New and thinking about first Test only cycle

ad

hi, im new to this and have been thinking for a while now about trying AAS and thought i might try my first test only cycle. Ive been lifting since 16 and i am 24 now @ 195lbs/6'4", i understand that 24 is a young age to consider using AAS, however last year i started working in construction and ive still been trying to maintain my muscle mass by increasing my caloric intake to nearly 5k calories and im still finding it reasonably difficult just to maintain...I believe i would fall under an ectomorph category as well and have an extremely high metabolism, also, during work I know im burning alot of calories. Ive even modified my workouts to take longer rest periods and lower my rep range with heavier weights, but as i do this it seems i just need to eat more and more as i gain in size which i just dont have the time to fit in all these extremely large meals everyday. In my industry Im in I curently workin 7 days a week/10hr days. So ive been doing tons of reading on posts and research and thought i might at least try a test only cycle with proper dieting during the entire time, followed up by the correct pctbto see howy body reacts.
advice,thoughts,or suggestions?

So you think by using aas it will make up for a shitty diet? The answer is no. You need to learn how to meal prep and buy nutrition bars to stuff in your pockets, shit you could cook up chicken breasts and eat those on the go too. Contrary to popular belief you still have to eat and train while on a cycle. You are not ready yet if you can't balance food with work.

i dont think i have a shitty diet .... in the morning i have 2 servings of greek yogurt along with a peanutbutter jelly sandwich. then i have a 20g protein cookie before lunch which is 12oz chicken breast along with 190g cooked brown rice and green beans. after that ill have 1 cliff protein bar and 1 odwalla protein drink before i get off work then head to my workout after which i have another odwalla protein drink and another peanutbutter sandwich and later on for dinner ill make a 7 whole egg omellete with 4oz of pepper jack cheese and an a whole avocado. and i havent accounted for sauces and chips and drinks and other stuff in between. i have either candy or nuts in my pocket just to nibble on while working as well to get some extra carbs or fats in Ive had a fairly clean diet for at least 3-4 years of my training. before i started construction i was able to modify this diet depending on if i were bulking or doing sort of a (mini cut) but ive always tried to stay at maintenance or gradually bulk as it is very easy for me to cut. Or modify it for the simple fact that certain meals get boring and ill try to switch it up on the weekends with oats and fruits and different meats but still making sure i hit my goal macros for the day.

Don't count all those "drinks" in your count, they are empty and fast in and fast out.

I always have carb snack like belvitta which has 28grams I think of carbs and meal replacement met rx bars to help get me through to my next meal just to keep pumping protein and carbs. If I don't do that with my larger meals I with in a month or 2 will drop 15-20 pounds. My main meals for example are at 9 is a large romain salad with carrots croutons radishes and cottage cheese on the side is a protein bar and say yogurt, lunch and 3 break is 10-12 oz of chicken with 1-2 carb snacks sometimes more plus dinner is usually Sunday style red meat potatoes and some veggies. There is still more to add if it's that hard to keep or gain weight you have to add these things or type of things in to do so before steroids man. What the experienced members will say is you have to do whatever it takes to get everything in check before doing steroids because if not you won't get anywhere near what you could and could mess yourself up. My idea is diet training then adjust diet to fit how you want to train then after you have years of that under your belt think about steroids but you have to have everything in place first

Ok, forget about what the nutrition info says on a package, those numbers are based off a low calorie diet. Serving size says 25 grams of carbs per a 4 ounce piece, based on a 2500 calorie diet, 25 grams of protein in itself is how many calories if not based on 2500 in a given day? 100 calories. So then take what's left over in that 4 ounce piece and do the math again. You will start to see that in any given meal, you will need to consume more then what is recommended based on your outcome. Eating a salad is not bulking at all, it's rabbit food. I guarantee if you took everything you eat in a day and added it up, you are eating what amounts to a ballerina in comparison. Get yourself a macro counter or a free app that adds up everything you eat and at the end of the day you will kick yourself in the ass.

Whoops this was meant for the OP,

Thank you Irish I actually forgot the most important part of all this! Sane what is your macros wow I feel so silly not asking in the first place! And to Irish the ideas for snacks was just to continue to eat and help fill until the next meal. I use my fitness pal also love the app and also it's abilities to scan bar codes.

SanetheThird's picture

according to my entry on myfitness pal
394g carbs
230g fats
313g protien
4,825 total calories
this is with out the extra snacks i decide to eat in between and im currently at 195lbs

yeah i do, im using myfitness pal atm...and yeah i really dont want to get into AAS just quite yet unless neccesary . i really just wanted some advice and see what more experienced lifters thought about my situation so thank you, all this advice really helps. i guess im just getting impatient now that my bodybuilding proccess just got a slower and requires more attention due to my new career path.

You will have ups and downs on this path. I went from a very active job to a desk job and now I have to watch my fat intake more then ever because of it. Its a never ending battle. I went from being like you and eat anything and everything and not gaining a pound to looking at a glass of water and adding 5 pounds to my waist.

I am a welder I work about the same as you I work 6 days a week at 10-12 hours a day. I burn a ton of calories because it's always over 100 in my area and I walk on average 16-17.5k steps a day (at work) lift everything my hand non stop. Make sure you are getting enough carbs I built my metabolism up because I was always heavier now it almost to much I got back to up the 250ish mark but if I don't keep calories around 4500-5000 I quickly start dropping weight but upping my carbs to 400+ a day plus on my workout days I usually do 1-2 body parts at the end I'll do like 2-3 sets for additional 2-3 body parts just to give them a little fullness especially before a day off of the gym. Plus making sure every 3 hours I eat help. My scheduale is 4am 9am 12 3pm and 630-7pm. The evenly placed meals throughout the day are a huge part as well cause say you just eat 3 times a day you'll burn all you put in just from daily activities at work. This might not be what you are looking for but hopefully if you are not doing these things you can add them or try and you'll see results before you jump into the steroid game because you are still young and these are not just plug and play they take a long of time money and effort that you might not have due to how busy you are already with work
