As an offshoot to hiVolt post about "contributing tags", I had an idea that may be good for everyone and might help the big man out with the server or even new features to this place. We all love it and want to see it head in the right direction. So ,....Eroids will never be a paid site. BFG has said this time and time again. There was once a donate button at the top of the task bar but it's been gone a while. Let's treat this like a petition and your comments will be a signature. Enough signatures and maybe we can get it back. How much do you love eroids? Enough to contribute a few bucks? $5, $10, $20?? It has saved us all a lot of time and money by protecting us from scammers. Show your appreciation.

Benny BlancoThis site terrified me when I first joined. It made it look like I had to be a damn doctor just to run juice. After a while, a lot things just started to click. Anyway, I think this site has changed the life of any regular member. Thanks for your input, Winny.

AnonOk I see a third post (not this one) has popped up on this subject. I've seen some cool ideas. I've seen the exact same idea just posted with the words in different order. I've seen goodwill behind the idea of giving being questioned. If you have a tag that specifies an amount then well Ahhh whatever Ahhh it's not good manners to let people know. Also well people won't come to the site anymore. Well I said I wanted feed back. I got it I guess. I believe my inability to get what's in my head out in a way that's understood has fucked me again here. I didn't know how to say it so I used formats I've seen on various pay sites. It's like this, I remember when the advertisings got pulled and there was some panic as to what to do. That's been a while now but I thought about it. Then I thought damn, what if he did close up. So anyway I think it's going in circles now. Let's talk about something else. Like ahhhhh......I'm ABOUT TO GET BIG AS HELL AND KICK YOUR ASSES IN THE EBC!!!!!! WHAT?!? :-P

I would be down to make a donation from time to time. As carlos said though, I wouldn't want anyone knowing that I donated or how much. I think donating is a good idea. However I would think that the fees that the sources pays help a lot with servers and such. I could be completely wrong though.

AnonIm going to try and word this right. First I feel like a brown noser(wait I'm Mexican)for publicly saying I would wholeheartedly donate. Secondly, I wouldn't want people to know whether I did donate or didn't. Especially how much I did donate. Donating and expecting some brownie button isn't my style.(this is more geared towards the hivolt idea of contributor tags) I always say that when I have donated for whatever cause that I do it because it's important to me. I don't do it for anything in return. Now if there's some sort of business to be made and I donate financially or some services then of course I want my name recognized. This doesn't really fall into those lines IMO. So yes of course I'm down but the last thing I want is anyone to know.
Benny BlancoI'm the same way. I think the tag might be a cool idea, but I donate to different charities and causes all the time. I just do it because I feel it's the right thing to do, not because I want recognition.

I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not. Not that I wouldn't pay (depending on how much we're talking about) because I do love this site. The reason being is because if I stumbled across this site and seen that it cost money I probably wouldn't be a member today. After being on here learning, making friends, being able to express my opinion, and simply the camaraderie amongst us I would pay within reason to stay. On one hand though I think it would detour a lot of kids but on the other it would probably detour new quality members. I also think that if it does become a pay to play site that it should be a flat membership fee because if it weren't there would be a mess of problems. Double standards would be an issue or at least the perception of them. The whole gold, silver, bronze, VIP would be terrible. You would have some good guys just making their way and getting by that can only afford the bronze and vise versa. There would be some real pieces a crap that have money and can afford the gold or VIP. I just don't think it's a great idea. I'd be ok because I do alright for myself but I'm sure there are those not as fortunate that are good guys and valuable members. I also think it would hurt the sources business with a decline in business. Ultimately its business and if BFG thinks there's money to be made by doing this then he will make it happen. I believe up front he would make more money but in the long run it's very possible that eroids will suffer in the end...... So in summation my vote is no. I think it should remain a free site!
Benny BlancoThis is more about an option to give back to a site that many of us have gained so much from. Nothing mandatory whatsoever. It will always remain a free site according to BFG.
I believe you can give back to the site by being a quality member. Help the new people so that they want to stay and not go anywhere else. Make this a place that people want to hangout at and they trust. Help it evolve!
I'm down for donations but I do believe the big boss man decided against that for his own reasons in that thread a while ago when we brought it up vs advertisements and whatnot

I am kinda surprised everybody didn't chime in.
We've discussed donations before when the Google ads were discontinued. It's not happening for a reason that only the main man (BFG) knows and nobody else. He's obviously a very intelligent man who knows his business. I'm sure the majority of us wouldn't have a problem paying a membership fee, I know I would in a heartbeat to keep all this knowledge and information a click away. If it came down to that my honest opinion would be to do it through some type of credit card where an age verification would be possible so we can start blocking people that are barely legal driving age. I would put up 50 bucks a month instantly if I had the assurance that if someone barely out of grade school couldn't have mommy and daddy start a law suit or investigation into our business after they hurt themselves or get in trouble for doing something stupid (which is a common occurrence these days). I wish every day when I log on that there would be some type of age verification.
I'm in, only if we can have a yearly reunion, this ole Jarhead would luv to stomp some brain cells with many of brothers here, and dance with hardbodygrrl :). Bfg will. have to sell the eroids van for a few busses, no worries Ed you still get the keys and wheel brother. seriously tho if ever was a need I'd contribute.
I'm for it but I think BFG has his reasons for running his house like this. Eroids is bargain for members and sources alike. Think about it. Members have access to info and sources that wouldn't exist without eroids. Sources pay a fee but it's insignificant compared to the sales they generate because of E. Lots of opportunities to increase revenue on here but like I said I am sure BFG has his reasons.
My life consist of gym,work, my girl and eroids..I'd be in for sure. Its just like any other established membership you would have, just like the NRA. I have a membership and pay my yearly dues.. you pay for what you love.this site is more than a place to bullshit about juice..its a college class on anabolics, you can learn so much through some of the members in the eroids family.
Definitely everything you said. I knew a lot of guys that would have been more than happy to pay for all this knowledge if it were even available back in day.
