Both diabetes and obesity are directly and strongly linked to the risk of heart disease, which is the primary cause of death globally. These conditions exact a significant toll on the healthcare system and, naturally, impact our quality of life.

To provide context, the annual market value of this drug class exceeds $25 billion, and the market capitalization of the pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk (the parent company of Ozempic) has nearly tripled since the introduction of this medication, surpassing $500 billion.

A wealth of information is available on both Ozempic and Mounjaro, detailing their mechanisms of action, effects, benefits, and outcomes. In the coming weeks, I'll explore these aspects concisely, along with a few analyses, shedding light on topics often overlooked by the mainstream media, particularly the implications and uses of both in fitness, sports, and bodybuilding.

So, what are Ozempic and Mounjaro?​
Both Ozempic (generic name semaglutide) and Mounjaro (generic name Tirzapatide) are Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonists.
What is a GLP1 agonist?​
GLP1 is a peptide naturally secreted in our body. An agonist activates the same mechanism as the natural peptide, essentially mimicking its effect.
GLP1 is an incretin hormone. What is an incretin hormone?​
It's a hormone released in the intestine in response to nutrient intake, stimulating pancreatic beta cell activity and insulin secretion. This improves glucose control and processing, crucial for a healthy metabolism, especially in high-energy-demanding athletes. This trait manifests in heightened insulin sensitivity, a concept familiar to many, pivotal for health and optimal performance. GLP1 also regulates food intake by influencing brain tissue and gastric emptying, signaling satiety, optimizing food processing, reducing peak glucose levels, and indicating satiety.
Mounjaro vs. Ozempic:​
Mounjaro, unlike Ozempic, is not only a GLP1 agonist but also a pioneering Glucose-Dependent Insulinotropic Polypeptide (GIP) agonist. GIP is recognized as the most potent incretin hormone, enhancing insulin secretion in response to food intake, thereby regulating glucose metabolism effectively.
Tirzepatide, the primary component in Mounjaro, has shown superior enhancement in insulin sensitivity and insulin secretory responses compared to semaglutide (Ozempic's primary component), resulting in lower levels of prandial insulin and glucagon. While both medications have similar effects on appetite reduction, tirzepatide has demonstrated more significant weight loss.
That said, recent scientific literature suggests that the precise mechanism of action of GIP (unlike GLP1) in the human body is not fully understood. While GIP reduces food intake and body weight in rodents, these effects haven't been conclusively demonstrated in humans. Furthermore, it remains to be proven whether GIPR agonism can enhance insulin secretion in type 2 diabetic patients who have previously shown resistance to GIP.

Was watching Katt Williams, he mentioned the Hollywood wankers love ozmpic stuff. Had to Google it, they used it as a diet drugs like we use clen. But it's not just stripping fat, muscle is burning up to.
They look like crack//heroin addicts look, like death. I've used clen a couple of times, never did me any harm, this stuff though, it's not something you want to take where you rely on your appearance.

Hopegully I haven't mistaken the drugs.

Any weight loss will usually result in some muscle loss, which I'll expend further in later articles. Typically, 25-40% of the lost weight is "lean" mass (primarily muscle but also other tissue besides fat). Relatively speaking, the weight lost with Ozempic, and especially with Mounjaro, consists more of fat mass. I'll provide more literature on this later.

Of course, it's crucial to engage in resistance training to preserve muscle.

But still, when you enter "Ozempic" into Google, you'll immediately see the autofill suggestion "Ozempic + face," a reference to the notorious "skeleton" face that people sometimes develop when using Ozempic (and losing weight too quickly)

You can bet those people also aren't doing regular resistance training and making sure to get the proper amount of protein intake. The exact same thing would happen to someone who just cut calories significantly and did nothing to maintain their muscle mass.
