Will i ever be able to compete
I know it might be hard or almost impossible but a while back i was doing great with my gains and results. Though i never competed but i always wanted to and i was working harder to compete. Built pretty decent physique 202 lbs with 6% BF. but then due to a motorbike accident i was on bed for almost half an year. I could walk after 6 months but my left side never recovered. Well now my body looks dis-proportioned. as my right side has recovered but left side is still weaker and cant put much load on it.
For example i can do 40-50 lbs Dumbbells with right arm but almost 50% strength has decreased on the left side. In addition i can't do exercises involving both sides such as Both arms Military DB presses or Squats. I have to do single arm each time with 50% decreased weight with the left side.

Yes bro you will recover. I lost tons of mass on my left leg afteri had surgery and was in a cast for 6 months. I just severely busted my ass and over the period of 6 months or so of hard training, I was evened out nicely. Good luck bro
Unless you lost range of movement, it will recover. I'd attack this like a beginning lifter that is way stronger on one side over the other. For example...do lifts like benchpress that require you to go light to keep it balanced. Your weak side will be working harder, and will catch up.
A EllisThere is guys with one arm competing. They just go and take care of business. They might have an excuse but they sure do not see a need to use it. Most everything can be done just takes time.
