+ 1 Supplement or diet?
ad
my question is about not being able to eat as much and when i need to on a bulking cycle. My job don't allow me the time or place to have the food i need to keep up with calorie intake i need so my question is can i supplement with a meal replacement/protein shake? My cycle is first one. With that said if i don't eat enough food will i just be miserable the whole time and or will my gains be little to nothing?

Of course you can use protein powder as a meal replacement I drink a double shake for breakfast nearly every day; however, I would not substitute multiple meals with just protein shakes. To ensure that you are getting all the proper nutrients, our overall diet should be dialed in before.
A ton of Beef/Turkey mince (ground for you Americans), tomato purée, tin tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, herbs, spices and a dash of Lea and Perrins aka the big daddy Worcestershire sauce (do you have that in America?) throw some brown rice or potato in there.. blend that up till it’s warm liquid gold, add it to 3/4 thermos’ and drink that every 2 hours while at work.
I’ve never tried it but let me know how it goes, you can come up with the name.
I never knew the depths of your depravity until now! Lol.
Skip to 6:30 and prepare yourself.

Chicken soup gone wrong.
Wow. Thats all i can say. It definitely works for her
She definitely has managed to build a huge amount of muscle.
We will call that meat cream for the mouth lol. No homo
Definitely requires a no homo
I wasted my first whole year working out not eating right. Didn’t gain anything. When I started eating I gained.
Was talking to a buddy that competes. He said diet/eating healthy is 80% of your results. Like you I had the same issues with my former job. I used to always have beef jerky, dried fruits, nuts, etc with me. Also, since we always had ice water available, that was when I started learning to tolerate a protein drink with ice water. I actually tolerated it well very quickly. It was hard to have a decent lunch, but with these quick and easy snacks I was able to maintain throughout the day. Of course after I got off work, I would have to make of for lost time devouring everything I could.
I think that we have to eat healthy meals instead of taking supplements because eating healthy gives more benefits than supplements.
So youre asking, if you dont eat enough food will you be able to bulk on cycle?
Get your nutrition right before turning to drugs or relying only on supplements. Meal prep food and pack it. I recommend finding meals you can eat cold as it is easier if you do not have a microwave. If you must include a shake then turn to whole food shakes in a blender (banana, pb, oats, milk, etc)
PropheticWookieAnd there is no way to cook food with you and carry it in a container, I think you always have 5-10 minutes for a snack of prepared food?
I remember when I started a new job as a delivery driver, I lost 12lbs my 1st month and half. My wife started packing me deviled eggs, tuna sandwich, oatmeal pies and muscle milk. You need to get those calories in with quick easy to eat foods. A big breakfast certainly helps as well. My go to breakfast was boiled eggs, big bowl of grits and a glass of whole milk.
70 pounds? is that American pounds or Kilos for overseas? If you are 70 pounds i do not think that is normal or maybe you are a girl? The Muscle Milk cookies and cream or strawberry is really good, i put a little hot chocolate in it 2 packs of oatmeal, pour a yogurt in my cup also and take a handful of mixed fruits and throw them in the cup. Not a blender just a big old cup. Mix it and drink. It taste good at least so you can down it even if you do not have much time or you are not that hungry. that is my breakfast suggestion that you can get creative with. the only thing with muscle milk is you have to mix it extra good. I do not use a blender but i do not mind the small chunks of powder protein, it reminds me of cookie doe. Yummz
Blend it (eggs, fruit, veg, protein, supps) and take it with you. Drink it throughout the day when you don't have time for a real meal.
Agree. Shakes are lifesaving.
I can get 1-1.5 k calories per day additionally just by sipping a homemade slow carb gainer with 4 scoops of protein
A slow carb gainer works well. Gainers aren't what they used to be. Back in the day, they were just sugar with a little protein. Now, you can get designer carbs that are low glycemic yet absorb quickly. As long as it doesn't go insane with carb grams per serving, meaning a good balance of carbs to protein, it's a good option.
I remember doing that all the time. I ran a small retail store and worked alone until 4-5 pm most days. Had a fridge in the back. Just toss it in there and drink it when you can. If I wasn't doing that, I'd have to make up a quick shake and gulp it down.
I've been there, bro. A lot of the suggestions here look good. If you can take quick, easy to eat protein foods, great. Maybe you'll need a cooler. Sometimes you gotta just scarf something down quick. You can do the shakes and bars thing, but really, there's nothing like a real meal. I think the key is small, easy to eat mini-meals. If you have to eat 3-4 of these, then so be it.
Prep meals for several days and use zip lock bags ad carry them with you. That’s what I did. I see people getting smoke breaks do you have every right to take a snack break. Meal replacement is good for weight loss not do much weight gain from my experience.

