+ 1 Question about testosterone cypionate. Please Help!

ad

I am a 43 year old male on TRT at 110 mg of testosterone cypionate per week. I am getting good results. However, I want to do a cycle where I take 250mg per week until my 10mL vial runs out. My problem is I get labs for my TRT every couple of months and I don't want my doctor to see abnormal lab results. So, how long before labs should I stop the high dose so my labs reflect TRT levels and not steroid cycle levels? testosterone cypionate has a half life of 8 days so I was thinking I could stop the large dose two weeks before labs? What do you think?

Add propionate it will leave your system fast

I do 250 a week. I stopped for a week and a half and my numbers dropped back down.

If youre lean currently anavar 50 milligrams split morning and night for six weeks. Nice strength boost but heavily dependant on tight diet and proper macros.

When you say every couple of months is that every three months?
If it is you should be able to go heavy the first month but I wouldn’t go heavy after that.
To play it safe, skip your last shot one week prior to the test and tell your doc you took the last shot two days before the test.
I think better advice is…find a better trt doc. Lol. 110 mg/week is shitty. I think even the big box trt clinics give at least 150/week. The good docs….and there are plenty of good docs..give 200 mg/week. That’s max they can do. I have a buddy that goes an online trt clinic that will go 200 mg per week of test C, and up to 200 mg per week of prop. Anything more than 200 throws up red flags for doctors.
Hell his trt doc has prescribed him Anavar and Deca. Lol.
Maybe he’s not legal….My buddy says it’s legal? Lol.
At any rate, I think when it comes to trt, consistency is king. I’d even suggest splitting the dose and pinning twice a week. When you start getting inconsistent your body starts to produce a higher level of Red blood cells. You need to monitor that. If they run your bloods and the Hematocrit is too high, they will cut you off the trt until you drop it usually by blood donation . Just curious at 110 mg/week, where does that normally put your blood levels?

Other labs are great, estrogen, prolactin, hematocrit, etc. So I am responding well. I think my doc is pretty good she goes off my labs and how I feel. She increased me to 120 when my levels were good and I felt okay, she wanted to see my Free T get on the high end.

For now I am getting tested every six weeks since I am a new patient. But she will eventually do every 3-6 months. My next labs are February so I guess I will try a cycle after that. I started at 100mg per week intramuscular split at 50 mg every 3.5 days. I did well on this but she increased me to 120 to get my Free T higher. Here are my trough levels at 100mg per week.
Total T 868 ng/dL (Range 264-916 ng/dL)
Free T 15.7 pg/mL (Range 6.8-21.5 pg/mL)

Second I was taking 120mg per week intramuscular split at 60 mg every 3.5 days. Here is my blood work at my trough.
Total T 985 ng/dL (Range 264-916 ng/dL)
Free T 19.2 pg/mL (Range 6.8-21.5 pg/mL)

She lowered me to 110mg per week split every 3.5 days. As you can see my trough was high total. I feel great. For the first time in my life I am seeing results from lifting weights and have my metabolism back. My thought was if I just increased my dose to 250mg per week it would not be an outrageous dose with bad side effects. I just don't want to mess with my regular labs so my prescription is changed!

The numbers look good. I 100% agree with DeeMan. It really does come back to how you feel.

Damn those numbers are looking good. The main thing is how the dose makes you feel. Glad you're enjoying. I think lipids would be affected at 250mg/ week unfortunately. HDL would decrease a bit.

How long have you been on TRT for?

coffro80's picture

Since August 2023.

getting tested every couple of months or so , then no way you can run a successful cycle with long esters. You said you are getting good results now, so if it ain't broke don't try to fix it. Learn about tweaking diet to dictate results at this stage of the game. Gains are always made in the kitchen first. Remember that more is not necessarily better, often times it leads to more side effects with little to show.
