I'm going to make it short and sweet. What do you all think about the trial as a whole and the outcome. I will give you my point of view once I get a few responses to the outcome. Batter Up!

AnonI have no doubt Treyvon Martin could have been a no good little hoodlum, but that doesnt matter. George Zimmerman invited this whole drama to unfold. He blurred the lines between the duties of neighborhood watch and vigilantism .
Just like the OJ simpson trial, the prosecution blundered this case big time.

And even if a cop told me not to follow someone, I would still follow them because that is not against the law. A police officer is not your boss, you do not have to listen to them. The stand your ground law says that if you are being attacked you can use deadly force to save your life.

Last week my boy took his son into a pizza parlor to pick up a pie to go. He's at the counter and his boy goes to look at the video games. There's this guy an older man around 60 sitting near by and goes and talks to the kid. He sits down at a table next to my boys son who standing. The guy starts up a conversation with the kid. My homie finishes paying and calls for his son. The old guy tell my friend to wait that he is talking to the kid. My friend keeps calling his son and the old guy get even more upset and softly puts his hand on the kids arm and keeps him from walking away. My boy tells the old man to fuck off and he grabs his son and walks out. It was obvious that old man was a pedophile and once he put hands on my son I would've smashed his face in. But under Florida law once I did that he could've shot me and would've been free and clear. Even though it was obvious the dude was a pedo. Nobody tells a parent to wait while a stranger talks to their kid. Unless u want to rape that kid.
Zimmerman followed this kid for blocks. When u look for drama it's my experience that it sure as fuck finds u. So really its a skewed point of view of that law.
I doubt the law states you can provoke violence and kill somebody. That's what was lost in this. The was a provocation of violence. At what point is a man smashing your head on the concrete threatening your life? Fact: Martin initiated the violent confrontation by attacking Zimmerman, sure Zimmerman was following him , but he didn't touch him. Now, if Zim had shot him first without being attacked it would be a completely different story, but that is not what happened. Martin thought he was a bad ass and was gonna teach Zim a lesson, sadly for him it was a mistake that cost him his life.
The only person that can recall any of what happened is Zimmerman... I wouldn't take any of what he remembers to the bank.

Stand your ground law has gotten people off in florida in more ridiculous situations before. The only reason people care because it was racially charged, politically charged, and celebrity charged. Politicians cared because it helps with anti-gun laws. The true people that suffer are the families of this kid. Kids his age die all the time in similar situations.

I honestly want to know what everyone who has FOLLOWED the trial like I have believe if what occurred tonight was right or wrong. Until we all realize we are all in this together and stop letting lines drawn in the sand for us then this world will be better off. Unfortunately I believe that will never happen.

I believe the only reason this was brought to trial and to the light of the media is because of the knee-jerk reaction that it was a racially fueled murder. The prosecutions own witnesses caused the outcome of this trial. Calling a Hispanic whose first language is spanish a "crakka" is just pure ignorant and reverse racism. I feel for the family of the victim. I really do. No reason for such a young life to be taken that way. But it wasn't murder
The knee jerk reaction was from the media as a whole. If you go to some of the archives of some of the media sources you will find a pattern. It first was reported as a shooting. Then they reported it as a black KID not teenager as being murdered while walking back from a store with candy and a watermelon tea. Before they had any info on what actually occurred they used it as a race bait situation for RATINGS! nothing more nothing less.Then if you follow the archives they recanted on the original occurrence and labeled it as a confrontation. By this time the vultures that are Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton already were running with this as a race issue and the rest is history. I have kids of my own so I feel for the Martin Family. This should have never occurred and both are at fault for it. I am so tired though of this white vs black agenda by our media. To a point biggerthanyou hit the nail on the head. This was used to distract us from the real issues we face and the media never follows up on and that's the Govv taking over all aspects of our lives.

I saw it coming. The prosecution didn't have any cold hard evidence to get manslaughter to stick. Not saying he didn't murder martin, but you can't prosecute someone without providing substantial evidence.

Well if there wasn't undoubtable evidence for this trial and the original Sherrif, DA, and investigators said that was the case and all basically got canned. Then answer me this. The trial is over he was found not guilty by a peers of jury, why was it brought this far along? Why was everyone that originally worked the case railroaded and still after the dust settles they were right? Why was tax payers money spent and why all this media coverage day in day out.
