Newbie looking to make some new friends and get some good advice.

So this is only my second cycle and while I got fairly good results the first time im looking to get some advice to help me maximize my gains as well as preventing any kind of serious damage. A lot of you guys will probably think some of my questions are kinda stupid but from what I've seen there are a lot of guys looking to help newbies like me. If I'm doing 600mg of test e and 400mg of deca per week should I be in the gym everyday? How much lifting is too much? I'm averaging 2 to 3 hours a day right now.

I used to do about 3 hrs at the gym 5 days a week while I was in the service. Two days of cardio and three for push/pulls split a.m and p.m. It's great for endurance I got super ripped and aced my PT tests but for growth an hour is perfect. I always wondered why I wasn't getting huge until I read the Arnold Encyclopedia. I changed my workouts to one hour and focused on specific groups and got plenty of rest between and started ballooning up. This was loooong before I ever touched AAS. I would recommend the book and digesting the training and dieting stickies within this forum. Additionally, what sort of physique are you seeking? Is it a men's classic or are you trying to look like Jay Cutler? It's really about dialing in your training to specific goals. Lastly, if this is only your second cycle drop the Deca. If you aren't growing from just 600mgs of test you're doing things incorrectly. This is the best place to become knowledgeable about BB and PL but you gotta read it up. Best of luck to you and welcome brother.
2-3 hours/d. You need to get off the phone and just lift. compress that into an hour tops.
Seconded ^^^ Maybe an hour and 20 if you want to hit some cardio.
Welcome! It’s been mentioned already but I’d also recommend a max of an hour each session in the gym!
Hi bro
As others have said, too much time in the gym fella. If you’re doing two to three hour sessions in the gym, there’s no intensity in your training. My longest session in the gym, (legs or shoulders), is probably 50 minutes. Need time to grow, especially at your stage.
My advice is instead of seeing how much training you can stand, ask yourself what is the least you can do and still stimulate growth. If you train hard you don't need more than an hour.
It takes energy to recover and remodel tissue. Everything your body does is energy dependent. If you use all your energy training you'll have less to grow with.
The more gear you use, the longer you can train, but that doesn't mean that is the most efficient use of your time. After a point, your diet will determine your gains more than your training.
RustyhookerShouldnt be on a stack at all
2-3 hours in the gym??? Are you socializing?? How long do you break between sets, and exercises, 15 - 20 minutes??? That’s insane, Bro! I’m joking about the breaks, but if you are working hard for 2-3 hours, it’s only a matter of time before you hurt something pretty bad. Your muscles may be able to handle it, but your ligaments and joints are going to take a serious beating. My old ass would be out of commission. I work out hard 45-60 minutes, 6 days per week, break on Sunday, and I’ve been told that’s to much, that I need another break day. How many body parts do you work out per day to be there 2-3 hours? God bless ya, Bro!
I’ve ran what some would consider light, some may think it’d heavy. My physician was impressed the last blood draw I had. Was a gram a week. 1000mg a week. It’s a lot bro, it’s only for vanity. I’m not competing or doing magazine photography. But thank god I had everything else right with diet and nutrition. My physician knows what I do. My bloods always come back best when I’m on cycle. I eat like a fucking angry Mormon. I wouldn’t fuck with them btw. But yeah, it’s a marathon not a sprint. Don’t go so heavy, and don’t fuck with Mormons. I’m sorry, have some personal shit going on. But Mormans do have that magic underwear. It’s worth considering
I need, need you to make a post about the "angry mormon" diet and how to go about obtaining some magic underwear.
Alright, you got my attention about the angry Mormons, LOL! First time hearing about them. I’ve heard about them dirty Gypsies, and crazy Jehovahs Wiitness’, but never about the Angry Mormons
Just like diesel said you only wanna lift 4/5 days out of the week otherwise you will hurt yourself and tear a muscle. I don't know howuch you know but don't be focused on doing the maximum amount of weight possible proper form and proper reps with lighter weight is much better than heavier weight w bad form. And 2 to hours is kinda too long in the gym unless your taking long breaks inbetween sets. You really only need an hour or maybe a little more of weight lifting. If you wanna do something like an hour and half of lifting and hour n half of cardio that's good but 2/3 hours of lifting is either too much lifting or too much time in-between sets
I've been sticking with lighter weights and working on bettering my form. I was natural a few years back and hurt my shoulder so I learned the hard way about that. Thanx for the advice rother I really appreciate it.
While in the gym lifting, muscles are being worked andtorn down on a microscopic level. When you are resting and aren't working out, they are healing/growing/getting stronger. (Along with adequate nutrition of course.) Lifting and being in the gym everyday is counter productive and is a good way to not grow on top of possibly getting injured. You can be in the gym everyday of the week, however, weightlifting should be done 4-5 days max out of the 7 days. The other 2 can be for cardio if you choose to. 4 days of weightlifting is sufficient IMO if you train intensely enough. However it works best given your work/life schedule, but nevertheless, I would highly advise against weight training everyday. Good luck
Understood. Thanx bro I really appreciate the help man and I will definitely take the advice.
Depends but you really need days off just like if you were natural. I don't know your routine but I'm in the gym 5 days a week currently with two rest days. I'm only in the gym usually for an hour or an hour & twenty minutes. Not including cardio.
