+ 2 TRT vs Clomid ….sucks gettin old

ad

Hey fellas so if somebody test is 360 total, 6ng free, and was given clomid 25mg, will the clomid raise the test and keep it there without clomid help when taken off it? ? Or should you say fuck it and go all out with injections and get this thing going. Tired of feeling like a 80 year POS. Thanks for any help or laughter you may provide…..

Edit: I HAVE NEVER INJECTED. But I’m contemplating if clomid isn’t going to keep my test up after it’s removed. Any real world experience would be appreciated.

38 here, low-ish T. Did Clomid myself for a few months. + fenugreek and ashwaganda. Raised my T levels, but I still felt crappy. Got on TRT and have felt tons better and have seen great progress in the gym. (But, TBH, I want to do a cycle, now, too)
Doing injections twice a week becomes an easy routine. I just do it in the morning before I go to the gym - takes 5 minutes. Morning wood has returned, sleep is solid, I’m bulking up and leaning out, more energy, etc. I say go for TRT. Life changer for me.

Update - doc said ditch the clomid. And prescribed me labs and test injections. Wahoo

GNRH, HCG, do another PCT, Boron, herbal supplements, Try that before committing to injecting yourself for the rest of your life.

Natural path doctors can give you stuff better than Clomid, most regular doctors are useless for just about anything

LUG2109's picture

Thanks for the input. I’m actually meeting with doc today. Something gotta give. Ashwanda, fenugreek, and a bunch of other supps been on for a while nkw. Will get bloods back and move onward from here. I agree, don’t wanna be a pin cushion. But if I must, I will move to the dark side.

I was in a similar stance with having lower t and low e2. I decided to go on TRT after trying clomid for a bit.

However, if you are against T injections then Id suggest looking at forums to raise free test

Most all your primary care physicians have a number you need to be below before they’ll help. They don’t care how you feel, you just need to be really low.
Most TRT clinics will treat you and aim for the high end of average, 8-900’s. They are generally very expensive.
I also think the government will start cracking down on TRT and UGL’s. The Democrats goal is to turn all men into eunuchs to better control us. So get TRT while you still can. IMO
Clomid sucks! Learn to pin.

ECinfidel's picture

The government has been"cracking down"on shit for ages. How's that going? There's a meth lab or a crack house every few blocks in some neighborhoods. UGLs aren't going anywhere.

winmag4582001's picture

My PCP cares, but insurance companies don’t. Most all doctors genuinely care, but they have to follow the steps set by insurance companies.
TRT clinics aren’t covered under insurance so they can do as they please while you’re paying for it. Within limits. They can’t prescribe anyone more than the set limits.
The issue I see with TRT clinics is that more and more older men are doing it and younger men are doing it too. That makes for a healthier, stronger and more masculine population. That’s exactly what the liberals DO NOT want. I believe before Biden is out of office that TRT clinics will be regulated out of business and state side UGL’s will be targeted. Just my opinion.

ECinfidel's picture

TRT clinics are covered by insurance. Last time I checked you needed to be a licensed physician to prescribe something to a patient.

winmag4582001's picture

My TRT was not covered by insurance through a “clinic”. Through my PCP it is covered.
How or why United HC does that, I don’t know. Maybe you insurance does. That would be dandy.

ECinfidel's picture

Yeah the problem is that the insurer has leeway as to what they approve. That's how's they make(keep) your money.

LUG2109's picture

Roger that. Loud and clear.

LUG2109's picture

Yes. Healthy as a horse. Full panel. He offered me injections but would need some more blood work done to ‘approve it’ since it’s 360’s, and tech not ‘low’ by medical standards. Even though 6ng free test, and Even though I can’t chop wood, lethargic and could sleep all day. It’s nonsense the hoops…..what do you think Rus???

JakeKO's picture

I would find a new primary right away. I think your numbers would at least qualify you for Androgel. If you go for further testing, find yourself a primary who specializes in sports medicine.

LUG2109's picture

I’ll look into that. Thanks

LUG2109's picture

I chose the clomid and wasn’t given the side effects nor the drop off if I stopped the clomid…almost like what’s the point of taking it if it’s not going to keep it there???! I can read my blood panel, PSA .07, Estro under 15, and everything checks out minus my test.

I LEARNED so much from the platform!

Estradiol show <15
Doctor did not mention anything about it being a concern. He mentioned the free T 6ng being the reason I’m running on fumes.

I concur - I think averages in terms of hormones can’t be umbrellad’

Just tweaking your diet might be all you need to do to bump up free test. I would go this route first instead of possible being a slave to the pin for the rest of your life.

