This is one of those posts that make me feel like it's just ai bots meant to keep the forum section going lol. There is no simple answer to a question such as this due to the amount of variables involved and lack of specifics given. Every person is different. It all depends on diet, intensity of training, supplements implemented, amount of rest, type of training and personal genetics. There is no exact answer to this question. Personally, I work each muscle group once weekly. Chest day, back day, arms/traps day, legs day and an intense crossfit style cardio day for a total of 5 days weekly with ab work and calf work added in a minimum of 4 of those days and fasted cardio for 25 min Sat and Sun morn. I change my routines as far as the exercises I do for each muscle group weekly and focus on fast twitch exercises every 3rd week. This is what works for me for my specific goals. Everyone has their own. I also train in Jujitsu Wednesdays and Saturdays. It's all about what works for you.
Yup. This is the ultimate “it depends” question. You can train theoretically every day if intensity and volume are low enough. This raises many questions:
How intense are you training? To or very close to failure?
What is your diet looking like?
Sleep?
How long have you been training? Newbies get away with a lot more being they really aren’t even strong enough to do considerable enough damage to inhibit recovery.
Extra curricular activities besides training?
I can keep going. These questions need to be more specific for anyone to answer. Bunch of bot bs
Facts!
Every set is to failure lol, I’m probably overdoing it I’m going to switch it up a bit
Yeah I agree it’s a bit of a dumb question. I hit every muscle group 4x a week and basically I’m wondering if I’m overdoing it.
I grow hitting each muscle group twice a week with high intensity training. You are enhanced you don’t need a recovery day per say. Just rest days of not going back at the same muscle group the next day.
Well technically I give 48 hours in between because I’ve been hitting upper body eod
My split is:
Chest/Biceps
Legs/accessory of whatever I want more volume in
Triceps/shoulder/Back
Rinse and repeat
So push pull legs. I’m considering that
Sounds like your definitely overdoing it if your going to failure every set and hitting each group 4x week. The muscles need time to rest, heal and refuel. Don't wanna build up scar tissue.
I agree. I’ve only been doing this for about a month. I do upper lower split and I used to put 2 days of rest between each upper or lower workout. I’ll probably go back to that or maybe try ppl
Try it for a couple weeks. See how your lifts go as far as strength. If your not feeling it switch up and keep doing so till your feeling your strength increase. Just remember, your muscles get used to a routine very rapidly so keep changing up on your movements. Continuously tricking your muscles combined with proper feeding creates growth and strength. Try switching to fast twitch movements every few weeks as well and you'll see more explosive momentum. Everything works together thru out your body from top to bottom when it comes to muscle and that's all the way down to fast and slow twitch fibers. They all assist each other so hitting those different fibers and keeping them guessing leads to strength and size.
You need proper nest and diet
My diets locked in, I get about 6 hours of sleep each night because I work 6 days a week. But I don’t feel sore ever…
Might need to switch workout routine I do every 2-3 months
