Genotropin Scarcity

ad

I've been trying to get Genotropin pens and discovering it's hard to find and the trusted source I usually use says they are out and couldn't give me a timeline on when to expect more. Wondering if I should seek alternative options...my research has been exhaustive and I just want to buy something I know is legit. Any recommendations?

Thanks Crazy Doser. My research has been exhaustive and not sure if I am being smart with my searches.

The trade name Genotropin has been rebranded. Pfizer now markets its r-DNA HGH under a different name.

However, you can still find leftover stock from previous Genotropin batches. They are still carried by the sources.

What name have you seen Pfizer marketing it under? Are you talking about the longer acting NGENLA they make with OPKO?

Where and when did Genotropin get discontinued/rebranded?

We still have the Genotropin cartridges produced by Pfizer available at our pharmacy in Texas and have not heard anything about a possible change since the 5mg/12mg/mini shortage problems.

During this shortage Genentech chose to discontinue all formulations of Nutropin by December 31st, 2024 and the majority of patients that were on that got approved and switched over to Genotropin.

Actually I’m relatively sure Pfizer released a 5 year plan to ensure their continuation providing for HGH patients as they are aware of the shortage