Thanks man. I’m not stressed out other than just feeling like I can sleep all day and weak boners. I eat cleaner than most since I’ve decided to compete next year. I’ll check out his website. Thanks again

The clomid will raise your test levels but most likely your levels will drop when you stop taking clomid. And alot of people get shitty side effects from clomid. But everybody is different so people can't tell you exactly what your body is gonna do. I tried different things to boost it naturally and it didn't do too much. I've already made the choice trt for life, so it all depends on what you think is best for you. And depending on alot of factors in your daily life you might be able to increase it naturally with proper sleep diet excercise viatmin regimens and so on, but if you have already tried all that it might be time to try trt. You have to weigh out factors in the different choices you have.

LUG2109's picture

I was afraid of this response, but appreciate the honesty. Guess it’s TRT for me now. I’m not taking clomid for life, and my doc left out the clomid ‘drop’ possibly happening. Guess I’ll get on the gravy train now since I’ve tried ash, fenu, vitamins galore, and bloods from 2019 to today has dropped off a cliff. Guess too much ‘being young and dumb’ in my early days.

Are you saying you have never injected Testosterone before then and are 41 years young?

LUG2109's picture

I have not ever injected. Yes, 41. Was diagnosed with low T. Given clomid. Amateur bodybuilder my whole life. How do you think one should proceed? And thanks for responding.

My friends all take TRT injections for low T, and since mine is low, is there a good chance my test will fall off a cliff when the Rx clomid is yanked?

Should I just go ahead with the injections since clearly my balls aren’t what they used to be. I’ve never used AAS, but I eat super clean and have studied all you guys and learned a great. I’m a big guy, almost abs showing, but noticed my gains weren’t happening anymore, and my joints were sore. I was also feeling zero Morning wood - that’s when I got checked.

press1's picture

Bud - All I can say is its now time to discover a whole new World pal. How you have not been tempted to taste the Dark side until now I do not know my friend Lol So yes either proper TRT time or Test First cycle time. Are you ideally wanting to get a script for Test? Taking Clomid just to raise natty levels is not going to get you far in terms of gaining muscle I'm afraid.

LUG2109's picture

Once more, thank you again for the responses. This platform is invaluable.

LUG2109's picture

The dark side seems to be a given at this point. I’ll get my ducks in a row. I can’t imagine being bigger/leaner than I am, thats why it was a shock my test was so low. Not tooting horn, but my life has been all weights, iron and steel. I look good, so I’m excited what ‘feeling like a real man would do for me’ LOL

Is there a recommend time OFF clomid (it’s day 9) before I become a lifelong pincushion? Wait a week? I’m going to get my own bloods done, prior to beginning my 150mg/wk test.

Ordering my ducks and handling my business myself. If I’m going to do this, I am going to begin with TRT cruising to get started.

ECinfidel's picture

TRT and cruising are 2 very different things. One is carefully monitored by a doctor. The other requires running your own bloods and carefully monitoring your hormone levels on your own and requires a great deal of knowledge to be done safely and effectively. Proceed w/ caution.

press1's picture

Ideally buddy you need to speak to someone more clued up on TRT than I am - I run gear cycles and cruise on Test, I am sure more people will chime in on what you need to be doing to do it all properly Smile I'm excited for you mate - You'll wonder why you waited so long. I know with myself it became so much harder to gain muscle after the age of 30 as opposed to in my early 20's, then I discovered gear at 34 and I am now past 40.

This is good stuff to hear personal experiences from guys such as yourself. I’ll dig some more research and find out what a good dose amount equates to starting out. Thanks

EDIT: I’m on day 9 of clomid. I want to begin injections next week. Is there ANY surprises I need to know about pertaining to wait period before pinning and dumping CLOMID???

IrishMack's picture

360 is normal, if your doc prescribed clomid it doesnt take a week to start working it takes a couple. If you feel like an old man at 41 with this levels maybe you should get a full blood panel and check everything. Low T could be a thousand things and if you never took chemical test your whole life you can rule that out. 250 and below is bad. 300 and above is considered normal for your age. It's your life and your health do what you want. I'm telling you to do it smart and let the doc do it until it doesn't then he will get you where you need to be not where you think you need to be.

LUG2109's picture

Thanks for the input. Never taken chemical T.
Lifestyle is great. It’s the free Test that’s bad. Was advised I need higher total for the free to bump up. My panel is solid. Eating is top notch. Respectfully, I think guidelines of test is general, and not user specific. What 300 may be for one person as ‘healthy range’ may affect another person differentLy is my take.

I’m going to give what you said some thought. Thanks again

IrishMack's picture

Total test and free co exist to a certain point. Check your e2 level as well. You may benefit from an ai on top of the clomid but check your doc. Exhaust all options before you become a slave to the pin

LUG2109's picture

Rog that. Will do. Thanks again
