Workout routines
I have been hitting the gym kind of hard over the past couple of weeks, and I can tell you for sure that it's been pure joy pushing the weights, sweating bullets, and watching those gains get bigger. However, I always do my homework in order to look for some new and challenging workouts that can go beyond what I've already achieved by increasing my gains. This is the reason I wanted to initiate a conversation on workout routines - the bread and butter of any serious lifter's journey.
This is it! Let's get into it. Whether you are on the classic 'Push-Pull' training or on my personal favourite the 'Upper-Lower' split, you might just become dizzy from the multitude of different training splits out there. From bro splits to the complete body workout and everything in between, the variety of options is just endless. So, how would you determine the one that well suits your needs?
Practice makes perfect. For me, I've been trying varied combinations of different splits over the last months, seeking to find the best of creating a hierarchy between hitting every muscle group hard enough and giving them time to recover. At the moment, I'm inclined to the push-pull-legs split, which is a way of dividing the muscle groups into three training days in a week. The first day is for chest, shoulders, and tris, the second for back and bis, and the third for legs. Well, got me my job at the moment. That's not to say, I won't consider other concepts either.
Now, let's talk exercises. It's a no-brainer that most of us are familiar with the mainstays of the gym – bench presses, squats and deadlifts, for example. However, a lot of us overlook those diamonds that hide from view and are greatly overlooked by the general public. I am always on the lookout for new exercises that can help me to target specific muscles and break through plateau, thus I would be happy to know your thoughts on some underrated exercises.
For me, one of the types of exercise that has been really popular recently is the Bulgarian split squat. Dude, I tell you, it's beyond me how much my quads were finishing off from doing that movement! It is like regular squat, but with the additional difficulty of balance and stability. Besides, leg muscles doing all the work makes focus on those ignoring other muscles. If there are any imbalances you might have only one leg can be replicated.
Braids aren't the only ones that I've been experimenting with; I have also been using the cable crossover. I used to believe that it was only for chest, but if you play around with the angles and hand positions, you can reach all these muscles – shoulders, tris, even your core! More than that, it is an ardent way of varying chest from other movements and making your exercise appealing.
Yes, but I still want to keep on experimenting with my workouts. If you have any other way to work your body and muscles, I'm here to listen. From killer abs to a newfangled bench press, even a funny card, I'm ready to try it.
So bros, what's the thing? Let's cook up some nasty puns together and let's discuss and take action together to have the most complete feat in being perfect bodies. Let's not forget the proverb: "iron sharpens iron".
