Yoga

ad

Was talkin to my sports doctor yesterday when I was getting my BMI and physical evaluation done and he recommend possibly doing yoga a couple times a week to improve my flexibility( I admit I have lost a bunch over the last year) saying it will help prevent injury and overall fitness
Any of you guys or gals do yoga? How often? what kind and do you do it at home or go to a place to do it?

Thanks!

If I could only do one type of workout it would be yoga. Yoga works the body's muscular, skeletal, nervous, digestive, endocrine, and cardiovascular systems. It helps your body and mind recover faster from other types of grueling workouts. Yoga is a very demanding workout especially if you're new to it so I would start at home.

It also helps with DOM'S which is also a big plus.

Get the Wii fit. it has dozens of yoga, strength and cardo exercises. If you've never done yoga, this walks you through several positions and gives you feed back so you know you doing it right, and to mark your improvement. cheaper than a trainer, and in the privacy of your own home.

Hell, yeah. I do yoga, and other stretching exercises at least 2 times a week. I try to stretch and do some joint mobility exercises every morning before my first shower. Flexibility will increase your mass also. Don't forget to stretch the minor muscles and joints such as wrists, forearms, neck and hips.
