Cheapest place to get used weights?
ad
Yo bros,
Looking for some cheap used weights to have at home. I tried craigslist and the bros on there still seem to be asking a lot of money. Anyone have any other ideas or places they stumbled upon that have good deals?

You can always check thrift stores as well. I found a nice set back in the day for a steal.
craigslist.. ... your doing it wrong.. you post up what you will pay..
and they will contact you. .. works for me.. ALL of my 45 lb plates are used. .. patience.

last thing I got was a pair of 100 lb olympic plates for like $50.00 on CL
Marcel1229Hey man Add me I can help
Its all about the sale, On craigslist you barter the shit out of people. They post high because they usually know you will beat them on the price. I used to use craigslist to sell my stuff but kind of got sick of people low balling the shit out of me. 300 item I would post for 100 and they STILL asked if I would take 50. So beat them up on the price and sit back. If its still there after a week email them again, 9 times out of 10 they will just let you have it.
This is true even if it's a hell of a price I will still low ball you! But on the same note back and bite you in the ass because somebody else might pay it. So if you think it's a fair price rather than losing it you might want to buy it. And you are correct about getting a hold of them about a week later. A lot of times they won't call you but if you call them back they will except your offer
Goodwill as well is a great place
Yeah Craig's list is the best. They always say no but just leave your number and wait them out. You may have to use this technique with several people before you get the deal you're willing to live with. Although it's a bad time of year because this is when people get the workout bug. Weights are like boats and motorcycles. September and October are the best time of the year to buy.
noob941yep seasonal...nows a good time to buy a snowmobile though
LOL yes it is
I can't speak for everywhere, but The metal scrap yards here have a couple thousand pounds they're reselling at $.30 a pound I just noticed them recycling some materials and had to inquire. It's an insanely good deal. They usually average a dollar a pound used. It would be worth checking into.
x2 our sells them for .12 a lb
Craig's list .. People get hard up and sell it pretty cheap in there at least half price if not more
