Take nothing for granted...
ad
Today just as I left the gym I get a phone call, one of my dearest friends, the bass player in my band was dead. Talk about knocking the wind out of me.. We just got together and played a couple weeks ago, we had a great time, I only wish I knew it was going to be the last time, I would have kept us playing much longer. That magic we all created together is gone. So my friends, make sure you let the people in your life know that you care for and appreciate them. Whether it be a bro hug or just a simple thanks, you never know when it will be too late........See you on the other side brother..

I'm sorry about your friend, lord knows I have a few I wish I could go back to the last time I saw them...
Ice, I terribly regret your loss and forgive my interest in asking how and what caused his death?, I assume he was a young man with many more years of life to live, just maybe his cause of death would be a boot to the ass of someone here to either do or not do something to guard oneself s health. always remember after the pain of his death subsides this friend of yours will bring pleasant memories to mind and he will live forever in the hearts and minds of everyone who loved him.
He wasn't that young , he was 60. But he was in really good condition for a 60 year old. His parents and aunts and uncles all lived into their 90's. We all thought he would outlive all of us and I am 20 years younger than he is.
Last night my lead guitar player and I were at a christmas party along with our occasional keyboard player and other friends that knew him. It was good to talk and reminisce. I realized last night he was the first non-family member that I have lost that broke me like a twig. My estro must be too high.
BigBmajSorry to hear this news bro. It
just shows how important it is to appreciate life. I just had to go through a ton of shit to learn this lesson for myself. It's amazing how blind we can be at times. Why does it seem that pain is the biggest eye opener?
Sorry for your loss bro! I totally agree and practice this everyday! I tell family I love them everytime I see them usually upon departure. I tell the only friend I have that he's appreciated and to take care every time we get together upon departure of course. Lol I don't know why but if you tell people you love them or care about while they're visiting it seems weird. For me it's most appropriate to say it before you leave or vise versa. I'll even say this to good acquaintances.
condolences for your loss
So sorry :(
Sorry for your loss bro. May he rest in peace. Keep your chin up!
Sorry for your loss brother.
Sorry for your loss Ice.
Wow ICE sorry about your loss. Stay strong man!
I stopped and seen his wife this morning. I went to console her but it quickly became obvious it was really her consoling me. Our other two band mates aren't doing any better. We will push on no doubt but right now.....
Losing a loved one / friend is hard anytime , but got to be especially hard right before the holiday. I send my sincere condolences.
Sorry for your lose man. At least you guys got to do something that you both enjoyed together one last time !
Thanks guys. Last night was tough. These losses you never expect sure do hit hard. His father and uncles all lived into there 90's, his mom into her late 80's. He thought he was going to live long as well too, so he refused to go to the doctors. When I say refused,I mean they had zero records on him.
My father in law carries a similar mindset, today I will begin riding his ass to get healthier....
ClassyChassisI'm so sorry.

Ace VenturaI'm sorry to hear that. Great post brother.
My sympathies go out to you brother. How true it is to live life like it's your last day, because you never know when it will be.
