Test CYP
ad
If Someone was to take 100 to 150 mg of test CYP or even up to 200mg just a TRT amount a week. the only reason they want to take it is to feel better in general.raise their testosterone level from a 400 to a better level. And they're not looking to bodybuild. Just feel better. Would that be safe to do? And if that person decided to get off of it, would the natural testosterone naturally pick back up, within a few weeks or no? Unless an AI is used maybe.

I think if I were this person, I would take a couple of tests just to make sure the test levels are low. I might even adjust my workout to maximize my test levels and then take a second blood test.
If after that, and the test levels are low, I’d evaluate how that fella is feeling. Where is his sex drive, how is his recovery time, is he seeing.signs of low-t?
Then I’d evaluate weather or not this guy can afford to be on trt and if he’s willing to be married to it for the rest of his life.
When I started, I was religious about cycling on and running a clean pct. The first fee cycles my test levels rebounded….Except the free test did not rebound as easy. A few cycles in..the rebound was much less. If this dude is 50..I wouldn’t bet on a full rebound.
Another thing I would look at. Will this dudes doc set him up with a clean trt protocol. I know a lot of bros who tested in the 400’s whos doc put them on a shitty gel or a very low level of test…who ended up getting in the 400’s after trt,
They wonder why they feel like shit…their doc did them dirty.
Greg’s comment is spot on.
Greg has been around for a very long time. Back when he sailed to America and landed on Plymouth Rock they didn’t even have trt. He’s got that old man wisdom.
No, no homo?
If you checked your levels in the morning as you should have 400 is probably your low or near low level. For all you know, 800 is your high; 600 your median.
Exogenous testosterone suppresses your own natural production. So, you'll kill your nuts on TRT crashing your 400 to 800 natural levels to zero, only to be saddled with the maintenance of exogenous test to get your levels to somewhere back around 600 as a median.
In short, you accomplish nothing, and you'll be mutilating your body in the process.
The older you are and the longer you stay on TRT, the less likely you'll bounce back, even with an AI. You'll be stuck with TRT for life.
Thanks Greg I appreciate the honesty...thanks everyone for all the proper insight
Or let's say he did a TRT amount decided to get off...he would need to tapper off over a few weeks to try and get his body to regulate..based off what you mentioned that doesn't seem to be what would happen. Maybe he would go back to 300-400 I don't know.. I know what I do is what I do but I'm not trying to set him up for failure so I'm trying to get him solid advice and feedback for him.
Tapering dose won’t do anything. As long as exogenous test is being pinned you natty test production will stay shut down. Need to come off completely to try and restore natty production
Retiring is possible..how long would you say it would take as soon as you get off...and go natty
A lot of depends on how long he was pinning test. Couple of weeks on then could probably recover in a month or two without a pct. Couple months or more and the possibility of not recovering without a pct is much more likely especially for an older person whose HPTA is likely fragile to begin with. Even with a proper pct recovery could be iffy for older folks Best to get test levels checked to see if trt is actually warranted. The HPTA gets pretty fragile as we get older and just a temporary interruption with exogenous test can be enough to break it for good
Ok yes I'm asking for someone else not myself. This person is in there late 50s and I figured I would ask the question and see what responses I got. To better inform him.
