TESTOSTERONE DEFICIENCY
I have been researching TD for a good while now as i remember someone dogging me when i 1st joined here when i stated TD can cause pre-mature death if not treated. So since my research started I have found almost every article about TD says something about pre-mature death. Now ive been aware since 2005 ive been a victim of TD but there are ways to treat this. Do you ever feel as if you dnt have the energy to deal with your everyday like??? Is it coming such a problem that your losing your urge to have sex or maybe feel a little embarressed that your gonna lose wood in the middle of sex so you just dnt have it? I have been there and as funny as it seems theres nothing funny about it, Ive spoke with quite a few members here that have dealt with TD that im sure will be more than happy to reply to this thread and give some input on how to go about getting treatment. Me I went to my local health department, I didnt even realize that I had TD I just knew I had lost all desire to have sex. I thought I was just skinny and thats the way it was. I had worked out without seeing hardly any results more than gettin a little cutt. Get on your grown man ( or woman) and take back control of your life. You dnt know what your missing until you see what you can become. I went to treatment and was started on a test-patch, had some strange side affects then was prescribed androgel. this stuff wasnt strong enough for me so i started injections. I am here to help anyone who needs it. check out this link

What do you think about this online screening @ http://www.healthism.com/screenings/do-i-have-testosterone-deficiency? Are these appropriate questions because I scored at high risk for testosterone deficiency.
Anonthings like these are not meant to be diagnostic tools but aids to help determine if you should go talk to a professional. Screening is just that a screen. If you scored high on the screen go see your doc.
I found this a good read, for some of you that hasnt been to a Dr. and are concerned what might be the cause of you TD symptoms, check this link out. My TD is related to genetics as ive dealt with it my entire life, late puberty was one of the 1st times I relized that something wasnt right. although I didnt have it checked out until my 20's I was told it was related to TD.

Yes, that is a good read. In trying to better understand td I ran across this article. While it isn't strictly dealing with td, it had much info I was unaware of. It seems to lean in favor of aas.

Very interesting man, do you realize how many people suffer from testosterone deficiency that don't even know they have it. I'm a sucker for a good read, the article has a bunch of good information. Good find dawg
Yeah - I bet the # of guys that have no clue they have low testosterone is higher than one would guess. I had been having symptoms ( not knowing it at the time ) for about 2 years, it wasn't till I started researching aas that I figured out what was going on. I asked the doc to check my levels (they'd never thought to do that) and whaddya know?? I don't know how many times I went to the doc complaining about symptoms but they never even checked my testosterone until I asked about it.
Jab.
Pump any guy that has Low Test level full of Prop and then ask him "how long has it been since you felt that good?", he will quickly figure out when they started to drop.
ETA: I've got mine narrowed down to 23 years ago tomorrow night. :(
Roflmao! You are right about that 100 percent homie.
.....23 years ago tomorrow night - LOL! That is "narrowed " down
It wasn't that hard !!

Holy ass dude!! That's freaking horrible. That makes my stomach hurt just looking at it.
Mine didn't till a week later.
Shock is a funny thing.
ETA: One of the funnier things was watching the cop run around looking for the driver of my truck, I kept wondering, "what are they looking for?".
AnonHas anybody thought to find out WHY they have testosterone deficiency?
My Endo said it is my pituitary gland not functioning. 46 years old. no test. tottal 88 and no LH hormone. Had ct scan and no tumor but he said it just happens to some people earlier. On test cyp shots 1ml every two weeks and WOW what a diff in life.
AnonI think you may find that after some time has passed the shot won't have the same effect that it once had.. What is the dosage around 200mg/ml?
Yes Watson 200mg/ml I have been on it for almost a year and yes that first few were crazy but I def can tell when its time for another shot. My wife LOVES it LOL. Now whats crazy ive seen posted before. I have to get my meds mail order they give me 3 10ml bottles for 90 days and say to throw away after 28 days when used. So wow I got all I need and the endo writes new script every visit. I never used AAS till this. Now I am down 50 lbs and my daughter actually said my arm was bent the other day it was my new found muscles. Only thing Im going to add is rip blend during the winter I want to drop another 30 lbs. Also since being on TRT I went from 3 diff blood press meds to 1/2 of one. My life has changed !!
