working through shoulder pain?

ad

What do most of you do when you have shoulder pain, do you just keep lifting even though theres pain? my shoulders were hurting so bad, i had to drop down to 10lbs on lateral raises just to be able to keep working out and finish my shoulder day.. i dont know if i am going to injure it more or if its ok to just work through it??

It might be a possible RC injury. I spend about 10mins pre-chest/shoulder workout days warming up my RC and joints to prevent injury. Make sure you include both internal rotation and external rotation in both the vertical and horizontal plane of motion

but should you keep lifting if your in oain? should you go thru your whole shoulder routine even though its hurting or stop? go lighter?

I wouldn't train shoulder/chest for a couple of weeks and instead swap those workouts with rotator cuff exercises.

However, if you're insistent on training shoulders/chest then i suggest you spend an adequate amount of time warming up your rotator cuff and training with light/moderate weight. And i would continue with this training approach until you feel that your injury has been prevented and your shoulder is back to normal. I would also consider taking supplements to care for your joints, like codliver oil, glucosamine

Do you think taking too many shots in your shoulder will cause shoulder pain/injury? i have been doing most of my shots there recently

Pinning in delts will cause some tissue damage from scaring, and frequent delt shots will only hinder the recovery time for the scarred tissue. Rotate your sites, hit up glutes and quads until the pain in your shoulder goes away.

IMO, i dont think there is any correlation between your shoulder injury and pinning in the shoulder. However, if you are experiencing PIP in your delts then that could be the pain you have/are experiencing (but i'm sure you would know that it is not PIP).
