+ 1 slightly elevated 5.5 hba1c on 6iu gh
Started on 4iu in December. Went up to 6iu a month ago today.
My hba1c while natty in 2023 was 5.0
I recently started checking my fasted glucose levels and noticed some days I’m 103ish. Most days I’m around 95
I work second shift. Last meal beef broccoli and mixed veggies with a couple tortillas at 3am.
sleep at 5am wake up and check it at 12:30
I take 6iu around 430am shortly before bed.
Unfortunately I never checked my hba1c since 2023 when it was 5.0 but I checked it yesterday because I was a little concerned about the fasted glucose levels approaching prediabetic ranges on some days. Came back at 5.5 which is still in range but barely. 5.7-6.4 is considered prediabetic
I was wanting the opinions of someone with more experience than me.
My plan is to add 1000mg berberine (500mg am and 500mg pm) for now and keep the dose at 6iu
Keep monitoring my fasted glucose levels and in about 10-12 weeks check my hba1c again and see if it’s improved.
If not then I’ll be forced to lower the dose or cease the hgh all together? Thanks in advance for any insight

I just had a similar issue on my bloodwork. 4 IUs HGH nightly, 3+ hrs since my last meal, before bed. Been on since last October. Recent bloodwork via my TRT endocrinologist showed my fasting glucose went from 89 to 101, which while low, is technically pre-diabetic.
My thoughts instantly went to the HGH. My plan was to simply titrate down, from 4 IU, to 2 IUs, and see what my next bloods look like, and go from there.
In everyone's experience here, is metformin really necessary?
Did you check hba1c? Im staying at 6iu and going to try berberine 500mg x2 and see if i can bring it down a little that way. Berberine supposedly is very comparable to metformin for glucose management from what ive read. And it’s available otc on amazon. Worth looking into your diet too. I do eat a lot of carbs. 400g a day and work crazy hours so that all can contribute to a little higher than normal levels from my understanding
I’m generally low carb or keto, so clearly the HGH is doing something to me
I’m sure it will go away when I stop, I guess I’m just asking / hoping that it will go away if I drop my dose…
Not 100% sure but that will be my last ditch effort (lowering the dose) if I can’t take more drugs to fix the glucose issues lol
Isn't this why guys sometimes take Metformin when they start raising HGH levels upwards?
Yes you’re right
but berberine(there are other compounds too) is bodybuilder friendly while metformin isn’t, despite studies I have personal experiences with both and can ensure that study matches reality IMHO.

Correct. I’m going to try berberine first it’s supposed to be very similar in how it affects glucose levels. If that doesn’t work my next step will be metformin. But I just wanted to hear others advice or opinions who maybe have much more experience and knowledge than I do regarding this
I'm not a HGH user so wasn't 100% sure, but was certain I'd heard it being used in those circumstances a fair number of times. I use to run DBol inject constantly for long periods, and that nearly had my HbA1c into the prediabetic range on 1 occasion and I was crapping myself - I cut down a lot on the Dextrose powder I was putting into drinks and it soon fell surprisingly on the next test. Its an area you do not want to be as from what I read its tough to climb back out of if you get too far in. Bit like @anvil butt according to @Stokes500
His butt only seems big because I have a small dick to someone packing serious meat it would be a nice snug fit
Umbro you can’t text that!
anvilHe definitely can...and did
anvilSLU pp 332 helped me lower HbA1c. @press1 I wish you were straighter.
anvilI only really eat white rice as my carb source but I have no issues currently. If diet is good then you might have to lower or try changing time of day or split the dose.
What was it before and after using slu pp 332?

Yea for sure I’d like to mitigate any and all risks before I get into prediabetic ranges for sure if at all possible
