Needle phobia (newbies)
One thing a long time ago that had me leaning towards orals instead of injections was from having a needle phobia. I recently noticed a couple of my friends that was starting out had this same problem. This was mainly due to the terrible injections I had gotten from nurses at doctors office.
I have no fear of injections at all, I used to hate to receive an injection and couldn't give myself one.
Here are some tips I learned to be helpful:
-Let someone else that has some experience inject you in the buttock. Use the grid method to find the right injection site (its posted on this forum).
-Lie on your stomach and completely RELAXE your muscle. This helps a lot.
-I use a 23g 1.25" needle for the buttock and I don't feel any pain except for a little pip sometimes.
-Make sure you get your needles from a good source (my buddy went to the local co-op store and got needles used for animals, not a good idea) there are plenty of sources on these forums to find needles.
-Use a different needle to pull your gear from the vial into the plunger (I use a lower gauge because its easier and faster) because it dulls the needle when piercing the vial.
-If the gear is thick warm it up under hot water so your hand want be shaking when pushing in the plunger.
Read a tutorial on where and how to give yourself injections, this is basically telling you how to make it painless for anyone who has a needle phobia. This is for newbies so don't nock me on this.
