+ 10 When in doubt, throw it out!

ad

Just a friendly reminder if you have old gear , especially water based that's been laying around for a good while and you get tempted to use for financial reasons or whatever , if you have any doubt best thing to do is just toss it. I should know better and I had a bottle of water base test laying around for a long time . Things have been kinda tight since xmas with all the kiddies in the home so figured I could get started while getting some extra cash together . Big big mistake , I got a bacteria infection in my leg, I have never been so sick, projectile vomiting sick. I should've went to the hospital and didn't but when I finally got to a doctor they told me I could've possibly had sepsis at my worst and luckily I fought it off , still was very sick and had to be put on strong antibiotics , had cat scan of my leg and they could see the infection which might still have to be taken out , have to see a general surgeon. Just finally getting back to feeling normal after over 2 weeks of being sick. So just a word to the wise , best not to cut corners if you have any doubt as to old gear, I don't know about oil but this water base I had definitely went bad.

I just went through my stash the other day and threw out 10 unopened vials. Ranged from stuff that I knew was underdosed/bunk, funky color (mast e shouldn't look like tren), and stuff that gave me pip based off of other bottles I had tried. Also dumped a few hundred orals that were bunk/underdosed and enough dbol to outfit an olympic powlifting team just because the stuff doesn't agree with me. Got rid of all my winni also because I think it is pretty much a trash steroid with much better alternates. Bottom line is don't be a gear hoarder and stick with safe quality gear.

Just wondering why you would think halo is better than winny?Just looking for info ,my Dr list halo as one of the most toxic, even worse than tren.Though tren can't be prescribed because it was never ment for human use.

Ozninjaguy's picture

I have never tried winny - have 2 unopened sachets of 50 tabs...not sure if I will bother. Tried halo a few years back before I found out how hepatoxic it was - I was very impressed - made my muscles more defined and hard as a rock. My partner didn't like it - reckoned it was like sleeping next to a concrete pillar. If I were to compete I would definitely use it - but only - as Makwa said - for a few weeks.

Thats exactly what my Dr said.Extremely hepto toxic but will strip fat and make you extremely hard.I guess if its the very end of contest prep it could be very useful.

I hit you 3 just for that comment....................... welcome to the new world Makka Smile

The only oral I'll be using from here on out will be adrol. Best all around oral in my opinion. Great for bulking and also prep. That is all I need an oral for. Well, maybe some halo for those last couple weeks also.

Can't help but agree with you about winni and Dbol

Pale's picture

Gave away all my Dbol, that shit dies not agree with me in any way. Never had winny

Edit. Read below that it was previously opened. I have some test suspension that I opened a couple months back. Only a couple ml left in it. I think I'll toss it since I won't be using it again for a few months. +2 for the heads up. Hopefully all goes well with your health bro

Ouch brother I had a ingrown hair on my butt cheek years and years ago I couldn't even sit on the one side I had to squeeze it once a hour so it wouldn't get more infected finally went to the doc and was given antibiotics and it went away in a week I was so relieved.good luck man I feel your pain

juiceball8082's picture

What is expired or water just doesn't last long?

Ronburgundy's picture

Good luck with the recovery--hopefully the antibiotics are all you need and you can avoid surgery. I'm leery of water-based injectables...too easy for bacteria to grow. Fortunately you don't see too many compounds in water--the only water-based gear I've ever had were winny and test suspension, but that was years ago.

I hope you fully recover and thank you for bringing this to peoples attention. I've had gear in the past that caused horrible pain and I was also hesitant to toss it. It's human nature to not want to toss your hard earned money in the trash. I finally had to snap out of it and realize that the $50 I paid for the vial was nothing compared to the possible doctor bills I might be facing if I continued to pin that shit.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Hopefully I can use this next time someone posts asking if they should use their expired gear. +1

damn man sorry to hear.. get well soon!!

Good advice, but how can you tell it went bad? Does water base suspension discolor, separate?

eastcoastmuscle's picture

I did a shot in right then a shot in left quad at 2 different times and both had infection , so seriously doubt it was caused by prep and the shot itself , so in my mind more then likely the culprit had to be the gear . No discoloration or any outward signs it was bad , it was just a few years old and the top was popped and had already been used at one time .

Ozninjaguy's picture

There's your answer. Once the top is popped you only have a limited amount of time before any gear goes off. Just by injecting air into the amp you can be injecting air-borne bacteria. I had a bottle of sterile water for injection in amongst my gear. Ran out of the most recent bottle and found the opened bottle. Was about to draw from it and noticed a black squiggle floating in it (like the floaters we see in our eyes) - figured it for some kind of bacteria and threw the bottle. Wasn't worth the risk. Thanks for your post - when injecting foreign material (gear) into our bodies we have to be extra careful.

greenlantrn2's picture

Got ya, I was really curious if there is a way you can see water suspension turn bad, never heard of what to look for.

Ozninjaguy's picture

I don't know about water-based AAS, but I understand that if an injectable medication is water-based and clear in colour - once it turns cloudy or opaque then it should not be used.
