New cycle

ad

Let's say you're in your early 50s and you've been Lifting for quite some time, done some Cycles in the past, over the last 6-7 years kind of got out lifting but kept a good diet ,have been and currently on HRT 200mg a week plus an ai for about 11 years now. I want to get back into heavy lifting and to start getting more of the bodybuilding look from younger years,at what age do you think it's too old to get back into it if any at all?

Early 50s is not too late, but too late is rapidly approaching so the best time to start is right now. Lifting and eating for size that is. Obviously best to avoid steroids all together but if you’re going to do id id be real conservative with the doses and compounds. If you’ve had muscle in past it should come back quick. I assume it still works like that to some extent in your 50s lol. Especially with healthy test levels as you have. An anti aging dose of GH is something to consider eventually, 1-2ius a day.

But you’ve been on 200mg a week for 11 years? Is that Dr prescribed? That’s very high dose. Constant high test is not great for your cardio vascular system. 200mg would have most people north of 1200ng/dl. I’m on 150mg a week and my last blood test 5 days after my last shot had me at 722. So I’m probably closer to 1000 a day or two after my shot. I’m probably going to drop down to 100 or 125mg as long as I keep feeling as good as I do now. Goal is always least amount that keeps your feeling good.

No I should clarify that about the last 11 years I've been on trt Dr prescribed yes it was 175 mg every 2 weeks about a month the place I go to well it's an online HRT service they put me on 200 mg a week 100 mg every third day as well as a AI to go with that that's only been going on for about a month now but I have taken breaks in between that constant HRT to give my system a chance to bounce back. Previously when I used to take HRT insurance covered it that doctor retired and now going through a online Clinic it's not covered that shit's expensive so that's why I'm looking at other alternatives and I want to get back into a good lifting routine starting too slowly but I know that age is catching up to me real quick so I need to do it now or never.

Ya online cash pay clinics aren’t cheap. You don’t have to take the full 200mgs they prescribe you. I’d see how you feel at 100mgs a week. Less is more with TRT, and gear in general. Probably want your total test around 500-600ng/dl at that age.

You couldn’t get your primary to take over your long standing TRT script?

You’re already on a mild cycle right now at 200mg a week. You can grow on that dose no problem with proper diet and training. If you’ve been out of the lifting game for years now I’d get your diet and training dialed now, grow as much as you can over the next year on your current dose and then consider a higher dosed cycle if you still aren’t happy with where you’re at. But if you just got your dose bumped up to 200 a month ago the next 3 you should really hit it hard. That’s when you’ll get the most growth out of this new dose. After 3 months or so on it I’d drop down to 100mg a week, which will still have you feeling way better than the 175mg every 2 weeks you were on. That was a terrible dosing protocol, much too infrequent. Regardless of if you’re on 100 or 200 a week you want to be splitting that dose and pinning it twice a week, not 1 big shot a week.

Yeah I do can 100 mg every 3 days and I am dialing my diet and pretty good, I think that I'm going to give it about another month let my test levels even out a little bit more and then probably blast at 12 week cycle probably just up my test to 500 mg a week and start the first four to six weeks or so with the oral at the beginning with it and not sure what other compound I want to go with the test on an injectable just try to get up the park closer to where I would like to be in size and then really lean up with the extra size I know clean shredding type diet and then maintain off of that for a while not sure how long I'm going to run the cycle for yet depends how my body reacts with the compounds and with my workout in diet routine adjusted accordingly. Right now at the clinic they are hitting me for 250 bucks includes blood work and 110 ml bottle of test every 10 weeks my primary care physician will not write a script for it it's a new one I just started going to recently my previous position that used to write the script for me he had to retire because of health issues so I'm just going another route still monitor my labs pretty good though. Just a heads up if anything is misspelled or there's no punctuations it's because I'm using talk to text being a little lazy right now LOL

But I have not done a cycle since my mid-40s was the last time so I am probably off a little bit on how long I'm going to run the orals in the beginning as I said I'm just now starting to get back into all of this so I'm not sure exactly what I want to put together yet. And for how long I want to run different compounds.

Being in your 50s id take it slow. You’re not 30 anymore. You can grow a lot on 100mg every 3 days. Thats 230mg a week. Which will have your test levels north of 1500. Whether you do a real blast now or in 6-12 months won’t matter. You’ve been on the new dose for 1 month so it’s just now starting to kick in. The next 3-4 months you can grow like a weed if you have your diet and training dialed in. You also need to ease back into training heavy. Jumping on 500mgs and the resulting increase in strength after not training for years is a recipe for injury for anyone, but especially someone in their 50s. You don’t want an injury that you can’t recover from and you can never get big again, which is a real possibility in your 50s.

I’m in a somewhat similar boat to you, although I’m younger. I’ve been off gear for 5-6 years now. My test was non existent during that time, completely crashed. We were having kids so i had to stay off. I trained the whole time but made basically no progress. Went backwards if anything. I’ve been on TRT at 150mg a week now for a while and I’m gaining muscle and strength at a very good rate. Muscle memory plus consistently higher then average test levels (no fluctuations up and down like with natural test) plus solid diet and training is a recipe for growth. Why increase dosages to harmful levels for gains that can be made a tad bit slower on Lower and safe dosages? I believe in milking each stage for close to everything it’s worth. I’ll stop gaining at this at some point and need to increase but I’m not doing it until then.

So I’d recommend you spend atleast 6 months building back your base of muscle and strength and growing as much as you can at your current dosage before doing a higher dose blast. Then think about going up to 400-500mg a week of test. Orals are pretty harsh, but they are fun and provide a good kickstart to the longer ester cycles. You just gotta be careful eith blood pressure. And they will destroy your cholesterol while you’re on them. So limit it to 4 or 6 weeks max.

Absolutely I like your suggestion for the time being I think I'm going to follow it LOL nice thing about some of the orals such as the ball you can get an injection form anyways these days but you're absolutely right I remember I used to take 600 mg a week like it wasn't shit but then again that was a different time thanks for the advice much appreciate it.
