle? I never see any that are 1 inch, only 5/8 and below.

I purchased a box of 25g x 1" this morning. Hopefully between that and warming the oil it comes out much more easily.

It’s going to hurt if it’s your first time bro. First time I injected in my quad I was walking around like a pirate for a few days. Warm up your syringe in your hand rubbing your hands together for a few minutes then after injection use a heating pad and warm it up and massage for 20 mins. Use the heat when it gets sore and massage the area. Eventually you’ll get used to it and will be able to pin with lil pip

Try massaging the site immediately after injecting ... that’s always helped for me but like Tron said those virgin muscles .... you’ll build a tolerance eventually.... I’ve seen it all lol.... wait till your muscle twitches with the needle in it lol

Oh i hope you’re not injecting with the same needle u draw with .... that can be the cause of the pain too needle goes dull after injecting the stopper

Drawing w/ 20g, injecting w/ 27g.

What’s the mg? High concentration test will hurt bad too. I went from 259 mg to 350 and it was a world of difference.

Does your hand shake when injecting? That will do it. The longer the needle is in there the worse it gets because you shake more. I use a 25 gage needle. Warm the oil up and I inject after a hot shower. A 25 gage for me I can inject in 15 seconds. A 27 would take me a year.

I'm sure it does because I'm having to apply a considerable amount of downward, axial force with my thumb to get it to flow. That inevitably causes some wobbling but I'm not sure it's more than the average pinner. I should also remark that they are 1.25" needles. Takes forever.

Regarding your other question, this is 250mg/mL test-E oil.