Anonthat is fantastic to hear especially the weight loss and the ability to get off the medication
Congrats man,........................welcome to a better life.
I'm blaming it on feedlots.
AnonI was talking to the youngsters K.. especially those in their twenty's and early thirty's when they shouldn't be having low T issues yet..
Yup, me too.
I figure mine stared 22 year 11 months and approx 27 days ago.
But the youngsters,....feedlots,...cattle feedlots.
Let go get a slaughter ready steer and give it an Olympic Quality Steroid Test.
My money says it won't pass!!!
Anonactually that is what I was thinking too.. or medication of some sort. I was diagnosed pre menopausal in my early thirty's ... turned out the medication I was taking shut down my entire system and we didn't figure it out until last winter when I stopped taking the medication.. turns out I am just fine..relatively speaking.
BC Pills wouldn't help, steroids given to cows to make them give more milk, steroids in chickens and pig to grow them quicker.
Wait,.....if big business uses them they're called hormones.
Anontechnical term for ALL hormones is steriods..
Yes, but the gov, big business and the media only call them steroids if they want them to sound bad.
So the girls are getting boobs at 10, and the guys have low-T by 20.
That's great.....just great.
Well when I used that mismarked vial that contained Tren E, I said either my chest was getting more muscular or I was developing 14 yo bitch tits,.......was an exciting time either way.
Then of course there is the industrialized world we live in and the products we use like :Bisphenol A
i have low t as well popeboy, i just scored 127 they say normal range is 241-827 ng/dl
the doctor gave me a shot today of 300mg of test,,have to get 1 shot every 3 weeks,a total of 4 shots all together, then they do the blood work over again,
Average for your age is over 600, your doctor is out of date.
I alway have a problem with the "Less harm / more money" argument.
PARAD0XMaybe i too have that permanent low T problem.. Just finished my dbol/primobolan cycle, took the last 400mg primo 12 days ago. How long do you think i should wait before i go to my doc and ask for a blood test, to find out if i have natty low test level or not? Where i live you have to have a reason to get a blood test done, like if some kind of illness is suspected. So cant have my bloodwork done before and after cycle.
And forgive me for asking, because I don't know shit about cycles. When were you starting your PCT's ?
PARAD0XStarted first part of pct a couple of days ago with a shot of 2500ui HCG. Gonna do 2500ui every 5 days for 20 days. A bit late but better late than never. Maybe 20 days after last primo injection i will start taking 20mg nolvadex or 50mg clomid ed for about a week or so. Reason i dont do em for longer is that last time, my vision started getting blurred. I then read about short and long time side effects of nolvadex, and decided to stop for my own safety.
Chances are the Dr. will test for more than serum Test levels, where and how the other compounds will show up is out of my league.
ETA: I can just see the Dr. look at the blood test and say,..."wow,...look at those levels, it's got to be prostrate cancer", ...before you can explain they have you under and in surgery.
PARAD0XYeah but i dont really care if they find anything else. Gonna tell doc ive been having erection problems with girls the last couple of years, but while on dianabol it was like the old boy could stand and keep standing again, the elevated test levels must have caused that, so i must have a natty lov test level. Reason i ask for how long i should wait before i go get that blood test, is im not shure when my hormone levels have gone back to normal again after cycle is finished.
I'll let somebody else answer how long on that type of cycle.
I will say that normally there are alot more symptom than just Private Johnson not reporting for duty as ordered.
I found out not too long ago I am in the low T gang also. I'd been having symptoms for about a couple years b4 a doc confirmed it. They had put me on 200mg/wk injections for 4 or 6(can't remember ) weeks and was suppose to get retested after that. BUT! I had started my current cycle then so I haven't been back. I guess after my levels go back down I'll head back to the doc and go from there. Im kinda torn about going back really tho (to the doc). Just kinda concerned about how it may all play out insurance wise. Lots of good info in thi thread - kudos my low t brethern.
jab.
