AnonI don't think I need to say it again but get it looked at....
Red flags - Duration, size, painless
Aside from all the stuff mentioned already even if it is "just" a lipoma its greater than 10cm inherently making them more likely to have pathology come back as atypical lipoma or worse liposarcoma. Reason this is important is because with an atypical lipoma after removal you'll have substantial follow up with repeat MRI's in the future as opposed to a simple small lipoma which is just removed and thats the end. Liposarcoma not really in your age group... In terms of other differentials certainly injection granuloma's occur.
Looking at it I don't think its an injection granuloma but this is a good time to mention that if you don't get the AAS into the muscle and inject fat or are to superficial in the muscle it will weep into the fat you'll likely cause some fat necrosis and this will scar and calcify. This is not cosmetically pleasing nor pleasing to the touch! You'd be surprised the depth you need on the gluteal region even in someone with a low body fat percentage as its all variable on the trajectory/angle/substance ect. Go deep 1.5" and bury it min. if you're in the right spot upper outer quadrant theres no anatomic structures at risk.
Keep us posted on the lump, your doctor is an idiot by the way for not investigating this further and sending you home.
DO NOT STICK A NEEDLE IN IT OR LET SOMEONE WITHOUT IMAGING FIRST!
Thanks man
It doesn't hurt to get a second opinion, especially from a dermatologist. I'm surprised they didn't want to take a biopsy, to identify what the hell it is.
i just posted a pic up
I have lumps in both delts. They never go away. Small little hard lumps. Scar tissue bro.
Wardi77Maybe a sebaceous cyst? A rapid spike in hormone levels from excessive testosterone production is one of the main causes of the cyst and only a picture/biopsy can really tell what the lump is that you have.
You haven't mentioned where this lump is ,what it looks like. What it feels like. Nothing. Lets see ill take a guess. Hmmm, maybe it's one of your nutts? Is it between your legs? Is it the big lump 3 feet above your ass? Details man??
how do i post pic
