+ 1 Dr & TRT
ad
So I'm 31 cycled a couple times with Test e and test p. and a little worried about my levels going way down. How would I bring up getting my test levels checked to my dr for possible TRT? Don't want to walk in and just say " hey doc I need my test levels checked". How did everyone who is on TRT bring this up to there dr . I see huge billboards in my area saying TRT treatment like it is the norm here. Thanks guys for any help.

I like what was said below by the last two comments. Dr's want money, you just need to give them a reason to run the test. Complain of the common symptoms.
After 7-8 years of opiate abuse I checked my self into rehab and turned my life around. After a year of sobriety and healthy eatting, Workin out, and living life, things still didn't feel right. I was having all of the symptoms of low test to the point that it was a major problem at only age 30... So I decided to go to my doctor and get blood work done to check all my levels, test, thyroid, liver, rbc, etc...
All came back normal except or my test level at a whopping 200... At age 30... Yeah shitty beyond shitty actually.
So after talking with my urologist and reviewing my test scores/blood work and symptoms he concluded that TRT was my best option due to the low test and for the fact of the long period of opiate abuse among a few other reasons an the fact that my test level was so low even after a year of sobriety and healthy eatting and working out. My advise is first and foremost if you don't have to go on TRT or don't have symptoms or blood work to back then don't try for it, but if it is what it is, get the blood work done, explain your low Test symptoms to your doctor and find a doctor that actually is knowledgeable about TRT/HRT and isn't stingy or afraid to perscribe it.
scorpion2bravoi was wondering the same thing, but when to get blood drawn after a month on test p, how long will it take to clear my system... i
To kinda of add to to the OP. im going on 37 and coming off a 3 month test only cycle, and it has done amazing results in my sex drive, wife is lovin it, I have not felt this way since my 20's and realized what has been loss,. Not to highjack this post, but id like to go on TRT, For the Vets in here how long should I wait before seeing my reg doc for blood work after last test-e injection? Im probably about 7days now since last shot..
I'm more worried about down the road. Of course I am going to run PCT to get back to normal. 2 weeks after pct is when you should get bloods from a private lab to see what your levels are. Then if low you would see your doc.
First of all make sure you actually do have low test. If you walk in claiming the symptoms of low testosterone and the lab works come back with a test level 600 or higher, then you are going to be in for a battery of further tests and expenses for the doc to find out what is "wrong" with you. If you claim you are experiencing those symptoms and your test level is still normal, he is going to be worried it could be something more serious. (and of course all of this is going to show up on your medical records and your insurance may be affected down the road.)
Go online to privatemdlabs and order the female hormone panel. $50 after some of the discounts that are floating around here. Get your blood work done and see where it is. If you are 400 or under then go in and claim that.
Also, you might want to omit saying you are depressed. Really not a good idea even though it is a symptom. Just look up Symptoms Of Low Testosterone on the net and take note of 4-5 of them and tailor them for your self.
Tell your doc that you have following symptoms: Very low libido, "I havent even knocked one one in weeks", constant fatigue, loss of mental sharpness and focus and that you were told it could all be due to low test. Boom.
In my experience, just tell your doc that you're worried you may have low t levels. My doctor tested me a while ago when I told him I was fatigued a lot and was depressed. It shouldn't be too hard.