I copied this from a response I gave to a guy who was asking about TRT in another thread today. This is what happened when I went to see a Urologist on 10/14/2011 see below.
I hope this helps. I am 37 years old and just received a script for Testosterone from a doctor after going to my general doctor. My bound levels were 390 and free was 80. Now I took those results to a urologist at a well known college of medicine. I had not been feeling myself for around 18 months. I have used Testosterone to give my workouts a boost over the last 20 years but no more than two cycles in 18 months using only Testosterone either in Enanthate form or Cypionate usually Brovel or Quality Vet brand and moderate doses. By the way my general doctor felt that my levels were normal even though no doctor knows what normal is. The urologist I am seeing is well respected in the medical community and is in the middle of groundbreaking research. He is the lead professor for this college.I did not need a referral due to the fact that it is a school of medicine as well. The first young doc that saw me was in residency and asked what my symptoms were. I said fatigue, depression, lack of erection, which all to a certain extent is true and correct as well as it being more difficult to not gain fat. He said that no one in the medical community can possibly know what normal is and in order for them to know we would all have to be tested 2 times a year from 18 and up and that even with that every person is different. He said I need Testosterone therapy. I said I could not use the gel being that I have 4 young ones at home which I do. I was written a script for Testosterone Cypionate @200mgs a week and had 2 refills making a total of 3 bottles and a script for 50 syringes as well. Now according to the pharmacy and the FDA the bottle once opened is no good after 28 days. Meaning that my insurance will fill it every 28 days. So 200 mgs a week for 4 weeks leaves 1200 millgrams excess a month. I pinned 600 mgs my first time and will go down to 400 a week. I will stop at 2 weeks prior to my appointment in December to lower my blood levels to not cause an alarm. At least that is the plan. Also to address a question many may have I told him that a weekly booster just was not feasible due to the proximity of his office to my home. I hope this helps.
I dont think 2 weeks will be long enough I may have to stop sooner than that. Any response would be appreciated on this.
Easy way to check all the basics, serum test level, estro, lh and fsh is to go to privatemd labs and buy the female hormone panel test for $60. Then go to your nearest lab corp lab and in a day or so you get your results. Great for all stages of your cycle and/or if you just want a baseline to compare too. Its also a place to start to bring to your doc depending on results. Of course they'll want more in depth diagnostics but at least you can get the ball rolling.

http://www.mens-hormonal-health.com/cause-of-low-testosterone.html
according to this link my levels were lower then a 100 year old
i am on trt and im only 27 my levels were 214 and normal range is 249-850
it took me a couple years to find the problem.i was anxious as fuck 24/7 depressed and tired.all of those symptms have gotten much better in the year i have been on trt.i did my first cycle 6 months in i figured i couldnt fuck my levels up more then they are:) im probably one of the guys you would say i did a cycle too early but with real low levels of T its almost impossible to build muscle also my doc does not seem to know much about it.the dose he started me on was 100mg test cyp every 2 weeks.I upped my dose on my own too 200 mg per week
thanks
I'm going to stay out of this thread till I feel up to it.
(& you guy probably only know half of it, when your mind/brain starts to shut down from low T levels,........get back to me.)
