+ 1 Younger on trt and looking for guidance

ad

What’s up guys and gals.

So a few months back I went to get my testosterone checked I felt terrible. I’m 31 and test came back with test level of 159. Long story short I was put on trt gel 2 50mg tubes every night before bed. It’s been about 5 months and last blood test I had level of 381 but red blood cells were high and needed to donate. I never did steroids before but was very athletic in my younger years I wrestled and played football so i was constantly in the gym and working out a lot of muscle memory there. I feel like I am currently at my peak and have been thinking of adding something to the trt, what would be best if anything to run I am 6ft 280 and about 15 percent body fat. If you guys recommend something please give me the whole scoop from start to finish whether AI or pct, if it’s not to much to ask. And if it’s a fucking stupid idea ,hit me with that to. Thanks again

I think you right. Should I flat out just ask the doc. And how much gel were you taking compared to the shot. I’m taking 2 50mg tubes one on each arm.

Thanks

What about your E2 level. The ratio is very important

Not sure of the exact level I could find out but the doctor said it was slightly elevated and recommended me to another doctor who I have to take a blood test for in a few weeks.

Thank you brother yes it did help I appreciate it. Have a great day

RUSTY COMES THROUGH.

So my doc acted like my level of 381 was a 950 he said what ever your still feeling has nothing to do with your test levels. Your fine you should have plenty of energy and want to fuck like a rabbit again. He didn’t really say that but you get my point. Thanks for the reply

I KNOW DOCTORS CAN BE A PAIN IN THE ASS FOR ME I THANKFUL I LIVE IN A PRETTY SMALL DOWN AND MY DOCTOR IS NOT ALL THAT DIFFICULT .. BUT WHEN WE FIRST HAD MY TEST CHECKED AND IT CAME BACK LIKE 195 AT 36 YEARS OLD AT FIRST SHE WAS LIKE EVERYTHING IS FINE THEN AS FOR A COPY.OF MY BLOOD QORK AND HAD TO BRING IT TO HER ATTENTION THAT THATS NOT FINE AND I NEED TRT SHE WAS LIKE OH YOUR RIGHT THAT WAY LOW ETC..

Thank you brother I will look into the older trt forums/ comments. And I do have a stressful job so that probably doesn’t help and just got put on a sleep apnea machine cause I wasn’t sleeping at all, that prob had an impact as well.

Well, post cycle therapy is for when you completely stop adding hormones in an attempt to correct and maintain natural hormonal production. It’s kind of the opposite of replacement therapy.. I’m assuming the doctor checked your estrogen levels during blood work? An AI is used to counter the conversion of testosterone to estrogen due to lack of molecular binding affinity (that last bit is personal research)

Great thanks for the response. See What I don’t know is if I am currently taking trt and want to hope on some winni or var for a few weeks here and there do I need to take AI or pct while running the trt and when would be the right time to take that stuff if I needed it. I am hoping I don’t need to be on trt for life but I guess there could be worse things. And yes my doctor did check my estrogen levels and said they were slightly high witch he recommended another doctor and I have to get blood work Done for him now. Apologies if I am all over the place here.

TRT is for life, or at least until you want to stop feeling like man.

My man it’s I nightmare, letting it dry for hour or so because it sticks to my shirt and the possible transfer to my wife sucks as well. When the doctor got the level of 381 he acted like it was a 950. And doesn’t want me to go higher than that.

Switch to the topical that you put on your armpits instead. Much less of a hassle and works better also.

Jfcas156's picture

I didn’t even know that existed, I will inquire about it.

Thanks

I would still be using it but my insurance won't cover topical testosterone anymore. Worked great for me, was convenient and best part was I didn't have to stick a pin in myself every week.

the gel you rub on stomach/shoulders I did not like. Didn't work and it was a real hassle. Switched over to the other brand that you put on your armpits and it was great. Worked great and was real easy. Just put it on like deodorant and put your actual deodorant after and it was good to go.

I didn't need to shave my pits.

I actually liked how I felt on the topical better. It seemed to mimic how your body naturally produces test in pulses.

Jfcas156's picture

Thanks brother might give it a shot. What would you say a good level would be at 31 weighing 280 any guess.

Shred is right.. u need to go to a doc that specializes with hormones. Levels do affect everyone differently and things like body fat, diet, exercise can play big part. Do not add any more compounds to ur trt. Push harder to exercise, clean up ur diet to drop bodyfat, and most importantly see a specialized doctor.. Talk to them about ur concerns about this gel and family life.

Thanks brother

There is so much info on this site that maybe it seems overwhelming. Your best course of action is to research everything on the site here and then if something isn't clear come back and ask some questions to help clarify things. No one is going to spoonfeed you and you won't learn anything from that anyway.

Are you feeling alot better now that you are on TRT? Is your doctor still monitoring your bloodwork and trying to adjust levels?
It is not a stupid idea but you need to be well informed so you know what you are getting into.

Jfcas156's picture

I appreciate the honesty. Yes I am feeling much better than I was and I am still being monitored by a doctor blood work and ect. I understand everyone case is different but if someone could break down a few things it would go a long way. For example when should you take Ai if I am on trt and add something like anavar/ winstrol for 5 weeks do I need to take pct or because I am running trt I’m ok things like that. Thanks man

Makwa's picture

If you are using compounds that don't aromatize, then you don't need to take an AI to combat them. You need to research the compounds you are planning on taking.

Are you currently training and in the gym atm? Do you plan on training for the rest of your life? If the answer to those 2 questions is yes then I would personally do it as now you are over thirty test levels start to decline year on year and you will have to work much harder to get the results. However if you no longer train you have to ask yourself do you want to be injecting every week for the rest of your life - some don't and some don't mind it.

Yes I am currently training and in the gym not as hard as I used to but enough. Why would I have to inject myself every week for the rest of my life I’m not getting that part. Thanks man

TRT is a lifelong commitment.
