Psychology of Anabolics
ad
I was wondering if you guys could share your experiences on how your psychology has changed when introducing anabolics. I have heard stories that it increases an individual’s energy/motivation in other areas of life outside the gym. Has this benefitted you in areas such as business and entrepreneurship prehaps?

Well since low test levels are associated with lethargy and loss of sex drives, you can pretty much assume the opposite when you're taking test.
I used to be really overweight and socially awkward, while I was doing my master's degree during cycle, I was at my peak physique and thus felt really good. I kind of turned into a social butterfly.
Don't think it was purely the steroids though, a change in physique often goes hand in hand with increased confidence and a better approach to strangers and colleagues.
I would generally recommend to stay away from compounds that mess with your psychology. I don't think we have quite discovered whether some compounds are able to change your brain chemistry in the long-run.
RustyhookerGood seeing you back!
AnonI find, for me, that when i set my 'program' to medium hot, it levels my life out and i really 'lean into things.'
In real life, when not a superhero, there is a real manic component to my personality. Temperamental, passionate, high highs, low lows...sometimes.
In my regular life, most doses are '1 amp' or 'some's good, more's better.' (For those that know me, this isnt a joke.) As a superhero, 'add more tren' is almost always the answer...do be aware, there is a breakover point...and that motherfucker is a razor's edge between 'on point and banging all cylinders' and ruin (of every aspect of my nearly perfect life.)
RustyhookerPsychology....ive been the same grouchy midget for decades. But psych time....tren. This cycle i was happy and focused. Last...edgy. Before that....freak nightmares and tren-somnia. Thats the psychology and reasoning theres no one sized answer.
Thanks for the answers guys. I would agree definitely guys who start the anabolics/TRT route due to low test will feel a very positive boost. It's medicine for them at the end of the day.
Hormones play a big part on mood though, so it surprises me when people who had normal test levels and boost them to supraphysiological levels say they don't feel much from a cycle. Take for example after sex, men usually have less energy/motivation afterwards due to the rise in prolactin etc. Everyone says they usually get a huge rise in sex drive when on a cycle. Therefore, I would have thought that increase in sexual energy could have translated into increased drive in other areas of life (unless you get rid of the energy by beating your dick like he owes you money). I know for myself personally, when my sex drive is highest, I am more productive. Then I get laid a few times and it seems to really sap my motivation in other areas of my life for a few days while I recharge.
If anyone wants to share any more of their experiences that would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
Tonyb121985I was in a bad place. It was after many anti depressive meds and self medication using narcotics to get a feeling of some pleasure. I was numb the time but when I abused drugs it just made things worst when I tried to stop. I eventually became completely sober and I was able to have some form of “feelings”. I recognize my addictive personality means I do things and I do until it’s done and go OVERBOARD. That’s the definition of an addict right? So why not apply that to working out ? Every sober addict says it’s like getting high, plus wh o doesn’t want to look and feel healthier? Well I felt none of the above until My doctor put me on TRT. It has been a live safer discovering these medications that don’t “get you high” but can make a HUGE difference in your everyday life. Mentally I’m still humble and not a cocky asshole as some would assume steroid would do, but I am confident enough about myself to feel happy.
Trt pretty much has got me off SSRI's and has killed 95% of all anxiety.
Didn't change a thing for me but I've only done testosterone cycles. It bring out a little bit more aggression but mainly in the gym never noticed it outside of training but other than that nothing.
No change for me unless you count TRT making me feel like my old self again.
I feel like test doesn't really do much psychologically unless you're going from low test to normal/high does of test.
Alexiotopagree, test without change but only tren changes me
Have you ever had a hot chick flirt with you? How was your confidence afterwards? Have you ever did something you thought you couldn't? Drugs are drugs, they become psychological when you believe it's where you get your confidence from. AAs didn't give me any more confidence than I had before, the only thing it did was bring out a little more aggression. Never let a drug convince you anything as it's the drugs talking.
