Probably 1st when you think about it - You are always going to set off in first, then 2nd and 3rd. Maybe 4th also but 5th and 6th are probably used the least. Although you could say maybe you stay in them the longest if you do a lot of motorway driving.
It depends, for highway I steer towards 3.73 or 3.90. most try and go with 4.10 or 4.11 which is bad because you hit 70mph and you're at 5-6k rpm. Sure off the line you can tear it up, but no top end means most will pass you. rolling starts at 55 you could get away with 3.42 and 3.73. most used gears are 2.73 3.42, and 4.10.

Just keep searching stuff but I can say is start using gear in your late 20’s your natural test and gh starts declining 25-30. Just an opinion take it or leave it.
Look into medial studies with scientific data backing the information.
