Write a new aas ebook
I often see on many forums the answer: ""You have to study more", "You have not enough knowledge", "You are not ready for an AAS cycle".
I understand that AAS are pretty complex but there are many people (including me) that are motivated and would like to improve their knowledge about that.
I find sometime difficult to find informations online, specially when is regarding setting up a new cycle, mix differents AAS etc.. Also because sometime informations are spread among different sources.
I was thinking that would be nice to have a free open-source ebook, where we can write down everything that a new user need to know about AAS.
I know that my english sucks but I am a software dev, I can contribute to setting up a repository and a nice template in LateX to fit all the informations in. In this way everybody can contribute if wanted.
Some of the topics could be:
1) Info about a single compound (I know there are plenty on those info online)
2) Setting up the diet for a cycle
3) Blood-test (What are the value that we should test. What to do when we are on cycle and one or more value are not in the limit)
4) AAS Side effects and how to fight them (AI, Prolac, Gyne)
5) How to set a cycle
6) Different example of cycles
7) How to PIN, and what needle to use
That's just an example, I hope somebody likes the idea

RustyhookerWorld anabolic review. Or even eroids.com. Lazy to rwad is lazy to prepare. Live n learn
They've been on the net for many years.
The only way this would even possible be a good idea is if you could guarantee that it wouldn't get into the hands of kids. They are always looking g for all the answers to be spoon-fed to them. They don't want to take the time to research on their own. And to top it off they do not understand the consequences to misuse of aas. Guarantee that and great if not sorry it's a terrible idea
I see your point, what about if the document is hosted on a fileserver with a password. And it is available only here on the forum to user with a min amount of karma or something like that?
This site literally has all the answers to any question you have regarding aas. Blue magnifier up top
RustyhookerAgree. Spoonfeed the millenials. Then forum after forum...they do what they want anyways. The info is here. Folks just gotta spend 20 mins to read.
Impossible. That'd be like trying to keep teens from accessing porn. Since there is no practical way to keep young people from reading a book it website concerning steroid use, the very least that can be done is ensuring that the information is as accurate as possible and clearly condemns usage under a certain age. If that warning is given and not heeded, then the onus falls on the user, not the author of the book or webpage.
You're not really understanding what I'm saying. I'm saying there is already a site that has all that info on it. It's called eroids. You just have e to know what you're looking for and put in effort to locate it. Kids don't have the patience to do any research and thus hopefully deterring them from doing it. That's all I'm saying
I might be wrong and this is just a thought... but I think even the variety of personality types/suggestions/thoughts here alone, sort of indicate that either one of two things can make it possible
Again I could be wrong in the above, but I am ridiculously opinionated, find it hard to hold my tongue when I disagree with things, and so I probably wouldn't be the best type of person to be part of a project like this if I am being honest (with myself)
I like this idea and if you put appropriate structures and governance around it then I think it could work. Mainly you could think about having editors for each section/chapter and perhaps an "editor in chief" to oversea the content and references etc. Also given there are multiple opinions and options and no one perfect way to do many things there needs to be balance brought to ensure objectivity is maintained. So it's a pretty complex and large job to do indeed. Lastly there is an element of too much info being readily available in one place. So for example what's to stop an 18 year old kid using this info to run cycles or for someone getting in over their head without fully understanding the multiple factors that come though years of experience and research and taking about ideas/issues in the forums.
Shit, Im saying similar stuff to you Dacky
and I agree with you, the advanced guide for an experienced user will inevitably become the first cycle guide for an 18 yo, or 15 yo Football/Rugby player still in school
Yeap and see below v the bit on it being only scientific v not.
I see that now
agreed!
That's just it, a book that deals with science shouldn't have opinions at all, just empirical data and the conclusions drawn from them. Multiple books and articles have already been written by steroid gurus, from Roberts to Duchaine to Llewellyn. There's no need for another. What's needed is a volume that deals purely in science without bias and without broscience. Tall task to be sure.
Good luck with that fella. I'm sure if you speak to many here the know science will only get you so far and the reality given the subject matter you're not going to get many new studies dealing with what we want to know anout. For example I and others have had many discussions with our own personal gurus like Viking and what was being discussed probably has very little true science backing it. Does it make this type of information any less relevant or useful id say not. Rather the contrary.
I see what you mean. Combining both science and expert anecdote that has all levels of users covered would of course be the ultimate, but that's one hell of an undertaking. Although considering the amount of work that would take, I highly doubt the end product would be freeware. The author(s) and editor(s) would deserve recompense for such an achievement.
Don't you think there is room for a middle-ground?
For example, AAS are pretty much all covered from a scientific perspective, for many years. Clinical trials results for a variety of uses exist for years. All of the Science piece has been done, largely. And broscience... well that's done everyday to death.
What is missing is a body of research into Supra-physiological dosages as used by AAS individuals from beginner levels through to advanced, and there are some limits on TRT for men in particular so that applies there also.
If there was a middle ground, it would be accessible rather than purely scientific, to ensure it reaches the right audience, cover beginners, be factual/science/evidence based but allow for guidance on the subjective aspects of what we do. It is still science based, but incorporates valid bro approaches/experiences, albeit by leveraging bloods etc.
?
Yes exactly pretty much what I just wrote.
I'm certainly not qualified to contribute but it's a good idea.
There kind of already is an AAS ebook though. More of an encyclopedia where you can search topics you want to know about and then read about the subject, and after, you can read real life user feedback and opinions about it.
Here, I'll post the link: www.eroids.com
I put together this post a while ago, to try to help people get started when they didn't know what to research. It's not perfect but I think after the contributions of people who responded, it's a good launching pad for a beginner who doesn't know where to start with their research.

That's a really nice post, and of course eroids it's one of my favourite place were to find informations.
Question is, can I use relevant informations from this forum for my paper? (Of course I will always mention the source)
I would clear it with Greg or Pale ( I'm sure one will see this) but as long as you cite it I don't see why they'd have an issue. But I don't always see the whole picture and could be missing a reason.
I like it
Its a nice idea
The only thing I see being an issue is the variety of approaches people take towards aas, ancillary meds, pct and so on.... bound to see someone get their feathers ruffled along the way
I'd be willing to contribute though
I am glad you guys like my idea, even tho I will need to put a lot of effort to create something useful.
But I agree with you giardap; I have seen people having differents opinions, specially on aas and pct.
I can give you an example about Deca: Some users (different bb forums), keep saying that use more then 300mg/week is not worth the gain (bulking phase). Some of them instead belive that you need to run at least 400mg/week.
Anyway I will keep you update on the progress!
I don't know if any of us are qualified to write a book that's 100% accurate. If it's like a steroid wiki where anyone could contribute, it might not be up to date insofar as the science.
I don't know it's possible for anyone at all to write one that's 100% accurate. Especially when you get past the basics, but even then. Most would have to be prefaced with "for most people, usually..."
The idea of a steroid wiki is a good one. And you may be right. No one here may be qualified to write a book but look at that fool musclehead 320. He wrote one and charged 50 bucks for it. And people were paying it. Not saying it was good or correct info but any asshole can publish a book.
Yes the wiki could actually be a good idea. For the book I was more thinking for a pdf that gather all the information that someone could also find online from different sources.
Keep in mind that I don't want any money and I will do that for free. The point for me is to learn while I am doing this.
If we go for a pdf, I will setup a free repo online and I will write using LateX (open-source).
If you guys think that a "steroid-wiki" would be more helpful, then I will host the website on one of my server for free, without even using banners on the website.