tread-mI talk a lot with the guys my age about it but I have a few I talk to who are young and it is very real. These docs as Rod pointed out just dont get it. Its like medical does not address the issue and unless you have an actual HRT doc or an endocrinologist at your side you're screwed! My point has been simple, when do you normally see the huma n body start going to shit? Its about age 30 right? So a little thinking is all someone needs, what is occuring at 30 as this happens....hormones are changing! So as we hit 30 and the only real change is hormone levels as it pertains to testosterone mainly then. Does it not make sense to correct that problem? As you peopl?e around you it is apparent from one year to the next that they get fatter and they get lazier and the next thing you know they are at the Christmas get together telling you they are on bp meds and or type 2 diabetic or being evaluated for this or that. Talked about this before but just look at people you know, the people my age are just setting around talking and cramming their mouths full at family functions and just seem like its a workout to even get back up to put some crackers and summer sausage on their plate! Then when they do they go set back down and let out this long sigh as though they had just finished a 10k! Lol. Its hormones man, everything good or bad that happens in the body is directly linked to that place where all reaction in the body occurs. This is a good post because it tells the younger guys that you are. not alone and you dont have to feel like its just you. No matter what your age, if things dont feel right then they are not right! As to Rods point of docs not wanting to test, you can find independent labs, many of them do pre-employment screening and/or screen for companies such as life insurance companies. You can call around and price the different panels and its not too bad, a little harder to find those that test igf-1 but they are there. As well, there are kits for self checks on the internet. Just do what you need to do to feel good whether you are 25 or 65....there is a better way as pope and others will tell you. Its even tougher for some of these older guys. Medicine has made us think that you are just supposd to feel worse every year and sometimes it is so gradual that many dont even notice the changes. When you see that guy your age and he is very active and has plenty of eneegy and looks vibrant all the time, well thats who you can be if you have a good balance in hormone...dont wait and dont lt doc put you on another med to mask your lack of livelyhood...GET CHECKED!
AnonSeriously good info there bro, if i had found this post a year ago i wouldnt be going through my first middle life crisis now
Labs are not so much of a problem i can get those one way or another, a good endo is something i will never find. Only way is going private and that will cost. I have seen some self tests you can do and send the bloods through post? Can you draw your own blood or is it something complicated? I know about the saliva tests but those give a vague idea. Also i think my probs were related more to high estro than low test. Thats why i need to get me a good endo on board
tread-mYeah Rods good points.m i have not done mail testing but I have heard of those doing so. I think, not positve, I saw a post about it somewhere here. No I think saliva tests would be an "indicator" if dome frequently for the fluctuation but certainly would not rely on them much. The estrgen ratio is a real good point ! Testing is just a good idea for everyone, hear you on cost though for sure. Where I am it seems like the full panel combination was around 400 ish. I may post the questions if I cant find them here already.
TRT should ideally be monitored by an endocrinologist
Anytime an androgenic or anabolic substance is added to the body there is an inherent risk of side effects such as increased hemocrit, LDL cholesterol, elevated blood pressure etc which can have a deleterious effect on well being and long term health and longevity

No Shit Sherlock
AnonI had those exact signs since i was 27. I started steroids out of desparation not for the purpose of bodybuilding, i was anti steroids all my life and i loved my natty gains. Good call on getting on TRT only reason i havent admit defeat yet is cause i havent run blood tests to prove my defficiency. All the signs are there though and i was blaming it on cigarrets and beeing skinny lol. Also nowdays TD hasnt got anything to do with age, if you search online you will see people at the age of 23 that are on TRT, bad nutrition/life all have come back to bite us.
I was pretty young when i noticed my strive to get it in was vanishing, i was living with an ex-girlfriend then that I should have been rocking that ass to sleep but i just had no urge, in fact there was quite a few times i knew she wanted to have sex and i just rolled over and went to sleep. I was like fuck that im tired as hell!!!! now days I have a lil different scenerio, im more like, yeah i better get this one out so i can get a good night sleep lol. but really, noshitsherlock has a point, people do need to monitored while they are doing replacement therapy but as for me, Ive done it for so long i know the drill. plus im not paying $400 a script for something just because i dnt have insurance when i can come on here and get the same thing they offer. Im not trying to discourage anyone because I think they need to go get treatment. this is just my personal choice.
AnonTrust me bro if there was a doc that could monitor me i would be in trt ages ago. Here in the UK you go for blood tests and you end up with a script for antidepressants, sleepers whatever makes your fancy but certainly not a blood test. I was once asked by my doctor "Why do you work out" i was like wtf, to keep healthy! If i dont pay tonnes of cash to go private there is no chance for safe monitoring here. Also if you manage to convince them for bloods you never get the results all you get is "They were good" or "You need to come have a chat with the nurse". In a way it is good cause i am still coming off the juice even if it is pointless. At least i know after a few weeks i will be back to normal, before it was year round
