+ 4 My First Cycle; Making Sure I am Doing it Right
Hello. I'm a 54yo male. Been on trt for about two years now- test c, 200, .4 twice per week. I also take Anastrozole (.25) twice a week, the day after the test c injections. And I also supplement with DHEA tablets every day.
I now have some test c 250 and Anadrol 50mg.
My plan for this initial cycle is to do the test 250 for 8 weeks, and the Anadrol for 4 weeks. I will also continue taking the Anastrozole twice per week and the DHEA daily during the cycle. I am taking a liver support supplement daily also. From everything I've read this should be a reasonable first time cycle.
My main question however is what to do post cycle. From what I've read, since I'm already doing trt I would just go back to doing the test 200 the way I was before the cycle. And it sounds like the Anastrozole and DHEA should be good enough that I shouldn't need to do anything else post cycle. Is this correct? If this is not correct what would be recommended for post cycle procedure? Thanks for any info!

Since you have the ADrol already to hand I'm sure you will try it anyway - its a very distinct feeling you get from it. You will either love it or hate it - some guys get along fine with it even feeling good on it, whilst others find it a 'dark' feeling steroid that can make you feel depressed and anxious at times. It immediately shoots blood pressure up because it constricts all of your arteries and veins and with you being 320lb's you may find that hindering during training and lifting. If you don't get along with the anadrol then there is always its loveable alternative known as 'Dirty Dianaaa -------Bol which will also give you great strength and size increases, but gives you a generally happier feeling whilst running it. Oral Jobs aside, with this being your first cycle next to your usual TRT I would opt for an increase in Test from 200mg to 4/500mg per week for an easier ride although in all honesty you will not get the size and strength increases you will get from a nice Oral.
She's saying, "That's okay
Hey, baby, do what you please
I have the stuff that you want
I am the thing that you need
She looked me deep in the eyes
She touchin' me so to start
She says there's no turnin' back"
She trapped me in her heart
Dirty Dianaaaa ------- Bol
Dirty Dianaaaaa -------- Bol, nah
press1 knows wth he's talking about! Great insights on every post bro! Glad you're helping people in the community!
Man forget the anadrol. Like others have mentioned just run the test higher. You will get uncomfortable side effects from the anadrol. My BP got WaCkYy as fuck while taking it. I did gain about 5# a week BUT what nobody told me was how anadrol can seriously fuck with estrogen receptors or some shit. Anyway I had the worst case of painful nipples that shit really almost gave my gyno for real
I always think if you are going to do something you should do it right. That said going from 200 to 250 even adding the anadrol is meh. I’d skip the anadrol and up the test to 400 and go at it for 16 weeks. Then drop back down to your TRT dose. Watch the blood pressure and you should feel incredible.
I’d blast for 16 weeks test only and then go on your lower cruise dose. Rinse and repeat. You could do an oral to kickstart the first 4 weeks but if you haven’t done blast level test before I’d stick with that. You could always add it following blast.
Yes, I am 6'2", 320lbs. Definitely have some excess weight on me but do have a lot of muscle/strength also. The .4 of test c 200 twice per week is what the doctor ordered. Blood has been coming back great like that. Y'all have me wondering if I misread something on the anadrol now. lol. I thought I had read in multiple places that it was a relatively safe oral for beginners. I guess I'll put that to the side for now and just work with the higher dosage test first. And my goal is purely more strength.
320lbs is going to kill you. Get on some Reta and TRT and hit the gym until you get some of that off.
DocMcGainsPerhaps you have anadrol confused with anavar? Anavar is often described as the "safe" oral for its modest side effect profile, lower androgenicity than other AAS, and its aesthetic affects (which is what most of us are chasing anyway, right?). But I will report that it was hard on my lipids even at a low, low dose of 10mg/day. It took about 6 weeks for my HDL to climb back to a place where I was comfortable crushing it again with NPP and EQ...
I second the advice given below. Reta at 3-4mg/week or even higher, get that bodyfat down, then maybe experiment, but probably not with anadrol... Extra body fat and AAS are a bad mix - a lot of wasted gear since you won't get the results you want, and because of the aromatase production from bodyfat a much higher likelihood of unpleasant and avoidable sides.
I really wouldn't recommend anadrol at your age or weight. The strength you'll get from it will be far more than your body can handle, joint pain yes but were talking torn ligaments from rapid growth and over confidence where your body is at if your stats are correct.
I'm never going to be one to fat shame as I have came down from 370+ pounds myself but some GLP1 and HGH would do you wonders for a year before touching something like that. From my own experience with anadrol I got some nipple itchiness and sensitivity after just a few days of 50mg at my 17.5% bf likely due to a lot of fat storage being in my tits from ex-obese era.
Up the test dose while controlling the estrogen sure, GH and reta would be fantastic add ons and if you HAD to go with an oral for fun I mean low dose anavar I could more likely see.
Reta or Tirz with maybe some HGH would do more for you than 8 weeks of an additional 50mg test and a 4 week run of Anadrol.
To answer your question, it depends on bloods and sides but you probably wont need to adjust your AI a ton or at all for an additional 50mg and dropping back to trt would remove the need for pct.
Second this comment. Reta and small HGH dose will do wonders on your weight.
Are the height and weight figures on your profile accurate? 6'2" 320lbs, 54 years old?
Assuming your trt is doctor supervised? I'd stay away from blasting brother.
DocMcGainsMostly curious here why your go-to first addition to your test base is anadrol? Why not add something milder on your lipids and liver enzymes? If is hard to assess whether you are doing this right since you haven't really articulated your goals. Anadrol is a strength and performance compound, which serves its purpose. If your goal, at 54, is to add lean muscle or improve long term performance, I am not sure that anadrol is the best compound to add. You will definitely see transient, rapid strength increases, but that can be risky for us older dudes with older joints and a more limited ability to recover from injury.
Additional information would be helpful: what do you want to achieve? what are your short and long-term goals? What is your body composition? How is your blood work? (More importantly: have you run bloods recently to establish your baseline before this cycle??)
Anadrol is a harsh oral, and while I've heard of it being employed synergistically with, say, trenbolone (Dr Dean has a podcast on this) it strikes me as an odd choice. Why not just slowly titrate your test up and run that higher for a spell, get some bloodwork done 8-10 weeks in, and see how you respond? If things are going well, maybe consider adding in a milder injectable that won't be so hard on your liver (primo, mast) and go with that for another 8-10 weeks before tapering back to your TRT "cruise" (200mg/week is a high cruising dose for most of us moderately muscled guys who don't have a ton of androgen receptor capacity - is this the dose selected by your TRT provider, or was it one you settled on independently?)
So, lots of follow-up questions because what's needed here is additional information for the knowledgeable folks on this platform to give you decent guidance.
