+ 1 So if runner athlete dont run anything so then what is doping ?

ad

So in my last thread most of users say u dont need to run any stacks for running because you will gain more weight ! So if this is true what is doping ? We hear everyday one runner busted because of using steroid or doing doping .. So does that mean no one in here knows what do they use ?

In my opinion, blood doping is a negative connotation that is used by people who have a hard time understanding the REAL reason why people train, which is to get better.

What are you doing to get faster? What're your goals?? What's a typical training week look like for you?? How far away from your target race are you? Have you taken any steroids in the past??

I listed almost every possible thing they could use in the last thread! What else do you want???

You've got some questions to answer if you want any real help. You didn't answer shit in the other thread you started. Give us something to work with

It's best to live at high altitude and train at lower altitude but you pretty much nailed it. Good post

The facility is probably at altitude to ensure that the athletes get the recommended amount of altitude exposure necessary to produce a positive physiological response. That doesn't mean it's necessary for them to train at altitude. Makes more sense than having them spend a bunch of time locked up in a altitude tent, lol

ive always understood that high altitude is best for training so that when you come down there is more oxygen and you are able to perform at a higher level, per se

J.Mc.'s picture

High altitude is best for stimulating the body to produce more RBC's which enable an athlete to get more oxygen to working muscles. Training at high altitude will not allow endurance athletes to hit the high intensities that they could if they trained at lower altitude so its not always best to train at high altitude. You wanna reap the benefits of both so it's best to live high, train low

Yes, high altitude stimulates erythropoietin in the bone marrow. Colorado Springs is where they trained for the Olympics. Then, that same year they brought them down to Atlanta, GA. I can imagine the rush. Also, ranchers in Colorado turn their cows out in higher altitudes (ie) for this same reason. It makes the beef we eat taste better and helps the growth of the cows.

The kidneys produce erythropoietin and stimulates the bone marrow to produce more RBC's...

Didn't know that about Colorado livestock

Doping is a very large word, endurance athletes can use for exemple pain killer like advil or aleve before a race, it pushes the limite of what you can endure before quiting or slowing down, it's certainly not recomended since you can end up colapsing dead in the middle of the race.

Runner can run PEDs. alot of them have been found guilty of using AAS (testostrone) and other PEDs

OmNom's picture

What?? Uh... yeah if you want to run faster and longer you would want to take steroids.. It's not the stack but the dosages.. you keep the dosing lower to avoid too much weight gain.. This goes for both sprinters and long distance runners

GETBIG1988's picture

Let's compare long distance runners to sprinters. Long distance runners look like they are all skin and bones compared to sprinters who have large quads glutes and calves. I would say sprinters deff juice and long distance runners do blood transfusions

Pelon's picture

Doping is when they take out their blood prior to the race and then load up on it right before to help with endurance

nobody here i would believe would say they aren't good for running. some roids yes will cause endurance to go down but there are also some GREAT for endurance such as equipose
roids won't necessarily make you gain weight, if you don't eat thru right foods and watch your estrogen level you could im sure stay the same weight about shoot or even lose

Yelp, Var is a no go just like we told him in the last thread..
