WHY TRT??

ad

why does it seem like so many older guys on the boards are on TRT. Is it because they screwed up cycling when they were younger? or other reasons?

Said thanks to all the junk and fake food out there. I remember when I was back in 7 grade. My school was next to a high school and shit everybody was big. I mean body shape of men's. Now you see high school kid, that girls are bigger than them.

Im 30 now, was 26 and had not cycled yet, had a sudden weight gain and started feeling like shit in general. Feel into the downward spiral of depression and all that good stuff. Finally went to the doc and got a full panel test and every other test. Out come was a test of 325 which my doc said was that of an 85 year old man. He suggested trt, I was hesitate. I got on the wagon and will never look back. Some young folks can get hit with low t, you never know unless you get in there and get bloods.

Was on half of those myself so know what you mean zoloft, wellbutrin, seriquel, ambien etc. Now getting tests done for TRT for alot fo the similar reasons.

Been on TRT since I was about 32. I was 340 40%bf.... I never touched AAS before that point, or pro hormones. I had some issues and I couldn't lose weight then had prostate problems, runs in family. Also had problems fertility issues with wife. They did a blood screen and found my test between 100-200. I needed 3 test for my insurance, all we're below 200. I only started AAS last year when I made no more gains in gym , I'm 37 now. I'm at 250 and 14-15% BF

This study shows why TRT is gaining. Each generation of men have a lower level of Testosterone than the previous.

http://jcem.endojournals.org/content/92/1/196.full

For those who don't feel like reading through the whole study:

Three studies done on men:
(T1: 1987–1989)
(T2: 1995–1997)
(T3: 2002–2004)

Results: We observe a substantial age-independent decline in T that does not appear to be attributable to observed changes in explanatory factors, including health and lifestyle characteristics such as smoking and obesity. The estimated population-level declines are greater in magnitude than the cross-sectional declines in T typically associated with age.

Conclusions: These results indicate that recent years have seen a substantial, and as yet unrecognized, age-independent population-level decrease in T in American men, potentially attributable to birth cohort differences or to health or environmental effects not captured in observed data.

I've never cycled nor used any type of steroid prior to TRT. I went on it because I'm in my mid 30's and felt terrible, slugglish and always tired.. went to the DR, he test my T levels, my total T was 100. I've been on TRT a couple months now, it's made an immediate impact in my life.

how does it go now? you stay on the rest of your life? or you just go on for a little while and then back to low T?

There are many resons for TRT. Not everybody doing TRT is old. I have seen where some younger guys in there late 20's and 30's manipulate their levels to get prescribed Test from their doctor. Bad idea imo. One should try all ways and means possible to restore Test levels naturally before moving to TRT. Once again my opinion. Some guys have seriously messed up running cycles and have to be on TRT for life. They get in a hurry to "get big fast" and don't research and use proper PCT.
In my case my doctor advised it. My boys just don't work the way they should. Not to drag this out, but it was a good move. Low dose of Test a week has changed my life. I've been on TRT for about 2 months now with injectable test.I've tried the gels for about a year now. So I'm just starting with IM TRT, but the benefits are great so far.The increase in muscle mass, better memory and concentration, boost in libido, and improvement in energy level. Basically I got fed up with my lifestyle and needed a change. Everybody is different, some have no problem producing natural test and some don't. I fall into the not being able to produce naturally. I've had all my kids and want to be the cool Gdaddy not the old fart granpa. I've done my share of cycles in the past. Did that play a part in this? That I will never know. I will say that proper PCT was not in the mix. As I said, everybody is different. One should do proper research and consult a doctor before making this decision. It's lifelong commitment. But as said earlier many don't need it. Do you ask out of interest in doing TRT?

Ever see the "low T" comercals? It explains it all. Your natural test level peaks at age 18 and drops after that weather you have cycled in your life time or not. Everyone's different and some peoples test levels drop faster than others.

in a few cases that could be the reason but older people trt because the older you get the more natural testosterone you lose an without at least a normal rate of test it not only causes ur libido to go down witch can cause erectile dysfunction but also the loss of muscle an being able to maintain an or build muscle
