Back after a long break

ad

What’s up guys, just introducing myself as it's my 1st post. They call me AMP ( because I’m always hyper lol). The "1503" stands for the 15th letter of the alphabet and the 3rd letter of the alphabet. Born and raised down here all my life. Ive been training consistently for 5 years, then i got taken out for 2 years and now i'm hitting it hard again.

So I started seriously lifting when I was 18 and i started a fairy weighing in at a measly 150 lbs and twig-skinny. At age 19 I started pursuing a bodybuilding passion; not to say I wanted to be the biggest guy in the gym but I fell in love with the art of bodybuilding and everything that came with it: the aesthetic physique, the constant drive/dedication, the strength, the good and bad attention, the enhanced presence of your being everywhere you go; everything. I ran my first cycle young when I was 21 (back when i was young, dumb, and impatient) and was amazed how well my body reacted to the gear. After that point i continued bodybuilding and growing until age 23. At this point I was ~ 6 ft 230 lbs 12% bodyfat.

Unfortunately I made some mistakes in my life and ended up serving a prison term until from 23 to 25. I gained a lot of fat and lost a lot of muscle in there primarily for two reasons: one being there is no gym and the only thing to do was bodyweight exercises such as burpees, and the other reason being that the food is shit: nothing but a ton of soy, bread, potatoes, and extremely tiny-portioned fake meat/piss poor protein every meal. (Everything that actually lowers testosterone and causes bloating... I guess they didn’t want the inmates getting jacked lol). I came out of there 6ft 220 lbs 23% bodyfat. My gut got so big I couldn’t even fit into my clothes I came in with! I guess that’s what happens when you go from a 29/30 to a 36/37 waist size hahahahaha!

Anyways, ever since I’ve gotten out I got myself 2 jobs working 7 days a week, I've really gotten my life together and I’ve been making a commitment to my health and fitness again. I’ve been working out religiously every day after work (5 by 5 split; weekends being cardio only) for 3 months. I cut down to 200 lbs, a 32" waist and my strength/endurance is coming back. My goal is to finish burning off all the fat, say cut down to 8% bodyfat for summer then do a quality; lean bulk back towards my old weight range but never exceeding 12% bodyfat at any point. I'm still relatively young so what i'm looking for is guidance, positive influence, and experience from people here that share similar fitness goals and can help point me in the right direction.. I had to pretty much drop all my friends because they're bad news and I really never want to go back. My ex girlfriend who i was living with prior to my term also died of heart complications prior to my release so it really just feels like i'm on my own right now....

I know I have a lot to learn and I welcome criticism if it's to help me or my well-being. Anyways just wanted to introduce myself and put myself out here in the BB community as i'll be active on this forum. I hope to learn a lot from all of you and grow here. If anyone wants to ask me anything, feel free to PM me. Thanks

Glad to see another like minded person on here. It’s refreshing to know a lot of us have been in similar situations and chose fitness to get on the right path. If ur anything like me and some of the other members check out the recovery group (just a guess). Sorry to hear about ur girlfriend as wel. Loss is never easy. Drop ur friends and pick up new ones here and ur bound to succeed at ur goals. Keep up the good work

Right on I’ll definitely check out the recovery group! It’s nice to know I’m not alone, yeah loss sucks but it is what it is we can’t change the past and the only thing to do is push forward and be the best we can be. And thank you for the warm welcome bro I’m definitely going to push for solid, steady progression and staying away from anyone who might deter me from that path towards success and happiness. I’ll be starting a cutting cycle soon, I’ll post it in the proper forum once I receive my gear

The first thing I wanted to do when I joined was order and cycle but I had to take an honest look at myself and where I’m at before I started and realized my diet was not up to par. Ur probably goin to get more diet advice than cycle advice at first. Idk ur background though that’s just a trend I’ve noticed. I’d assume u can accomplish the majority of any goal u set forth upon bcuz ur fresh out the pen. Enjoy the progress u can make on real food first. Bet ur happy to not b eating microwaved pig slop anymore lol. Best of luck
