New Here (Long Post, sorry about that!)

ad

Hey all,

So over the last two years I've completely changed my life around, ran a half marathon, focused on weight loss and a healthier diet/fitness lifestyle all around. I lost 50 pounds over the last six months, but did so by focusing entirely on cardio. I've been able to maintain that weight loss, but the gym was a foreign place to me until recently, so I wasn't gaining mass while losing fat. I got trained, learned how to lift and strength train (I was a total FFK-former fat kid, and didn't have any competency, just didn't grow up knowing how to be fit). I now climb regularly and am experiencing awesome mass gains. Between climbing, running, and regular lifting at the gym to supplement the climbing, I feel as though I've worked really hard to get where I am, but would now like to take another step, and reward myself, by exploring and eventually starting my first cycle.

I want to do it as safely as possible. I want to do it right. Health has been my primary reason for changing my life around. Now that I am where I am, gaining mass for looking sexy as all hell is important to me too. Do any of you have experience as a FFK, or do you know of people who started their first cycle after a large amount of fat loss? I have been reading and lurking all over, I pretty much have what would comprise my first cycle down, but want to learn more about appropriate dosages. I am 6'1, 190 pounds right now, would like to get down to 180-185 before I start using AAS. I am bigger, muscular, but still have remaining fat to burn, primarily in love handles/upper legs.

I'm not sure how to post a pic, but I'm going to get one in my profile in a second. SO, I guess I'm just introducing myself, because I hope to start taking a more active role here to learn more about what my first cycle will look like. I'll probably be waiting until November to get started on any real cycle, but am looking forward to your feedback and insight until then.

Thanks all!
-Gunner

Great job on the weight loss. You need to give it a couple years before you cycle. You can tone up more then gain muscle mass naturally while staying relatively lean through a solid diet. I say you need to lift heavy consistently for years because you body, joints, and ligament have not been conditioned to handle the weight. When you add aas your strength goes through the roof and you are more susceptible to injury, especially you because you are not a seasoned lifter. I lifted consistently with no more than a month off at a time for 6 years before I touched anything. Do what you can naturally until you cannot go any further. Also by getting to your potential first you will be able to fly past it when you cycle. If you do it to soon it might just bring you up to you genetic potential then you will have to do more to get past it.

That is excellent to know--seriously appreciate the info and will be waiting at least 6 months with solid lifting 5x/wk. Meanwhile, i'll be absorbing info on here like a sponge!

Here's a link to a progress pic. Pic on left was after losing 25 lbs. Am about 5 lbs heavier than pic on the right now, that was taken at 185. https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc6/262140_10100522195123667_173...
