Bodybuilding as an oxymoron

ad

As i become a more and more active part of this community, i haven't noticed a lot of people talking about a fair amount of issues they faced in there life

Maybe this might help someone going through a rough time or just make someone curious

I suffer from a very very frustrating condition called Muscular dystrophy the main cause of this condition is certain genes make proteins that protect muscles from damage are defective. Now i didnt know I had this condition for a while and before I had an intense passion to become successful in the fitness industry somehow, While that may take a lot longer to get too.. I will get there.

While i was set back in my way's with a lot of issues (Uneven pectorals, it affects only some part thus symmetry is nearly impossible) from the beginning i looked into "Enhancements" to help myself even out the field basically because when your willing to do all the work but get nothing back its frustrating,

now my lifts aren't great but they are quite good with my condition, i stopped gym for a year, dropped down too 55kg's to now im 73.6kgs but i have had a decent background in bodybuilding so i knew what my body would work with but this did not mean i didn't not and still don't fight with depression daily

So when someone tells "I don't have enough time, its too hard, I'm too tired, I can't grow...whatever.." I really frustrating because I'm a fucking walking oxymoron.

I hope this helps someone, inspires someone, or makes someone feel less alone.

Sounds like the gym has been a real positive influence on you both physically and psychologically. Well done.

People are full of excuses, especially in this game. "Hard gainer" and "poor genetics" etc. They're all just that, excuses. Most annoy the hell out of someone like you that has a real genuine battle.

Exactly, A few days ago i had a bit of break down mentally, thinking could i ever get anywhere and got a bit depressed so i went to gym killed my legs, noticed 3 new vains poping out of my forearms, 1000% made me feel way better. The gym is more like treatment to me.. you let everything out and you become stronger due to it.

Like you say people will find any excuse possible not to do what's hard or challenging and here you are having to work way harder at something that you have a passion for...Its sounds to me like you have heart and thats what it takes to reach your goals..If it was easy anyone could do it..Good job my friend!

I'll be as honest as possible, its hard, its so fucking hard to keep moving but if i don't, i won't go anywhere at all,

But with that fighting depression is 80% of my battles..
