ad
So just went for a follow up with my dr my test level was 999 total and cholesterol was 279 total and rbc was high so he recommended me taking me off trt since my cholesterol jumped so high since last time.. he recommends me just stopping and seeing how my body comes back and go from there. I find this very stupid but I'm no dr iv been on trt for around a year now I believe. any advice? ?

To anyone that sees this I have good news 2 months later and eating better and niacin and red yeast rice my cholesterol total number is now around 180 My ldl went down almost 90 points and also I lowered my trt dose only problem was hdl was one point low and my creatinine was 1.44 I believe which is high.. but for the most I am one happy camper!!
thanks for the follow-up and glad things have improved for you.+1
Thank u sir
Good job!
Appreciate it!
1.44 is not high creatinine if you are carry significant muscle mass.
RustyhookerBoom! Got your longevity back! That's great news.
Yes sir and thanks for all your help!
RustyhookerI'm wondering if lower test would result in lower cholesterol levels. Given some of the info below, and 999 is fairly high. I know it's within "norm" but maybe your "norm" is better at 600. I'd work closer to the endo, adjust as given below and map is with more bloods.
Gonna find another urologist and forget this one.
Appreciate it bud!
I managed to get my cholesterol back in line with one bottle of niacin. A year later, it was still good even in the middle of cycle.
Mr hemoglobin is a different story, need to give blood often to stay in the zone.
Niacin did wonders for me! I run it year round now with fish oil, garlic and co q10.
I may try Niacin.. appreciate it fellaz
Do not use the "anti flush"" Niacin, it does not work the same way. The "flush" (kind of like a hot flash that makes you look sunburned for 15 mins) side effect will diminish in time.
Or just regular niacin?
So get the niacin flush?
yep, just plain old walmart niacin.
I got 100mg niacin. There was 500 and 1000 as well but prefer to try 100 first lol and now taking red yeast rice as well.
Appreciate it man.. I'll throw that in the mix
Yep, that's what I used to drop my lipids back into range. 100mg a day. The first few days are pretty interesting, sunburn red over my entire body, lol. but only for about an hour.
Wow literally 10 mins later after taking my face feels burnt..
Yep, you got the right stuff! The "flush" really doesn't go away, but it seems to lessen over time though.
I guess so! Hope this stuff works lol
How high were your lipids before and what was it after?
It was 228 and 165
This is my bloodwork, with 2013 levels next to 2014 levels. https://www.eroids.com/sites/default/files/gearpic/48134/feb2014questblo...
It dropped to 184/ 124 in 2014.
Here is my bloods from this month, https://www.eroids.com/sites/default/files/gearpic/48134/febblood1.png
I take 100mg of niacin one every couple weeks now, get a good red flush each time.
Double post
If this is a regular doc like family doc they don't know shit. If your doing 200 mg a week cut it to 100 mg. You will have better cholesterol values and better estrogen levels. Grab some niacin flush free and start a 1000mg a day. It will take your bad cholesterol numbers and turn them into good.
It was my urologist. And he referred me to my primary and told me to stop all testosterone and do blood test in 8 weeks or wtvr which is crazy!
As far as niacin goes, i never knew the Benifet of it until my anti aging doc told me about it. I was always told to use flush free.
I'm not sure if there is a difference on how the flush vs flushfree reduce lipids.
My Doc actually told me that it was just changing my numbers, and not really changing my cardiac risk.
But a year later, with only occasional niacin, my numbers are still gtg.
I'm reading now that niacin that causes the flush is the one i should use but Damn I've been on flush free for two years and it still changed my numbers.
I don't even really feel flushing anymore at all it was just the first 2 days and it's not that bad. ..
Yeah i ordered regular niacin yesterday. After researching it says flush free has no lipid benefits but i know it did help.
I could see perhaps cutting the test back some, donating some blood to get the rbc down, and doing cardio. I don't support your docs decision of stop trt all together. It isn't his body he is screwing with.
This happened to me and it was related to cardio and compounds. I did a blast w/ some NPP and Dbol, a month or so after my blast I went to the doc and my test was alright but my cholesterol was destroyed. I hadn't done legit cardio in a year or so. I maintained my TRT dose (which is fairly moderate at 100mg/ml a week) and started doing high intensity interval training for 4-5 months. Came back and my cholesterol was back in check. Since then I've avoided orals and stuck with test only. When was the last time you blasted?
Yeah man I'm going to go to my primary see what he says. . Haven't really blasted for at least 4to5 mos.
I like that dose.....kudos to HIIT and lowering cholesterol level without cholesterol drug. Did u modify diet?
Not really. Thank goodness, that would have been the next step if that didn't work. I'll do almost anything to avoid cholesterol meds
Awesome....good job
What was your TRT dose per week? When is your follow up? When was your last injection?
Was doing 75mg ew, previously it was 100 but came back too high and now even at 75 it was too high. I just can't believe he tells me to just stop and we do a blood test in 8 weeks for a follow up. Didn't mention pct or anything. .
How often do you get sent for blood work