Those stats scream out lack of food sir. You dont need steroids when youre 40lbs underweight.
As a fitness trainer....how xan you NOT have time to eat? A damn sammich between clients? A bowl of oats? These new 20yr old trainers smdh.
PropheticWookieI also doubt that there is no time to eat, I think this is just a drawback, the desire to cook in advance. It's easier to drink protein, but I always find it better to eat normal than supplements and you can always find time
RustyhookerFor me the drinks are suppliments as you describe and yes its quick but i get bloated gassy if its not mainly real foods. Dudes flat lazy imo because i tupperware and drive my truck while eating. Chikn lasts all day and if its boring just a lil dip sauce and gtg
I wonder what type of advice he gives his clientele.
Client: "What types of food and how many calories do I need to eat?"
Xerox0907: "Air, man. It contains all your macros and is great for bulking. You will see 'gainz' for days!"
AnonFood prep and protein shakes. I don't mix my protein shakes I buy the 4 packs of muscle milk with 32grams of protein. I got tired of cleaning blenders and shake cups years ago. Pre-mixed only for me.
Me too plus that MM just taste 90% better then anything we can mix up are selfs
Food prep is the answer. Take an hour or 2 out on your day off and prep food for the next few days. Order groceries and have it delivered, or curb side pick up. Saves you time from not having to go to store. Get a a good size cooler to keep meals and snacks in it. When ever you get a minute or two, stuff your mouth. Rinse and repeat.
PropheticWookiewhen you prepare food in advance - this is the right decision. Allows you to plan your diet well and not be hungry or lack nutrients and there will be less desire to eat some kind of fast food))
4oz chicken breast slice thin on daves bread
Whey shake to wash it down
Tuna out of the can or on daves bread
I can eat chicken and rice cold so can most when the goal is to be bigger and better
Its really the difference between wanting it or being lazy. Goodluck To be 100% honest if you cant eat no juice is gona help unfortunately. You have to find away. My cousin works in an office in the city he would sit in a bathroom stall to get food in. Do what you have to do
AnonAs long as someone isn't in the other stall dropping a smelly duece then sure I could do that.
Yea you gotta get them calories in bro. Wake up super early start eating big breakfast, eat more simpler carbs, if your going to do a shake have really high calorie shakes, do less cardio maybe. Gotta figure a way to force yourself to eat.
Xerox0907Problem is what should i take during day time in work hours
RV63T1) food
2) aas
3 )workout
PropheticWookiestrength and result in simplicity and stability. you are right
Xerox0907Which type of food should i take in a tight schedule?
I have always been in the same boat. My job prevented me from sitting down to a meal when I should. I always depended on protein shakes and bars. If I couldn't find a good, clean, high-protein bar, I'd come up with a quick and easy snack. My main thing was I had to be able to put it down and come back to it 10-15 minutes later. The reason was, I was a retail manager that always worked alone until 4 or 5 pm, most days. That meant if I wanted to eat, I had to stand in the backroom doorway, gulp my shake and wolf down my bar or snack. Hopefully, I could get that done before the next customer came in. And, I believe in customer service, so someone walks into my store, I will greet them within 10 seconds. That experience convinced me about the importance of protein powder and clean protein bars. So, yes, take full advantage of shakes and other supplements. You have no other choice.
Xerox0907Any other quick prepared which can help me coz i do job in a school, where i am not bale to get anything easily
I cant sit on my job either, so I prep packages and carry a little fanny pack. I have dehydrated chicken jerky, ham, steak, and sometimes i switch it up with smoked salmon, herring, sardines. Just because you are on the go all day does not mean you cant improvise.
All that sounds good. Unfortunately, I never had time to eat stuff like that. It was all I could do to gulp a protein shake, but I worked in a busy retail environment. Also, as I mentioned, I would never ignore a customer just so I could drink/eat. That was good customer service, but I paid for it.
Xerox0907Any more easy to carry food items?
no food, no gains. Can't build something from nothing.
I hear Dorian Yates was a breatharian.
PropheticWookieright. I would say not just food, but quality food and diet. And additives are already additional. You must be able to work not only in the hall but also at the table when eating)
Xerox0907Any suggestions for food?
Rice, chicken, broccoli and scrambled egg.... egg whites if you worry about yolksl This is staple bulking food, lots of good carbs, plenty of protein an minerals. Eggs have all the aminos already, but you can supplement with a quick BCAA drink. You can eat it hot, cold, plain, douse in low fat hot sauce (be careful many use butter as a main ingredient), but it is cheap, healthy, and can store a full day in tupper ware. Tired of chicken... take a can of mackerel and open it when ready to eat.. no refrigeration needed. Bonus.... very easy to hit target calories on this plan, cook up a measured amount in the evening or morning and portion out. Make yourself eat on a schedule and you will bulk!
PropheticWookieAs soon as I started planning meals and preparing in advance and counting how many carbohydrates, fats and protein I need. My progress has skyrocketed. I prefer a variety of food sources. Beef, chicken, fish and sea products, usually rice or buckwheat from carbohydrates and of course fats of 40% animals and 60% vegetable. In fats I use coconut oil, butter, egg yolks. And in general, I try to eat a variety of foods so that I don't get nourished.
It's difficult to find food to eat on the run. I always planned my quality meals before/after I worked. If you are able to take a lunch break, you can bring whatever you want. I couldn't do that because I worked alone, and I couldn't leave the store front. I experimented with shakes, I would blend up fruits with my protein, maybe use milk, and add ice. I often had a fridge in the back. That was even easier than making up a shake with water. Just shake it and drink it. If you can eat, you can try a PB&J using sugar-free jelly, natural PB, and protein bread. It tastes better than it might sound, lol.
